I have been trying to get back into art after probably 4 year, that was when I had kids and life has revolved around then since. So I've been taking inspiration from things I know I used to enjoy doing and it really has helped a lot.
The hardwear is called a sawtooth hanger. I personally wouldve done eyelet screws and a wire or ribbon for hanging cuz its more secure to the wall when hanging.
This was fun. I love, love, love the flowers. Simplicity and style. So many color possibilities with different flowers. Sorry but I think the mushroom’s background was a little too bright for me. A shimmer behind a plain mushroom with under cap detailing would be nice. The twinning pictures brought back memories. Can’t wait for the store.
Verathane makes a water soluble varnish that’s pretty safe. It’s found at a lot of places like Home Depot and Lowe’s and it’s pretty affordable. It can also be layered so you can do a couple coats.
I love how the mushroom shape and the flower middles play with the grain and textures of the wood!! I definitely prefer the one-by-one setup of presenting the pieces, just my opinion. Of course the vid was still fun like this :)
I really love the flowers with blue wash-so pretty! And the mushroom..and the zentangle flower...lol. I do prefer the start to finish format, though, as each piece had its own mood so I felt like I was rapidly changing moods-but I’m just weird, so there’s that 🤓
This was amazing, loved the designs:-) You said if we liked it when you showed us multiple pices at the time... I would rather see one and one, like if you do 5 pieces in one video, begin with 1 then 2, then 3 and so on... But that's just me, and I love to see the whole process:-) Hugs From Norway

I love all of these!! So beautiful. I love when you use colored pencils. I think they really bring out your artistic talents. You always do such a good job with shading and I love how your colored pencils look.
Hey Sarah! You said in the video that you are looking for a good sealer to use on your wood pieces- I highly recommend using Liquitex Gloss Varish! It is very durable and shiny when it dries. Good luck with the shop! -Ariel ❤️
Theres a clear coat product for acrylic pour painting that could work. Im pretty sure its the same thing as mod podge. But its branded for acrylic paints. I think its at hobby lobby. Moon and cone flower are my faves
For the rainbow one, why don’t you predrill the holes in various places and include the hardware in the package? Just looks cool from different dirrections
Beautiful job on these! I use a spray lacquer on my woodburnings that don't have color. I'll do one light coat, then once it dries sand it lightly, then another coat, and just repeat that until I'm happy with the coverage. For pieces with color, I use a fixative first then do the same process as the ones without color. I've had kind of mixed results with my colored pieces, so there's probably a better way to finish those.
I like all 5. Didn't think I'd like you doing 5 at once vs one at a time, but really did like this. Since you asked, the cornflowers is my favorite. What kind of pencils do you use? Thank you!
I think you should ad gold. But not the entire thing. Make a pin stripe of the other color. And paint the rest gold. As far as you your cloud ones you did a few vids back. I like the fact that you can see the wood grain through the bright colors. But i cant think of a medium you can use that would last longer but give you the same effect. The only thing i can think of is guache. I used guache in art college. Its basically like water color but comes out in tubes. Its a waterbased paint. So you can thin it down to a watercolor consistancy. Which would make it translucent. So you can see the wood grain still. Its blendable just like water color.

I think the best thing would be to purchase wood stain. Micheal's use to sell folk art sized bottles of it , not sure if they still do.

Royal and langnickle is a nice brand and they have mermaid and unicorn brush sets if u want something better that's still cute.

You can get a spray can of Thomas' waterproof clear sealant and use it outside and stray them all down.
you should check out maclin bilski! He does art and lives in Cleveland!

Use a water-based varathane clear coat. It won't yellow the color underneath over time, and an oil based one will yellow

I don't remember the exact name, but there are some great sealers/varnishes in the spray paint area
