All playoff teams that the Mavs played late in the season were vying for playoff spots or home court, no one was tanking.
They were dogs in every series and surprised everyone except Mavs fans.
Saying that a kawhi-less Clippers, a 1-seed OKC w/ #2 MVP, and the #1 Defense that just knocked off the Champs, isn’t impressive is just lying to yourself. These are best of 7 series, not just single games.
By far and by matchup, the Celtics should be the toughest matchup, but to dismiss the Mavs is ignorant. They’ve gotten better with every game.
I love how everyone thinks that their team can shut down Luka’s pick and roll, shut down Kyrie, and assume the Mavs can’t defend their team’s strengths. Mavs have proven the majority wrong the whole time.

Not on Celtics level? "They haven't played good opponents." What a Joke.
Dallas just beat 3 50 win teams in the west. So the Celtics have the better opponents this playoffs? LOOOOL GTFO. Who did the Celtics beat this playoffs????? bunch of under 50 win teams with injured stars.

😂😂Every Dallas fan now getting flashbacks of three previous opponents claiming to have the edge...
Realistic guess would be 6 for Celtics but keep dreaming of a sweep. My prediction is Mavs in 6 or 5 if Luka plays like playoffs himself (finally somewhat since last game). Love to see how the stars will match up 😈. Be happy with the stronger supporting cast. Celtics will need that and maybe they will succeed lifting the Boston stars to there first titel. May the best team win!🎉

I got the Celtics in 4 in a rather boring and easy finals. It’s just too simple for their roster honestly. Hope I’m wrong but impossible to see otherwise

Ppl love to paint the story Dallas isn’t the best team out west.. that’s because they don’t watch enough basketball during the season… and then, turn it on during the playoffs only… making their judgement from there. Dallas is in fact the best team out west and would have beaten the presumed favorite Denver easily. Why? Denver lost a ton when Jeff green and Bruce brown left in FA. Seems regular in ppls minds but it’s the same simple difference when Dallas added pj Washington and gafford. With all that said, Triangle theories don’t work 100% of the time. But Boston does seem to have an advantage on Dallas.. exciting & ready,,, let’s see.

Going into the playoffs, the narrative was the the only team that could beat Boston was Denver. The media and fans said if Denver was to get eliminated, Boston is too good for whoever wins the West. Fast forward, everybody is a Mavs fan. I live out West, and nobody and I mean nobody is wearing Mavs apparel.

I am concerned that Boston will be caught off guard how much better this team is than the last time they played. I hope not, but it would track with how they have played in the past.

@@justinquinn4663 I am not. Boston has not played down to its competition all season nor have they take short cuts. Fans have heard the players say they have gotten better because of their mistakes. To go 64-18 the regular season and 12-2 in the playoffs (so far) is not easy.

@@justinquinn4663we played this same Dallas team after the trade. Moreover, it’s the energy our top two players have for Luka in general. Tatum is viewed not as good & poor Jaylen, he’s viewed as not as marketable or not as liked as either. Creating a chip on Jaylen and Jayson’s shoulders performance wise. When you throw in Dwhite and Jrue versus Dallas’ backcourt defensively, it’s making for an exciting game all around. I can’t wait. We needed an exciting finals for once.

@@VillainArch22 Just a little over a week after the trade, they hadn't integrated them yet, and definitely hadn't found their formula for success. I definitely favor Boston as I noted in the pod, but I do worry they'll have the same perspective as you and not step on their necks as they should out the gate.
