Definitely gonna get this. I've ridden this line a few times between Moor Street and Tyseley. Nice to see Video 125 returning to Birmingham. This is only the third DEV to come here to Brum. And it's great to see a DEV filmed aboard a proper train again. It'll be interesting to compare the run with Chiltern: Take Two, to see the changes to the Chiltern route now that it's back in favour.
You may have to put Chiltern Take Two onto RUclips like Metropolitan and District, Steam to Mallaig and Northern West End to see the line in 1987 before the signals were removed from Marylebone and replaced from the line. As a thought to think about!
It is great to see that Diesel hauled Trains are not dead in the UK.😄 Be great if we could see more trains like this around the country, maybe in Scotland with the HST's maybe?🤔😊😄
If people buy or download this and the original 'Chiltern Take Two' they can make a great comparison of how much the route have changed over the years.🚂🤔 I will when I get my 'Chiltern Main Line' DVD along with my 'Chiltern Take Two' DVD.😊😇
sbaker190189 sounds like that I do have some of the Video 125 titles he narrated like Weymouth to Bristol and Newport to Crewe plus Diesel and Electric on 35mm volume 3
Such a better way to go London-B'ham than the WCML. Much better scenery, only slightly slower, usually cheaper. Also Marylebone and Moor Street are far nicer stations than Euston and New Street.
Absolutely. A much nicer journey. If you have time, go on to Snow Hill and have a look at the lovely little cathedral in the park by the station, with stained glass windows by Burne-Jones.
I wonder if a revisitation of the TPE Manchester - Leeds route might be in order when they start running 68 + Mk5A stock? Or a revisitation of the Northern lights from a refurbished ScotRail HST once those are on the go? :)
Question On Notice Video 125, When Was Last Loco Haul Driver Eye View. The Just Look at Website it was 2007 in Ireland (Dubin to Cork DVD-) If there A later one Could Let me know. Love the Preview Can not Wait To Ride on Front Class Class 68 Diesel
I am not sure whether you had our latest Settle & Carlisle which DID start at Skipton. This was the second time we had filmed the route. Check out the trailer on our website. Just search for Settle & Carlisle.
@@video125com In fact I would rate this the best Mainline service in the UK. The trains are rarely late, usually always tidy and the staff are quite helpful. One of their (former) drivers even received an OBE for teaching kids safety on the railway.
Got my copy today, loved it, loved the 68s, oh that sound!! I watched Chilton Take Two yesterday, great contrast!!
@Matias Corey bollocks, fuck right off with your spam.

I ordered this one and it perfectly complement Chiltern Take Two and the Chiltern Bubbles.
Great video! I'll definitely be ordering it soon!

First time Richard Bath has narrated anything for a while

Yes, definitely up for a ScotRail HST. Glasgow to Perth would be perfect.

Could you make a update for settle -Carlisle but start from skipton

Can you do route Birmingham to Liverpool
Of course it’s 68010. Every time I watch anything to do with Chiltern’s 68’s, it’s always 68010.
Make the most of the loco hauled sets as this year (2022) is likely to be the last.
Why does the chiltern mainline exist when you have the west coast mainline?
xm3 Because not everyone lives near the West Coast Mainline
One of the arguments for privatisation was competition. In this case it actually works. Just look at the Chiltern line today when compared with BR.
Its cheaper than Virgin, but takes a bit longer.
I always use it when going to London.
