Thank you Lord.❤ Thank you Fr Dave for this meaningful homily on Feast of Most Holy Name of Jesus.❤️ The name of Jesus is holy because He is coming to us, has come to us that someday we might become holy. As in the reading, “when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is”, whatever the holiness is seen in us is always a reflection of God’s own holiness because He is the only one and only source of all that is true and good. As St Paul says, “ All things works good for those who live the Lord”, it means by being good is not something you wait, something you become. How? Out of love for God. St Ignatius of Loyola says, to avoid sins, you do the 2 things-to avoid occasion that will lead to sins and you increase your love for God. The gospel passage is St John the Baptist wanted to reveal Christ to people through knowledge base on love. Not knowing faces about someone but really knowing Him. When we know other fact about what is important in life, how they relate to people and we know them from the inside. We are reminded by loving God, love God by avoiding sins. If you love God more than anything else then you will despise anything that will hurt God. We are doing this not because we are good but because God is good. Amen 🙏
Lord Jesus Christ, fill us with the power of your Holy Spirit that we may grow in the knowledge of your great love and truth. Let your Spirit be aflame in our hearts that we may joyfully seek to do your will in all things. Amen.

I was too busy when I was raising 3:kids on my own and working to give my children a decent life. I never felt so close to the Lord more than ever after I retired and a year after lost my husband. Heavenly Father, direct me in my career, and finances. I have two children with special needs. Life is overwhelming for me, because I am a single parent and I’m constantly faced with financial difficulties. Lord I struggle to provide the basic necessities for my sons. Like clothing, I struggle with groceries and my rent each month I pray for your divine intervention in my life, please provide for my children’s needs and guide me towards financial stability.💕
