    Did you read what St Nektary of Optina wrote there?!
    DO NOT GO THERE!!!
    The Church and Body of Christ is NOT THERE! Why won’t these new calendar believers get that?!… (they think they’re gonna “fight from within”! Give me a break!)

    Absolutely true.
    But, will the questioner, here, "Father" Peter Heers, successfully complete a journey his father started, but didn't complete, as far as we are aware, even as he died, into the only true church, the True Orthodox Christian Church, outside of which there's no salvation?
    His father made a journey from heretical and therefore non-salvific Episcopalian Anglicanism into the still heretical and non-salvific false ecumenist pseudo-Orthodoxy of the "World Orthodoxy" of the member churches of the "World Council of Churches" (WCC) with its requirement that all "member churches" recognise all other "member churches" as equal parts (aka branches) of the "Church" although they disagree with each other on many theological issues, thus embracing the branch theory of the church which falls under the 1983 Anathema Against Ecumenism.
    Peter Heers has still not left false, pseudo-Orthodox World Orthodoxy for the True Orthodox Church. Let's hope he completes it before his death, and thus has a possibility of eternal salvation. And, let's hope he is then granted that salvation.

      @adrianwhyatt594 and he tells is the branch theory is heresy. Just because he came from anglicanism he's one? What about ones journey to the truth? I came from atheism and many backgrounds. And now I know the truth is a person. And I don't believe all the bishops fell.

    The funny thing is they know everything but refuse to get out of world orthodoxy because of some misplaced trust in the one true church, when theirs isn't even that. Idk man, i just hope they'll be changed from within to true orthodoxy.

      Well thats because The Church has always been filled with heretics and ecumenists, and has always suffered persecution, and has always survived. This modern idea of "jumping ship" anytime there is a heretic clergymen, and that somehow every clergymen who does something wrong loses all grace, and in effect all clergymen in communion with them also lose grace, and also all elders and monks under those clergymen also lose grace and cannot be Saints, this is just absolute nonsense. You deny the Grace and work of God, simply because some clergymen have made mistakes. It is foolishness.

      @@haydeen6535 some clergymen? The entire church! The head of the church! You be in that place where there are heretics (ecumenist) you acknowledge what they do. It's alright to some point. So like the world orthodoxy approves and includes freemasonry and gay and deny the saints, you really think you wanna be part of it? Or flee from that church? Remember, there are various instances within the church history where there were only few away from the so called true church, and they retained the teachings of orthodoxy. Even the goc was recognised by rocor and other churches.

      @@haydeen6535 well how do you explain the sign of the cross above Athens when the old calendarists were persecuted? See, what your saying makes completely sense from my pov. Your church has lost the grace. It's fallen into ecumenism. You still wanna follow the graceless church, fine. But just know that is not the true church. The lord never allows these things to happen to his one true church. Read more history man, I too was like you. As time went by, I realised what everything was. May God bless you and guide you.

      @@haydeen6535 It's not about "jumping ship". The problem is when your bishops are heretics consistently for over 100 years and publicly state their plan to join Rome (1920 Ecumenical Patriarchate statement). It's not "Oh a heretic appeared so the whole church automatically falls apart". With your logic, those in the west should all be Roman Catholic? Because after all it's "just" heresy right? We should not schism right? So why did the Orthodox schism from Rome over heresy? Oh wait, world Orthodoxy does commune Roman Catholics so maybe they are the right group, right?

    • @haydeen6535
      @haydeen6535 6 дней назад

      @@Death2Compromise Its dishonest to group all of Orthodoxy together as communing with Catholics, when the vast majority would not even think about it. And you fail to realize that the schism between Constantinople and Rome did not cause the rest of The Church to schism with Rome, that took centuries, after Rome kept innovating and was failing to repent. The original schism is not too different from the schism between Moscow and Constantinople today, which is not necessarily an official "schism" which seperates the two Churches. But it could definitely become that. And I would note that Rome pushing Papism and CHANGING A CREED, was a far different issue, than modern day clergymen who arent doing anything which is very expressly heretical (Bartholomew is an exception with his neo-Papalism), instead they silently try to push ecumenism. Its completely possible that there could be a real schism between Moscow and Constantinople, the same which happened in the past with Rome, and in this case all of Orthodoxy will remain with Moscow, as Constantinople and anyone who follow them will become schismatics. And again, it is okay to criticize ecumenism within The Church and fight against it, this is what all The Saints have done. But to leave The Church over things like this is simply not Patristic. It is not what St. Mark of Ephesus did.

    It’s still crazy how much people care about religion. If you were born in southern Bible Belt America, you would be Protestant, if you were born in the Middle East, you would be Muslim, if you were born in Asia, you would be Buddhist, Confucianism, or even Shinto. I personally love Ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian pantheons. Like religion is completely determined by your culture, your heritage, but that doesn’t mean yours is “the only right one”, if that’s the case, then why are others born elsewhere having the exact same thought about you. Humans mistake the valuable metaphors that come out of stories and take them as literal. I mean we call Ancient Greece mythology because no Christian would ever believe the stories of Zeus being real, but then they turn around and think that humans came from 2 humanoids instead of thousands of years of evolution. Like it’s observable science. But I’m not saying to not be religious cuz I am myself. I just call myself spiritual and am apart of the new age wave of crystals and shit. But we have to stop with this whole doubting science bs that religion has done for centuries. I believe the spirit world exists and I also believe in quantum mechanics. But modern religion is so determined to stay ignorant and remain in the dark ages with a lot of it being anti science. Not all religion has been like this and at differing times of course like when the Middle East was the intellectual powerhouse of the world back in the day while still being religious. That’s the type of religious acceptance we need to bring back
