He isn't standing, as you claim. Have ya ever swam before? Godzilla's merely bobbing. He's a creature of the sea, man, he KNOWS how to bob.
Idunno I just feel like he wouldn’t be able to atomic breath without his feet planted
@WatchMitchWatch Perhaps not. But then again, he's also a multi-ton prehistoric hell beast that breathes atomic murderflame. I'd forgive him his physics breaking water walk, 'specially since he's done it for damn near 70 years.
@@WatchMitchWatch Godzilla franchise has never been consistent after the 1954 film.
I really don’t understand why it’s such a big deal. If you just take out alligators amongst other animals able to do that, has no one ever swam in the deep end of a pool before?
@@mattrasp1615 nah I never have. What’s it like?
When you bring up it's like jaws, well fun fact. The director said he was heavily influenced by jaws and jurassic park because those are his favourite films and when he actually met stephen Spielberg at the red carpet he felt like a dream come true, not only that but he found out spielberg watched minus one 3 times!
Imagine meeting the man who influenced your work and then to find out he's seen what you made multiple times. Wholesome stuff
That’s awesome. You can definitely tell!
To add more fun to the fact, the Jaws scene was also heavily inspired by the original 1954 Godzilla.
@@thatdragon_fromspyro1219 ahhh there you go, that’s some good trivia right there
@@thatdragon_fromspyro1219 so its a cycle
He also gave Spielberg the Godzilla figure he's always carrying around when they met
3:22 Fun fact: in the Minus One novel it is mentioned that Gojira did see Koichi on the plane, but when he saw that Koichi was harmless he decided to ignore him.
Interesting. He should’ve worried!
This also helps see into his mindset, if its harmless he ignores it. The reason for why he attacked at night was because of the light they shone on him. He is confirmed to be a deep sea creature that only comes up to the surface at night meaning he HATES bright light. When they shone that floodlight onto him he instantly went on the attack due to being provoked. Later on he gets nukes and sees humans as a problem thats also in his territory making him go in and attack.
I thought Noriko was gonna die of radiation poisoning, but I guess she has a fate worse than death being infected by Godzilla's cells. A bittersweet ending for sure...damn I'm gonna tear up.
Will be interesting to see what happens next!
i think she will turn into a monster as well and then fight with Godzilla
14:36 “it’s like a nuke.”
That is why they called it the Atomic Breath for nothing. (Evil smile)
It’s referred to as the “Heat Ray” in the film.
@daderowley4514 But we all like to call it the "Atomic Breath."
@@andrewestrada6531 No ik, I just know it was named that specifically. Just like how 1954’s atomic breath is called “incandescent light”.
Muehehhehe
Evil smile.. That reminds me of GMK! The first one to shoot out a nuclear Bomb!
“Godzilla shouldn’t be standing in the ocean it’s too deep!”
Have people never heard of a thing called treading water?
Have you seen how slow he moves his legs when he walks? Doubt he can tread water
He also has a big ass tail bro.
Even if that’s true, his tail would surely be strong enough to support his weight in the water.
I’ve seen videos of crocodiles literally propelling themselves out of the water to catch food, so would it be too much to assume that Godzilla’s huge muscular tail could at least keep him buoyant.
@@WatchMitchWatch He's probably just floating like a duck, or treading with his tail
@@WatchMitchWatch HE FLOATS
This is like watching a movie with my emo, depressed teenage nephew
Emo, shit haven’t heard that in a while. Haha what makes you say that? Do I need to smile more?
@@WatchMitchWatchYes, you need to
Seemed pretty happy to me
@@claus_al_aerth appreciate you. Not sure what they’re on about
The fact that you’d watch your depressed teenage nephew and not do anything about it is a worry. Get off RUclips and take him out somewhere
From an American's perspective, we have WW2 technically ending on two different dates.
The War in Europe and the War in Japan.
For example, "VJ Day" means "Victory over Japan", and that was the official end of WW2 in the Pacific....then again, we had the peaceful occupation/rebuilding/reconstruction phase.
The underwater decoy team died. He threw their ship through a building lol
I Watched Godzilla minus one three times at the cinema. And I cried every time. And now I'm crying again because of your reaction. Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from Japan with love.
By the way, this movie is still showing in cinemas in Japan.
ありがとう👍😀
You’re welcome! I’m glad you loved it. I wish it was still in cinemas here. I’d love to see it in IMAX
You are a person who values family love. I could tell by the way you were in the scene with the little girl that you are a very kind person.
Thank you! I like to think so
Wanna mention this Film had a 13 or 15 Million Dollar Budget...
Is that right? Wow that’s insane!
@@WatchMitchWatch Actually its around 10. The first report was 15 and then the director said he wishes it was that much.
That's what happens when you don't stupidly pay your lead actor $50mil and have 49 producers collecting multi-million dollar paychecks even though they have nothing to do with the production.
@@RealBLAlley Where do you think they get money from to make a film?
Yeah. Producers.
If I'm giving out x amount of millions, I want to see a return too.
My top 3 films I’ve ever watched!
He isn't standing, he has the ability to be up right in water a 1/3 his height. He's always had that power!
If the water is 1/3 his height in depth?
minus one floats like a fish does, it has a swimbladder
They literally explain this in the movie and it's a crucial plot detail in their plan to defeat him by making him sink. I'm not sure how people really missed this? It's part of the plot???
@@HamSammichOG they explain this after the fact. I said it during the fight where they realised he can regen so the mines won’t work
In ending scene, Noriko’s neck has show some black mark spreading, director had confirmed that’s “Godzilla cell”.
Godzilla has infected his victims and turning them into non-human things, just like nuclear weapons did to its survivors.
Yeahh ok I thought so. Makes sense
its okay that you teared up i teared up too
this movie makes us do that It has a nice balance of badass moments, sad moments, sympathetic moments
Fun fact about this Godzilla's atomic breath, if you go back to the nuke scene in Ginza you can see 5 stages of his atomic breath The charge up, The Release, the force of the explosion pushing away from Godzilla destroying everything and everyone and the final stage you can see the explosion retract towards Godzilla, and then the aftermath. the last time I cried during a Godzilla movie was Godzilla Vs Destroyah 1995
Some of it was heartbreaking. Yeahh the end of Godzilla vs destroyah was sad, I agree!
@@WatchMitchWatch mmhmm
Love how minus one only made 55 mil in theaters and G x K made 197 mil 😂😂
you ok?
There's no way to compare since the release date is so short.
he doesn't stand in the water, he's got a swim bladder and can float lol at least in other movies anyways. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie
one thing barely anyone notices is how his atomic breath damages him. It burns the skin off and I guess that ties in to the healing factor being so destructive you are a liability to your own body
I understand that is a Godzilla cell on her neck. Likely the reason why she survived the blast. It helped regenerate her. I've also heard that it is a symbol for Mothra. Could we have a sequel featuring Mothra?? -OG
Oooo interesting, that would be really cool! I hope they do more cause this movie was awesome, and it is such a big world that they can expand on. Endless possibilities
脱出装置について予想余裕でしてたと思ったら、病院戻る直前で涙する・・・リアクションとしてもドラマチックじゃないか!w
pretty sure godzilla minus one has natural buoyancy.
Glad you liked the movie!
Godzilla being fictional and his biology and physiology are way different from anything. The argument could be made that he would have some sort of modified swim bladder to allow him to float, and "stand up" In water. Like real life crocodilians, but him being a fictional aquatic creature, and upright, he could float in a way that makes him look like he's "standing"
Using his tail for stability.
He's always been able to use his atomic breathe in our on water. Those are seemingly as powerful as this one.
So as far as being able to use it in water, it would be cool to see recoil in the water. Otherwise he never really has an issue using his breathe in or underwater
I'm pretty sure godzillas not standing he just has a natural buoyancy
who cares how is he standing, it looks awesome.
I went through stupid complicated hoops to see this online in Denmark. Totally worth it. Then I stayed up late watching various reactions for further insight. Stumbled on your channel, so I smashed the like and subscribe. You had me sold at "the big d..." in your bio LOL
Same with me in Oz but I got it done! Hahaha big d small eyebrows. If you watch my stuff you'll see that my eyebrows are far from small
fun fact:when godzilla bites the train it's a reference from the 1954 original and he's eyes being all white is also a reference from gmk where godzilla was turned into a living corpse being helped by the ghosts of world war 2 victims
He wasn't standing. He was floating. Those big ass stomach, legs and tail were able to support it in the upright position.
minus one just floats like a duck and sways his feet, not just standing up.
Pretty sure that they said that Godzilla floats in this film, I don’t remember how though
great video ;)
アキコはゴジラより強いね。
Let's go!
Godzilla mostly fat, so he floats
He's big boned
IM TRYNA REACT TO THIS TOO BUT INCANT FIND IT NO WHERE! Where can I watch this movie?..if u can help that’d be appreciated 🙏🏾
Most realistic part was then neighbor woman handing him the telegram and then smacking him. Three times. I have a Japanese MIL and that’s a “I care for you and you piss me off sometimes.”
I think Godzilla used his tail to float and sorta stand/hover
You should watch 2001's GMK Giant Monsters all out Attack. Its a great action packed godzilla movie, with some great special effects. The director of -1.0 said its his favorite godzilla movie and minus one takes alot of influence from it
Oooo interesting, I’ve never heard of it. Sounds like an idea!
Nice Reaction bro, Somewhere in the novel it states that Godzilla Minus One has natural buoyancy like a duck, that's how he keeps afloat in the water.
So that's Godzilla's cell that is raining after the atomic breath in tokyo?
It’s black rain. An after effect of a nuclear explosion.
Dude how are you watching that I can’t find it anywhere!

17:15 also what was that you said about Godzilla having small arms.

How is he upright in the water you ask?….I’m going with he can control his buoyancy. It’s literally the only mental gymnastics I can live with. Haha.
Obviously he isn’t treading water, like some of smug boobs are saying. It’s because….movie…lol.
Im a little puzzled by your reaction. You got emotional at the last scene with Akiko but you cut out all of the other emotional scenes
which other scenes are you talking about exactly? I may not have reacted to those when I was watching it so I needed to edit around them. I had some copyright issues too so I had to take a bunch of stuff out. Godzilla smashing stuff always takes priority over an emotional scene
