    I've heard Nicholas Phan play the Matthew Passion narrator in Bucharest a few years ago. Left such an impression on me that even though I came here looking for Joseph Monticello's flute, I now have to binge watch some "Ich will bei meinem Jesu wachen" recordings.

    Most beautiful Benedictus since Horst Laubenthal, I can certainly hear his influence in this magnificent tenor gentleman. Bravo!!! ❤

      Would you please explain a little the influence of Laubenthat you hear on this tenor? I don't hear it. I actually hear (and see) a bit of affectation here that bothers me and affects my enjoyment of the piece. Thanks.
