No he was placed in the general prison population alone among some unfriendly threatening men much younger than him. It's terrible what they've done to him isn't it. tr's been speaking out about this in recent interviews and getting emotional on the plight of the 'hard right' who are in jail right now and how scared they will be. He knows he's been there

    Two years and eight months!!! What sentences have the young men who viciously attacked and hospitalised a female police officer and other officers at Manchester Airport?       That's exactly what they did. The government, judges, solicitors, and barristers are all in on it. They all played their part to get these locked up. The solicitors told them to plead guilty and say no comment to everything, and the barristers did nothing to defend them.

    He was on the same wing as his son and then got split up. Let that sink in.... The only person in the whole place he could trust was taken away from him. He got bullied in prison, and the bullies took away everything he had and his contact details so he could contact friends and family to tell them what was going on.

    Peter Lynch never touched anyone. Anyone who causes NO bodily harm and neither takes anything that was not his, should never go to jail. Starmer boy and this Richardson fellow are responsable for this sentence and its consequences. My sincere condolencies and sympathy to his family who should now sue the court.

    You hit the nail on the head there - he was advised to plead guilty to get more lenient sentence!!! What happens if he plead 'not guilty'... 8 or 10 months on remand??? Then a court case and the same sentence?? That would make anyone go ahead and plead guilty.

    There was such a rush to push the 'far right' through the so-called justice system that it makes you wonder about the quality of the legal advice the defendents receive. Further to this, you have two-tier Kier demanding tougher sentences, which, as Prime Minister, is not his job to interfere with the legal process, and as former head of the CPS, he should know that.
