  • What happens when you force two completely different people to share a room at an assisted-living residence? The fight of the century. This is the premise of David Lindsay-Abaire's new comedy, Ripcord, a production of Manhattan Theatre Club that will be directed by Tony winner David Hyde Pierce at New York City Center. Starring in Lindsay-Abaire's slugfest are two brilliant actresses we can't wait to see step into the ring: Emmy winner Holland Taylor and Drama Desk winner Marylouise Burke. TheaterMania chatted with the team, which also includes TV favorite Rachel Dratch, about this new play, which Pierce describes, perhaps ominously, as "like when [boxers] Frazier and Ali got together. Only without the fisticuffs."
