The gold standard of at home workout programs! Just started a round today! Many people complain about the "overly complicated" moves in this program, however I think it's the only beachbody program with moves like this that were actually well thought out on the actual benefit of them. Whereas the modern programs just toss together complicated complex moves for the sake of being "hard." X2 was extensively researched and tested and anyone who can complete a full round will absolutely see results like never before. I also absolutely love the "test bed" One on One routines. This era of Tony was the best.
X2 is just crazy I get nervous from seeing all those moves especially when they keep balancing on what I assume on medicine ball as well as stability ball. I quickly tell myself na I'll work up to it eventually, eventually then never comes and I'm stuck doing X1, X3 or shaunt T program in continuum. Maybe one day I'll tackle the fabled X2. Thank you again parrot for this entertaining review
Parrot, you're the reviewer I've been looking for. You clearly know what you're talking about and you're absolutely hilarious. I find myself watching your reviews just for the chuckle.
Skipped over X2 simply because there was a lot of extra equipment involved in order to do it properly. Looks fun though, may have to give it a go this year
Can you also do The New P90. And the hidden gem called Double Time. Let me just say, I did Double Time as a prehab for my shoulders. It might be a kid's workout, but it's a decent one if you give it your best. 😉 Great video as always, Mr. Parrot!
Well done on showing the merits of Tony’s programs while providing a cautionary tale on MLM (and Bodi was pretty bad in that way… not sure if they are entering Death Star phase but I do believe the glory days are behind them). I had the online subscription 2017-2023 and couldn’t quite get into Tony’s personality but always respected him (to be clear, I don’t like too many of the personalities, with Autumn being the worst…. but you are more objective). Keep it up!
i still do the ab rountine from p90x2 all the time and I warmup with the ball swings/atlas except I use a 12lb med ball. Now that I have cats I can't have stability balls anymore lol
Now that I'm a bit older, I largely stay away from programs like X2. If you're younger, in good shape, recover quickly, and want a challenge, then X2 is great. You'll definitely improve your athleticism and flexibility. If you're older and you're looking for a challenge, the original P90X is still the best. There's added focus on lifting weights in more isolated movements, which lends itself to better muscle development and maintenance without as much risk of injury ( something people over 40 should prioritize).
I loved the first P90X but I always struggled with P90X2. It really was two advanced for me. I still did much of it with modifications but it obviously was WAAAY too advanced for me. Didn't really like 3. But I'm interested in what you have to say about it.
I’m digging these reviews! Would love to see your review and takes on Tony’s Hard Corps (which looks super gimmicky) and Rev Abs! What happened to Brett Hoebel? He disappeared faster than Leandro Carvalho! I’d also love to learn more about the behind the scenes of the Les Mills era via Pump and Combat. Cheers!
Pretty much this. P90X is doable and you're going to feel it. P90X2 is just an injury waiting to happen and while your core will get a lot of work, you'll actually lose definition and muscle. P90X3 is not bad. Just not good.
If you mean the original P90X2 review, probably very few! But there were so many items in that video that would never survive a copyright check these days! A simpler time back then.
2004 to 2011 is seven years, not six (0:20). In fact it's closer to eight years (4/10/2004 to 12/25/2011 = 7 years, 259 days). Conclusion: I'd rather fact check RUclips videos than do P90X today lol.

LETS GO!!!! Coming soon, Dysfunctional Parrot reviews P90X3
YAAAAAAAAAY!!! That's my bias out of the P90X Series.
Don’t forget p90
You made my morning! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love P90X content

We need an entire channel of people getting smoked by a balance ball
Where has Dysfunctional Parrot been my whole life. Great video! Looking forward to the P90X3 review!

More reviews please. Well done.
Dude I found your channel cause of the first 1 and your commentary is hilarious. Keep it up man
Thanks, will do!

I personally loved it. It was damn tough in places, but it pushed me. P90X3 still remains my favorite though,
I loved One-on-One... "It's like RUclips, but you have to pay for it...."
I did 2 rounds of P90x3… my favourite of all!
I think it was Pavel Tsatsouline who coined the phrase "random acts of variety." Seems appropriate with this one.

Bodi should be paying you so they can air this as a infomercial
Well, I’ve certainly dumped on a good number of their offerings that they might have pause. 😁
I did p90x2 I found it to be not as good. I also have p90x3. Still credit the p90x for saving my life. Cheers parrot.

Please do one of the One On One Series! Great stuff!
I love these reviews!
After you do one on all of them give us a sepereate comparison video please. Thanks for taking time to edit in clips and add jokes.
Will do!
Awesome
Before P90X2 there was P90X+. It was alright...
P90x - the original is the one ring. Still use it to this day
P90x2 - had so many ridiculous movements...made no sense.
P90x3 - decent.
Pretty much this.
P90X is doable and you're going to feel it.
P90X2 is just an injury waiting to happen and while your core will get a lot of work, you'll actually lose definition and muscle.
P90X3 is not bad. Just not good.
Great review, also congrats your dear leader resigning
Thank you and THANK GOD. 😊
P90x3 is the best!
Please Insanity Asylum 1 and 2❤
It’ll happen!
Who else knows this is a remake?

Loved P90X. I despised X2.

😊 Fact checkers matter! You’re doing the Lord’s work!
