I don't get why Konami doesn't release archetypes instead of releasing 1 Ur dark magician in a mini box, and now a Ur in a full box. I know they are making money like this, but this is getting ridiculous.
Yeah, makes it incredibly hard to build decks like Dark Magician if the good cards are stretched throughout multiple boxes, regardless of whether or not it's main or mini.
The thing is that they kinda cant with some of those, Magical Circle works extremely well with Navigation, if they had released them both at the same time it would break the game since the meta was so different back then and we didnt have as many banishment cards. Some archetypes like Heroes and Scraps really have no reason to be so spread but this one actually makes sense, so they either do that or release a new support after half a year of waiting.
Been playing exact same deck but without Dark Magician Circle and have just been getting ABSOLUTELY rekt in Ranked. Really want DMC but I wonder how viable it will actually make this deck against the current Meta.
Well there's ur problem, u didn't have circle, it's kinda insane how consistent this deck is but the main card (circle) is locked in a main box full of trash cards.

@@Tommygunn258 Went to Legend 5, had 2 rank-up games, but lost both and had a HUGE losing streak from then on out. Went from Legend 5 to Legend 1, some of the game's mechanics didn't work, I kept getting bad hands and matchups, and I just rage-quit :P
If you do NOT want to use the skill "Beatdown". Any duelist with the "Ties that Bind" will also work. The problem with this deck is the fact it is a banish happy style. Metaphys and Shiranui love being banished and springing nasty effects. Secondly, THIS DECK IS EXPENSIVE AF, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE TO BE CALLED FREE 2 PLAY. It is Tier 2 Worthy but expensive.
Spiritmaster is the only Shiranui that you dont want to banish. And rarely are Shira players going to leave a non synchro on the field, let alone Spiritmaster. So there's no real negative to banishing outside of that one card.
@@thebee9853 Let's not forget Shiranui Squire (which allows graveyard set up.) , Shiranui Solitare (which allows banished card reuse or if the field spell is in play ... 2 of them), or Shiranui Samurai which just allows a straight Graveyard recycle). No offense, if it is face down ... banishing any non-synchro Shiranui card is risky, and banishing any Shiranui Synchro without a plan is just dumb. Effects from the Shiranui can affect a game in numerous ways. And Metaphys is still out there. The banish effect is very powerful (I agree with DLM) but this isn't exactly auto Tier 1 play and win, you have to have a working brain to counter certain decks.
magicians rod says the card must specifically list "dark magician" but technically eye of Timaeus does not do this, it lists a "dark magician < monster > " therefor it is not able to search for eye

Put in eternal soul, and summon dark magician the dragon knight, dk will make it so your spells or traps may not be destroyed, and es will make it so your dark magicians may not be targeted by spells or traps (dk identifies as a dark magician while on the field or graveyard) also he has 3000 attack and ES will let u special summon once per turn either a dark magician from the graveyard or a thousand knives or a dark magic attack

Absolutely, even one is fine, you only need one, maybe two Dark Cavalry, that one is by FAR the most important, as it is your true boss monster and your only 3000+ ATK(with its effect)powerhouse with at least 3 useful (and necessary) effects. Unless you want to create a DM synchro deck, no regular DM deck is complete without Dark Cavalry.

Update: I used this exact same deck as in the video and went from Legend 1 to KOG in about a day and a half. It's really that damn good..
