I am grateful to live in a world where Ryan Reinolds is willing to take a break from cinema to teach us about bayesian hierarchical models for free.

This is the best concise explanation of the hierarchical models that I have ever heard. Thank you.

Great explanation. Has anyone ever thought of using these ideas for a language model? You would have continuous learning built in due to the Bayesian Approach?

I think a video on challenges of using such models could be useful.

Unless I'm wrong, I feel as though the bayesian hierarchal model approach is like what someone with very rich domain knowledge would use... where as, say a physicist who knows math but not a domain, would probably try applying something such as an ornstein uhlenbeck process or something... does that sound ballpark?
