I just picked up my first can, a B&T Rotex-X with the A2 mount. I was concerned that it was not going to have decent lockup on a birdcage but I was pleasantly surprised. It locks up great and can take some serious abuse. Great product for a great price.
Make sure you give it that slight twist. If it clicks it's good. If it doesn't click its good. But if you don't do the little twist and it was going to click, you're gonna have a bad time. (They'll fix it, but nobody wants that). The SQD is one of my favorite sub gun suppressors. Reduces sound significantly, and zero gas buildup. Which is very important on a PCC. PCC's BEG to be run fast.
I’m in the minority but my experience with B&T has been terrible. I waited on the Rotex only to find out the SF hub would not work on multiple SF devices. Was told by my LGS I’d have to send it back to B&T. I sent it back and was told it would be priority. 2 weeks later and I can’t even get a straight answer if it has been looked at. No timeframe on when it may be done. You can’t speak to anyone in service. Now I’ll be the first time say that I’m a poor….$1000 is a hell of a lot of money to me. So for it to just be sitting God knows where for God knows how long is frustrating to say the least.
I got a 556K Ti with the surefire pattern locking collar and its 7.8 ounces lol. Not a reduced pressure can but it handles the same as having a surefire Warden on an AR. Solid deal tbh. I wanna say if you get a direct thread hub for one of them its like 4 ounces total weight, which is ridiculously nice to be able to risk a lot less hearing damage in an emergency and still retain the flash/visual signature reduction of a suppressor regardless.
So if you "use the hub", you can "crank this puppy off"? Interesting. My understanding is that in Europe B&T is seen as pretty "meh", but they also sell rather cheap as a lot of European countries allow unrestricted suppressor sales (and without stupid laws, no tube of metal is worth $2000....). This is another reason they have 600+ SKU's. I'd imagine they're being semi-selective in what they're bringing to the U.S. though.
Yeah. The American market is artificially suppressed (pun intended) by them being treated as “firearms.” Even more so as NFA firearms. If they where treated as what they are (muzzle devices) the market would become full of affordable products.
@@VbdRetailthey also have literally no competition for those contracts, because there are no other competitors in europe There are suppressor "companies" that make what the US considers bottom of the barrel solvent trap silencers at inexpensive prices for use on bolt actions or with the 5 rd limited capacity that applies to most gunowners in europe, but none (and I mean NONE) of those compete for military contracts. There is a massive import tariff applied to US manuf silencers per EU mandate (an RC2 556 goes for as much as 3000 euro), so there is a huge cost obstacle before even considering performance.
