- The IS-4M Is a 7.7 soviet tank in War Thunder. I love this tank, even though its pretty close to being useless at its tier. The armor surprisingly does work, so long as you dont get uptiered to 8.7 where you have to fight apfsds. The RP gains are stupidly slow, to the point where you could get double aces every game and still take over 30 games to spade a tank. This isnt even top tier, the top tier grind is 100x worse.

IS-4M only fears 3 things : heat shells (heat, heatfs atgm and co), planes, and ennemy swarming you while you reload for ages
Which, funnily, means it fears virtually everything in and above its BR
It's really the EPITOME of "the obsolete heavy tank".
The conqueror is 7.7 and you have better armor and gun lol

Yea the Russian 122 might be good but the 75mm on the Strv m/42 EH is incredible, 15 degrees of depression, APHE that overpressures and enough pen.

Yeah, the EH has my vote on de-stressing at lower tiers. Great gun, great armor, great mobility. Can do anything and everything except maybe penetrate things from the front, but why bother shooting at stuff head on when you have a light tank level of mobility? Hahaha! One of my tanks of all time.

Umm, akshually, track and barrel shots don't count as bounces, because they do daamge to your tank and are often done intentionally 🤓
Also, nice to see atleast someone who acknowledges the fact the APHEBC shell is better majority of the times. More than half of the playerbase seem to be unaware of the angle performance of the APHEBC shells compared to APCBC ones (especially noticeable when they gave the IS-2 1944 back its D shell).
I only took the higher pen round for fighting tanks like the maus. sadly I didnt have it unlocked in that fight
in my experience apcbc is better from the t44 100

the is-4m is a very good tank if its against conventional rounds, but once anything with chemical rounds arrive it gets fucked hard sadly.
i loved this tank back then when it was lower lmao it was a beast, now its just a mediocre beast
It can bounce some Heat rounds, unlike the m103, that tank is very sad

That stabilizer has saved my ass in a hundred duels with other heavy tanks that’s for sure!

even with the annoying grind. IS-4M is still fun to play and had some fun bouncing shit with it. but saying that. even with the better mobility. the gun on the Maus is better and that little 75mm will ruin people's life's. :)
