My top 10 characters are: 10. Bert (Arlesdale Railway) 9. The Fat Controller 8. Salty 7. Skarloey 6. Bear 5. BoCo 4. Cranky 3. Henry 2. Gordon 1. Edward
Another fun fact about George: He had a large scale model built for use in the Jack and the Pack spinoff series, but it got reworked/rebuilt into Buster
They literally could’ve developed on a character that was already loved but decided to make a character that only appeared 2 times ever. Great use of characters right there
The part where you named a bunch of things (the brakedown train, the scared truck and the floorboards) before talking about Henry made me laugh so much 🤣🤣😆
Oh? My god??? Your Henry description made me literally ball my eyes out…!?? I’ve never understood why i’ve always loved him but you just explained it to me. I am SOBBING.
If I had to choose my favorite characters from Thomas, here they are: 10. Donald/Douglas: Because they can do anything and I can relate to them because I do a lot of things and help out if I can. 9. Bear: he’s not mentioned in the railway stories but I like him because he reminds me of what I said for Donald and Douglas. He can do anything and he’s kind. 8: Duke: an engine who’s wise and respected is why he’s my favorite character. 7: Murdoch: strong and proud. He likes having peace and quiet is something I can also relate. I like things quiet sometimes. 6: Arthur; if he can keep his “spotless record”, he can do anything. 5: Skarloey: he’s similar to Duke where he’s wise and respected by his peers. I like his character. 4: Rheneas: he and skarloey may be old but they are kind fellows. He knows how to do hard work. 3: Toby: this character for me is why I like him, Edward and duke at the same time. He may be old, but he is still my favorite character. Why? Because he can be wise and listen about anything and can help in the same way just like Edward, and duke can. 2: Winston: Another character not mentioned in the stories either, he shares a lot of same features as the other characters in the list. 1: Edward: he is the character I look up to from time to time because I’m basically just like him. He can be kind and gentle, but what I like about him is how wise he is and he can give great advice. I can give out great advice as well.
Even if some choices are obvious, Thomas RUclipsrs are pretty much the only ones keeping the true spirit of the show intact. So I was very much looking forward to this vid. Just wanted to say that. Followed your channel for years.
Fun fact: George was supposed to appear in Thomas and The Magic Railroad. He was going to work for Diesel 10 with the promise that the turntable would be turned into a roller ring.
I guess I'll say mine. No one will probably care but you know, I'll just say it. 10. Arthur: Arthur looks amazing with his paintwork I absolutely love it. Also it was great to see his character be more than just an engine who has a spotless record, we see him get his own branch line and it's great. Definatley a memorable and great character. 9. Sir Handel: Sir Handel was always an engine who stick out to me, his model looked a bit like a snail to me and I think he should be used more in future. He also had a great episode with Duke. 8. BoCo: BoCo was a character I never really knew as a child or remembered much, I thought he looked cool and that was it. But when I grew older I started to fall in love with him. Not as wise or determined as Edward but definatley a good father figure for Bill and Ben. Also the beginning shot with the three bridges in the episode Buzz Buzz is my favourite shot in the show and made me live BoCo even more. 7. Percy: Percy was relatable character to me as a child and even more relatable to me when I was older watching season 5. The episodes where Percy just wants a rest and some excitement related to me a lot. He also looks great. 6. Henry: I agree with almost everything T1E2H3 says about him but I feel like he isn't enough to make the top five for me, still a great character none the less. 5. Edward: Watch the Unlucky Tugs video on Edward and you'll see why he's so beloved by the fandom, me included. 4. Oliver: The same things as this video really, also had some of the best episodes and some of my favourites. Definatley deserving of my top five. 3. Duke: Duke is my favourite narrow gauge engine being a great father figure to Stuart and Falcon and his story was very depressing and his episodes were some of the best. Also agreeing with what was said on this video. 2. Murdoch: Many people say Murdoch has no character which I think is wrong. He's a gentle giant who enjoys peace and quiet and time to himself. Extremely relatable to me. I consider myself strong (not like Murdoch or extremely strong but strong) and I'm quite big too. But I consider myself to be gentle sometimes and easy going. Also sometimes being irritated by noise. Also Murdoch just looks stunning, I don't know which one would look better, his model we see in the TVS series or his concept art model, none the less such a looker. Also he's a 9F which is one of my favourite steam engines so that's good to. Honourable mentions before number 1. Salty: Funny and just overall hilarious. Cranky: Same as Salty not to mention having a hilarious episode: No Sleep For cranky. Neville and Molly: Both look great and quite similar to each other, would of enjoyed seeing them interact with each other and Murdoch as I think they all would've gotten on great. Donald and Douglas: Basically the same reasons as in this video. James: One of my favourites as a child and even though I like other characters more he's still got a place in my heart for him. Toad: "That could've been a little smoother." Favourite Toad line, great episodes and Toad's just too loveable. 1. Gordan: Always my favourite character, in my opinion had the greatest character development in the railway series and just a great looker as well. Not just being the basic bully character who just hangs out with the main character but a character who is a sort of father figured to some of the other engines, not to mention having my favourite crash. Station crash in season 5. Gordan is my favourite character for these reasons and more. These are just my opinions and of you don't agree then good for you.
Hey man! Great vid on your favorite characters! Henry was my favorite as a kid too and I also related to him. Henry is my favourite character because while he seems to be a badass in the earlier seasons, deep down he is kind and helpful. Somewhat like me haha plus I'm big (really big) too
I have auto immune liver disease which makes me feel really tired and weak somedays. But on other days I feel really powerful so I can relate to him more now being 17 than I did as a kid.

Toby: his dedication to Henrietta and his unbothered nature are things that I strive to emulate. Donald and Douglas: probably my favorite characters. How well they work together and the ways they interact reminds me of me and my sister. Plus all the reasons mentioned in the video. Salty: the way he likes to tell great stories reminds me of my dad. He's also just really cheerful while going about his work. Rusty: I wish I had Rusty's self-confidence in "Rusty To The Rescue". They know their job and does it well. Edward: just a really wise old engine who can be trusted to solve problems between others. Never let his age determine his ability. Reminds me a bit of my mom with his kindness. Henry: pretty much all the reasons mentioned in the video. I find it interesting how a machine can be so fond of nature. Duke: again, many of the reasons stated in the video. He's a great father figure to Peter Sam and Sir Handel. Also reminds me of my dad. Duck: I'm honestly not sure why I like Duck so much. He just has a great personality and works hard. Great video as always! I highly suggest you do your 10 least favorites now. That be interesting and quite funny to hear you rant about why you dislike certain characters
Henry to you is like Toad to me, although really it's more the episode 'Busy going backwards'. After watching that episode the first time, I always sit backwards on public transport, whenever I get the chance.
He's called Diesel 10 since he was the 10th diesel to be introduced into the TV series. Splatter was the 11th, Dodge was the 12th, and Salty was the 13th.
My personal favourites : 🥇Edward 🥈Skarloey & Rheneas (I know they're technically 2 characters but they're in fact real brothers - inseparable just like the Scottish twins!) 🥉Henry 🏅Donald & Dougie, Duck, Boco, Gordon, Flying Scotsman, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duke, Luke, Duncan
3:14 fun fact before Neil Crone was cast as Diesel 10 he was originally supposed to be voiced by Australian voice actor Keith Scott who would have gave him a Russian accent
My Top 10 favorite: 1.Thomas-His cheeky ness and the fact that he’s a kind and good hearted ness and his want to see the world. (I relate to him and want to see the world.) 2.Edward-His wisdom and age, I’ve always had a deep respect for wise people. 3.Toby-His wisdom yet chaotic neutrality. He gives no s**ts and is fine with whom he is. I can sometimes dabble into this territory. 4.Herietta-She’s Toby’s “love interest” and their banter with each other is funny. 5.Henry-The big green engine. He’s a undertone disabled character and I appreciated that. He doesn’t use his “small firebox” as a excuse and does his very best despite the pain He’s in. I 6.BOCO-he’s a nice change of pace from the devious diesel. 7.Oliver-His escape from the scrap. Also his tearing up of Scruffy was hilarious. 8.Toad-The optimistic break van of Oliver. 9.Lady-The fact we don’t know much about her is intriguing. 10.Bill and Ben-They’re comical.
Oliver along with Donald and Douglass kind a inspired me to take no shit in my freshmen year of high school i was called a school shooter and so i went up to him and fought him and got him suspended and got some real respect after that. now i am more take no shit kind a of person.
Henry is my favorite character for me also. Especially in the Flying Kipper. He was favorite of the all thomas merchandise I got as a kid. Especially the Tomy Henry.
Duke is my favorite character to it's like he was like a father figure to like the Stuart and falcon but not just only that his real life counterpart Prince just always fascinates me now
As someone who loves TATMR, Lady is and will always be my favorite simply because of her mystique and the aura of magic and mystery surrounding her. I also love Burnett Stone (even though he is not an engine) and Diesel 10, though he always scared me as a kid. Thomas, Skarloey, Duke, and Henry also are favorites of mine, along with Toby, Edward, James, Gordon, and Rusty.
My favourite remains Edward even after quite some years, now I still like Henry, I also began to respect Gordon more these last months, I also started liking Thomas a bit more and etc.
from the newer series i loved henry and hiros episode where they had bad coal and henry stepped up to push hiro and a whole train of heavy flatbeds up a hill after hiro broke down
I feel that one of the reasons the Culdee Fell railway never appeared on the TV was because the engines having 2 faces might be weird to young audiences
Well That's good of you ranking your top 10 favourite TTTE Characters, When I was a kid Gordon Used to be My favourite Thomas Character, but now My favourite character is absolutely henry!
I can relate to Henry myself as I have lots of medical conditions myself. I have overcome a lot of the issues I have been through, especially after the doctors said I may never walk or talk, and 24 years on, I've defied all the odds. On the 9th of April I will have had 11 years without any surgery on my 3rd Shunt (Hydrocephalus). I still have minor pain from my shunt, but it doesn’t last long and is only a slight dull pain, so at the moment, I'm fortunate, that despite all the issues I've had, I've been able to enjoy life as much as I can.
My favourite characters in Thomas and friends is 3 Edward:old iron 2 Gordon:his crash in season 5 1 Donald and Douglas:break van bruh best death crash ever thanks for Douglas killing him and Donald destroying a signal box but my favourite out the two of them is

Thomas has his sad theme to, but I can see why you didn’t count it.
Great video as always! I highly suggest you do your 10 least favorites now. That be interesting and quite funny to hear you rant about why you dislike certain characters
T1E2H3 is my favorite Thomas youtuber
I agree whit unlucky tugs and trainboy
im sure the tender engines must be on T1E2H3's list
If Gordon is Squidward, and Spencer is Squilliam, then Diesel 10 is Bowser!
That was I was thinking too! Gasp
I think Gordon would make a better parallel to Patrick or mr krabs
Henry to you is like Toad to me, although really it's more the episode 'Busy going backwards'. After watching that episode the first time, I always sit backwards on public transport, whenever I get the chance.
I am so excited!
"God hates Amtrak" dude, that's just priceless !!!
YOU ARE MY FAVORITE THOMAS RUclipsR
@@samuelwilliams1619Same bro, same
I fourth that
I fifth that
Same
Sixth
Love this channel, my childhood burns the brighter because of you, my friend
He's called Diesel 10 since he was the 10th diesel to be introduced into the TV series. Splatter was the 11th, Dodge was the 12th, and Salty was the 13th.
There were 9 diesels before?
Diesel, Boco, Daisy, Mavis, class-40, Rusty, Ary, Bert, who was the ninth?
Edit: ooohhhhhh it was Derek
Im enjoying these review/discussion videos you've been making since the engines of sodor ended 2 years ago or so
If you do another top 10 list, here's a thought: Your top 10 favorite Engines of Sodor episodes.
Spencer being the equivalent of Squilliam is so perfect 😁
Gordon: what are you doing
Spencer: just succeeding at everything you failed at
Did anyone else go through like 4 or 5 favourites at one point.
I went through Henry, Toby, Skarloey, Edward then Duke when I was 5
My little brother used to call diesel 10 “pinchy 10” when we were little and me and my other brother would always get mad
Murdoch’s orange color reminding T1E2H3 of mac and cheese made me laugh a LOT harder than I should have 🤣
Henry is my favorite character and is the most relatable for me, too! I have Aspergers, OCD, and ADHD.
My personal favourites :
🥇Edward
🥈Skarloey & Rheneas (I know they're technically 2 characters but they're in fact real brothers - inseparable just like the Scottish twins!)
🥉Henry
🏅Donald & Dougie, Duck, Boco, Gordon, Flying Scotsman, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duke, Luke, Duncan
FINALLY!!!’ Another Henry fan!!!!!! :)
The Return of the King
The South American railway thing made me laugh! Most notably...
"Was Peter Sam's real name Pedro?"
I personally liked hero of the rails, and having Spencer be the antagonist was genuinely clever, and I comment the writers for that.
18:22 why did I laugh so much 😂
My 10 favorite characters are
10. Salty
9. Luke
8. Lady
7. Stepney
6. Edward
5. Bertie
4. Toby
3. Percy
2. Rosie
And 1. Thomas
3:14 fun fact before Neil Crone was cast as Diesel 10 he was originally supposed to be voiced by Australian voice actor Keith Scott who would have gave him a Russian accent
Smudgers model looks identical to Duncan, but green instead of yellow
It’s actually a repainted Rheneas model
5:16 is still one of my family's favorite moments from your YTPs.

My Top 10 favorite:
1.Thomas-His cheeky ness and the fact that he’s a kind and good hearted ness and his want to see the world. (I relate to him and want to see the world.)
2.Edward-His wisdom and age, I’ve always had a deep respect for wise people.
6.BOCO-he’s a nice change of pace from the devious diesel.
7.Oliver-His escape from the scrap. Also his tearing up of Scruffy was hilarious.
8.Toad-The optimistic break van of Oliver.
9.Lady-The fact we don’t know much about her is intriguing.
10.Bill and Ben-They’re comical.
Thomas is my favourite too
Oliver along with Donald and Douglass kind a inspired me to take no shit in my freshmen year of high school i was called a school shooter and so i went up to him and fought him and got him suspended and got some real respect after that. now i am more take no shit kind a of person.
My 10 favorite characters:
1. Henry
2. James
3. Edward
4. Duck
5. Bill and Ben
6. Sir Handel
7. Oliver
8. Donald and Douglas
9. Salty
10. Arthur
Wow good list
Interesting list. My favorite character is Duncan, but other favorites of mine include Thomas, Toad and Diesel.
16:22 the look on Peter Sam’s face, he looks he’s seen a demon or smth lol
Edward is my favorite he is so nice and kind je warms my heart
Gegorge was my favorite wooden railway toy, I still have him to this day
Henry is my favorite character for me also. Especially in the Flying Kipper. He was favorite of the all thomas merchandise I got as a kid. Especially the Tomy Henry.
My friend I am autistic/ asperger syndrome and C-ptsd . I struggle with a lot. So I can relate
Loving the episode and character commentaries!
Favorites: Percy, Percy, and Percy.
The Fat controller staged the Flying kipper incident because it was cheaper to rebuild Henry than to keep buying Welsh coal
I had like 4 wooden railway Murdoch’s because my parents kept having to buy them since I kept losing them
My favourite remains Edward even after quite some years, now I still like Henry, I also began to respect Gordon more these last months, I also started liking Thomas a bit more and etc.
from the newer series i loved henry and hiros episode where they had bad coal and henry stepped up to push hiro and a whole train of heavy flatbeds up a hill after hiro broke down
Mine were

2. Henry
3. Duke
4. Bill and Ben
5. Duck

@@TracksideManiac it will be Henry
Edward’s still probably gonna be in the top 5
@@littlewestern0969 Maybe
@@kreeeeee who knows maybe we have a plot twist in store for us 😉
I feel that one of the reasons the Culdee Fell railway never appeared on the TV was because the engines having 2 faces might be weird to young audiences
The Breakdown Train, that truck from Haunted Henry, The Floorboards, classic.
Do your Top 10 Favourite Thomas Songs.
Your explanation about Henry inspired me to write a character in my story with a physical illness.

5. Donald and Douglas
6. Peter Sam
7. Skarloey

Well That's good of you ranking your top 10 favourite TTTE Characters, When I was a kid Gordon Used to be My favourite Thomas Character, but now My favourite character is absolutely henry!
0:56 The book is called Mountain Engines
I used to think Diesel 10’s claw was a brush😂
I can relate to Henry myself as I have lots of medical conditions myself. I have overcome a lot of the issues I have been through, especially after the doctors said I may never walk or talk, and 24 years on, I've defied all the odds. On the 9th of April I will have had 11 years without any surgery on my 3rd Shunt (Hydrocephalus). I still have minor pain from my shunt, but it doesn’t last long and is only a slight dull pain, so at the moment, I'm fortunate, that despite all the issues I've had, I've been able to enjoy life as much as I can.
Great top 10
