  • Tom Brady, legendary NFL quarterback, joins Colin Cowherd just days after announcing his retirement to talk the future of his career. Brady tells Colin a little about his mindset on the day he filmed his retirement announcement, and whether there's even the slightest chance he may return to the NFL. He also looks back on some of his greatest achievements, and tells what fueled him to perform at the high level he has for so long. Plus, Brady is looking forward to switching gears, off the field and behind a Fox Sports desk, as he shares his excitement with Colin to be moving into an analyst role in the Fall of 2024.

      He will most likely be back, why do I say that we'll 1 there is a team in Cali that all they need is a qb to manage the game... If San Francisco don't resign Jimmy g. Then it's a sure bet Brady will be there! That is.the most complete team and Brady don't have to be great to win with that team just needs to be a game.manager, and he has someone that can carry a lot of the weight with Christian McCaffery. Just don't see him retiring with a loss in the 1st round of the playoffs... He shouldn't be throwing the ball 50× a game like Tampa was doing... Just it be one thing if he was a complete bum and the team didn't make the playoffs.. we will know the real answer soon enough.... it won't be in a month like he did last year, probably around late April early March, when Sf needs to decide on Jimmy and if he becomes a free agent I would almost guarantee Brady joins sf! He might join raiders also but less likely, he wanted to go there before joining the bucs and he still is just good enough to get that sf team back to the super bowl!

    I’m 80 years old and been a sports nut all my life. I’ve never admired an athlete as much as I’ve admired and rooted for Tom Brady. I am from Michigan and a combination of Brady having played there plus lousy lions teams made me a Brady/Patriots fan. It isn’t just his athletic ability or accomplishments. He’s such a such a class act on and off the field. I really hated to see him go through a divorce. I know it was a tremendous disappointment to him and his family, but he handled that in privacy and suffered in silence. Wish you nothing but the best TB12 , Good luck and God bless. Thanks for the memories.

So it was NE and from that day till the next SB win passed 10 years until I watched them win in 49 vs SEA. From there an on, all joy even in his Tampa journey. I'll forever be a Pats fan but if I enjoy football as I do today is because of that man right there who Idk if is aware that he's touched so many lives.

    The thing about Tommy is that he never says anything passive aggressive to sleight anyone in his interviews. He doesn't use these interviews to make any subtle points to throw teammates under the bus or to make excuses about why the year did not go well like some narcissists on the Pat McAfee Show or First Things First might. He is just pure class. 100% accountability, responsibility, team player, and selflessness. He lets others do the unnecessary fighting for him, but he just does not care. I was just watching back the entire Super Bowl 51 game yesterday and laughing out loud to myself that people are actually saying Mahomes compares favorably to Tommy. I mean the amount of insurmountable clutch moments he has had in his life, basically an entire regular season's worth. 14 game-winning post-season drives, the next closest being John Elway with 6, and 9 postseason 4th quarter comebacks, with the next closest being Joe Montana with 5. Speaking of which, when we compare contemporary players to historical players, we need to start putting some respect on these other greats like Joe Montana, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Troy Aikman, and Dan Marino before skipping them and getting straight to Tom Brady. It's ridiculously disrespectful to the history of the game. Oh well, I guess that's why Tommy doesn't get into the debating and is secure in himself. He doesn't do it for praise. He even roots for guys like Mahomes because he is secure in his legacy, accomplishments, and the type of person and man that he is. Unbelievable player, but even greater human being. It was very helpful for him to read about the Four Agreements and to learn to live by those tenets:
    1) Be Impeccable With Your Word
    2) Don't Take Things Personally
    3) Always Do Your Best
    4) Don't Make Assumptions
    Tough to do, and no one can live by them 100% of the time, but great to strive towards to treat one another well.

      SMH uh oh whenever u hear someone who doesn't know Tom Brady on any level refers to him as "Tommy" u know what's coming next. There is nothing narcissistic about first thing first and the whole Brady Mahomes comparison is not a knock on the Brady the GOAT. It says more about just how unimaginably high Tom as set the bar. It's funny you say U respect Tom for not throwing teammates under the bus; he is pure class. Then u proceed to through other programs and players under the bus. Give this man his flowers because he's the greatest to ever do it without the shade.

      mahomes is the best guy to come in the league since brady and talk shows need topics to drive clicks so naturally those comparisons are going to happen. it might end up like a bill russel/ jordan thing. or jordan / lebron thing. no one might get to 7 rings besides tom but the stats and the eye test for patrick mahomes , its off the chart.

    • @britneyystaples91
      @britneyystaples91 Год назад +1

      @beatsNstrings You cant compare stats because the modern era is totally different than Bradys first 10 years and Brady had a 50 td season under old school NFL rules. The new era is super pass friendly and favors the offense. But what is interesting is that a way past his prime Brady in his age 43 and age 44 seasons "2020 and 2021" had a better 2 year stretch statistically than Mahomes did in that same 2 year stretch despite Mahomes being in his prime. Brady in 2020 was top 2 in yards and tds throwing for 40 passing tds and 4650 yards than in 2021 Brady was 1st in yards and 1st in tds throwing for 43 passing tds and 5309 yards and being voted the best player of the 2021 season on the NFLs top 100 list by the players. If Brady at 43 than at 44 had a better 2 years stretch than Mahomes did in his prime just imagine what Brady would do in this new pass friendly era if he was in his 30s..He would have 6500 yard 65 td seasons lol. Like I said Brady had a 50 passing td season and 5k yard seasons under old school NFL rules. In 2009 they changed the rules just a little bit to protect the QBs knees. But in 2017 everything changed, they made hitting WRs down the middle almost completely illegal and you cant breath on QBs anymore. Also Wrs can now freely run routes up the middle without worrying about being knocked out. The middle of the field wasnt that open 10 years ago. Just watch a game from the mid to late 2000s. I did the other day and its crazy watching the safetys tackle the WRs, in the game i watched the WR would catch the ball than the dback would Instantly fly out of no where and knock the WR back 10 yards. It looked like the safetys were getting shot out of a cannon lol. The dbacks played so fast and physical back then. yards after the catch was almost impossibe. They just closed in so fast and physical and the hits were so hard. Also Brady in his 40s alone has more SB wins than Mahomes does in his whole career. Brady also averages over 300 yards a superbowl and has 23 passing tds only 6 interceptions in the Superbowls hes played in while Mahomes in the 2 SBs hes played in has only 2 tds to 4 interceptions and in his 1 SB victory set the record for the lowest QB rating in SB history for the QB on the SB winning team than the following superbowl he set the record for the lowest QB rating in SB history for the QB on the SB losing team. Mean while Brady had the 28-3 to 3 comeback win throwing for 468 yards, 2 tds and 2 2 point conversions vs the Falcons in the SB, and vs Seattles number 1 defense in the SB Brady had 4 touchdowns passes and 328 yards, vs the Panthers in the SB Brady had 3 passing tds and 358 yards, vs the Chiefs 3 passing tds in the 1st half, vs Philly had 505 yard. Brady has always been big with stats even when stats were hard to come by. Brady saw the league turned soft so decided he could play into his mid 40s and still be the best statistical QB lol. I have no respect for statistics in the new NFL when it comes to comparing to the greats. Scramble style QBs couldnt even succeed in the NFL until they made the NFL super soft lol.
