Hey! Thank you for this great course. I have a question. Pd doesn't recognize my headphones as an output device. I can play the sounds only through my Mac's built-in speakers. How can I solve this?
Did you make sure your DSP is on? I made that mistake too. If that doesn't work then maybe your computer audio is going to the wrong place if you're using an interface?
Hello, I really like your tutorials. I have some questions : first, how do you do to have signalspy capture your Pd output ? Then which vanilla version of Pd do you use ? I have the 0.51.3 and have one issuue, when I use the keyboard shorcuts to put an object (cmd+shift+1, french keyboard) it puts 2 connected empty objects.
if you’ve just opened Pd it might be that you’re looking at the log window. try pressing cmd+n (or ctrl+n) to create a new sketch first. then you should be able to use the Put menu
Fair call about not explaining how to open a new patch window (select New from the File menu), methods for creating the boxes are covered at around the 6:30 min mark.
Your mastery of Pd is only second to the clarity of your explanations during these videos. Mindblowingly good content!
The best pure data tutorial and lecturer which I have ever seen! Thanks!

You never say how to open a new patch. You never say what keys you're hitting to create the boxes. Only 5 minutes in, and I'm done.
