hi i recently come into investing. bought 1 apple share costing 190$. few days ago, just got my dividend of 0.25$ after tax 0.17$. for 190$ to get 0.17$, is this consider good return? how much of apple stock must i buy to get at least a decent maybe 100$ devidend? need some words of encouragement from you.
I'm not kelvin, but I think the dividend % is ever changing. same as the stock price. with these 2 variables in place no one in the world can tell u how much apple stock u need to net u $100. Also for dividend I would be more interested to invest in Singapore's dividend stocks (Like our local banks) because if you invest in U.S dividend stock, they have a withholding tax of a whopping 30%.
To add on to what @bluezgoldz said, Apple is more of a growth stock than dividend stock, eg it currently has 0.54% dividend yield. If you prefer dividend stock, better to go with Singapore banks/REITs which are paying 3-6% dividend.
My thoughts.....Apple will be one of the big winners in A1 technology, as AI becomes prevalent in coming years, it will incorporate into its products and will have AI apps which everyone needs to download to perform their AI tasks... Any comments....

VUG is fine. SCHD is bad because there's a 30% dividend withholding tax. If wanna invest in individual stocks, just make sure to diversify
