Sir Redcard74, thee LEGENDARY RUclips crimewatch video uploader, and AndyJS, between them both, we had the majority of crimewatch uk, from 1984 to when its format changed, and was never the same again....
I remember People Magazine had an article about the Claire Hood murder in 1995. I think it was the same issue that had the gallery of the daycare kids killed in the Oklahoma City bombing on the cover.
Ah, back when you could buy cigs in shop at 16 and never really had to show ID. Also, when you used to be able to smoke indoors and not freeze ya tits off outside
And in those days smoking was so bloody cheap. What she buys in this reconstruction would have been less than £2, these days you can barely even get a bus ticket or a small coffee for £2. Even in 2007 when I first started smoking you could get 20 B&H Gold from a vending machine and it was around £6.50. These days the machines are banned and those same 20 B&H would be pretty much double the price.
The hooded man watching the kids in the woods and the attack on Margaret Wilson were both disturbing scenes to watch in this episode. I read that the heartless b@stard who killed Mrs Wilson worked at a potato processing facility, derek christian I think?
I’ve been looking for this episode for so long. I lived not far from Claire and her family in st Mellons at the time, I was 14 at the time and her death affected so many of us. We would pass or cut through cath cobb woods daily going to and from school but after this we no longer felt safe doing so. I remember writing a poem for Claire and putting it with all the other tributes left at the entrance to the woods. ❤I moved from st mellons many years ago but I often think about Claire, I will never forget her❤❤❤
@@braxriverboys As far as I know yes, he was only 19 at the time (born 1977) so is still young enough to have a full life, or as much as one can with a murder conviction. Claire would be 45-46 years old at this point had she lived.
I doubt they were taken down by YT, more likely he decided on taking them down. Must say it's rather odd that they have disappeared. I think Redcard downloaded them and has re-uploaded them. Thank god he did though.
@ianbousfield1962 if this is true then yes its a very odd thing to do but I carnt imagine someone would want to charge people to watch RUclips videos from a bygone era
There is no articles indicating julie normans killers got caught. But the wikipedia of unsolved uk murders, doesnt have julie normal on it. Anyone know if it was solved?
Ether I’m getting old or crime seems much worse then thirty years ago and is not taken as seriously by the justice system as once was. But please don’t have nightmares 😆👊
Have you seen the episode where the old man is given a life sentence for stealing an out-of-date Mars bar and the serial killer is given a right good telling off by Junior PC Numpty and told to ‘give it a rest’? British justice, eh?
I think it started when they added those unnecessary bontempi drums to the opening theme music. It’s probably why Sue Cook left. She would have found the acid rave version they adopted in the Rav Wilding years unbearable.
@@cliftonian10 Unbearable is certainly an accurate description of Rav ‘the Chav’ Wilding. As I recall, Susie was more of a waltz and foxtrot girl and still is …🤵♂️
I remember teenagers in those days being hardier, more adventurous, and getting up to more 'stuff' with their mates. Probably because there was much less to do at home. These days teenagers don't just hang around quite as much, or roam the streets aimlessly at midnight. In the 1990s that was perfectly common. Today's teenagers are also smoking and drinking much less, there's much less sex and the average age of losing virginity has slightly crept up, etc.
When did some bright spark in the CW production team suddenly have a lightbulb moment and suggest that it might be a good idea to have the 0500 600 600 number displayed _throughout_ the programme?

@AACE73 No, he's too busy spamming these pages with irrelevant Fawlty Towers garbage, he's done it on most of the episodes.
Thanks for uploading the full episode!
Margaret Wilson and Claire Hood were on the same episode? Both notably hideous crimes.

The murderer of Claire Hood is already out - ridiculous justice
Been out nearly 10 years. Disgusting
He was very young at the time (born 1977) and would now be 47 years old. That's still young enough to have a life, something Claire never got to do.

Nick hates mentioning rewards. He doesn’t respect people who do kindnesses for money. He’s hilarious.

Gunsmiths run after suspects without grabbing a gun themselves, haha.
Just coz they're gunsmiths and acting as vigilantes, doesn't mean they wanna commit a crime themself.
