I've been with them since the very beginning as well. Not many of us have, and I commend you on your excellent taste in music. Their sound keeps evolving and changing, unlike so many other bands who just repeat whatever worked for them in the past. And yes they are progressively expanding into deeper realms of the universe

So true! He voice just slays me every time...I know some people used to say he sounds like Billy Corgan. Am I the only one who doesn't hear a resemblance? Total respect for Smashing Pumpkins, but his voice is just so different....

There’s a hollowness in Brian’s fractured vocal strains: you can hear the pain, the scars underpinning the lyrics.
I’m not saying it feels empty, or that Brian is struggling vocally- quiet the opposite... just you can feel how much emotion he’s poured into this song and it’s slight imperfections make it incredible.
I agree that's what makes his voice and words so intensely profound.
Why are his vocal strains fractured?

Love it. Its neat to here how silversun pickups sound has changed. Nikki's quiet background vocals work well on this one. I remember hearing lazy eye/panic switch on 91X back when those song was growing in popularity. Man I miss 91X having moved to South Florida. There are no good alternative stations here.
