Literally, he IS Jared Kleinman
only two years late, probably no one's gonna see this anyway but well... i know people who are exactly like will described himself, confident, but mean, loud mouthed, inconsiderate, insensitive (maybe on purpose, maybe not, who knows), sb who just doesn't give a fuck what others think and who can _not_ empathize with people who do care about others' opinions, ppl with insecurities and self doubt etc, they're completely oblivious to that.
jared acts like a dick in the beginning of the musical, but even though he doesn't wanna admit it... he's not the "cool" guy either, he's not particularly popular or has many friends - that's what he wants people to think/see. i'm not saying jared is secretly deeply insecure inside, but he does show throughout the musical that he cares more than he'd like to admit and that evan really is his (only?) friend (which he denies at first). there's a lot more depth to jared's character.
so those two personalities barely overlap at all. will even said he was "lucky" probably because he _didn't_ ever have to worry about being liked/accepted, having/finding friends, stuff like that. as the person usually causing these problems for others (a bully as he actually said) you really are the lucky one, especially as a kid.
to the point, while this is a funny and entertaining story now, people like george (nerdy overweight gay theater kid (come on, how many more stereotypes are there?)) or me or so many other kids probably would have hated and despised someone like will in high school. jared would still be some sort of weird outsider, wanna be cool kid who _i think (!)_ people would either ignore or pity.
so that's why i disagree. oke bye :)

How I found be more chill was, when I was listening to Dear Evan Hansen a be more chill animation came up, it was called more then survive. I clicked it and loved it. And then the next day I searched it on a RUclips account. And then day through and through I loved to musical. And the squip

I’m trying to get my boyfriend into the musical... but he isn’t the musical type.... I blasted the Broadway soundtrack all day today and I caught him dancing to it.... maybe I’m converting him 🤓🧐
Joe is such a relatable person. He speaks kind of awkwardly but he owns his awkwardness and I can just see myself in that. I loved this whole video, I feel like through every Be More Chill interview I learn something new about the show and the incredible creative team and actors who are a part of it.
I love watching Joe playing the piano, he clearly has so passion!

So right after watching this I looked up the podcast of be more chill that she mentioned long story short George cries six times during that podcast I'm just like wow im glad im not the only one who is emotional
I looked this podcast up and I just have so much more respect and love for everyone who worked on this wonderful musical(I also may or may not have cried multiple times but iTs FinE)

Sorry, I just had to make the joke and don't mean to offend you in any way. I want to point out that in the actual lyrics, she never says if she's for or against gun control. I like to think she means that, like me, she's for gun control but then again, I'm Dutch so my opinion isn't relevant to the USA gun control debate.
Sven Haaijman I mean, knowing that the story takes place in New Jersey and that New Jersey is mostly for gun control that would make sense. That’s how I interpret it at least.
