Hey everyone just a quick update! Since this video's release there has been a small change to the Lased Design's 7in Adapters. Basically, the little studs that connect to the main part of the adapter have received a V2 update. Instead of putting your little studs directly on the ball heads of the factory headlight assembly, you now reuse those little specialized clips that are the OEM headlights and screw them onto the studs. If you have recently ordered a set of adapters, you will notice that the studs on the kit have small holes instead of large holes. Please do not try and bore a much larger hole like you see me doing in the video. If you have the V1 version, you can upgrade to the V2 version, but it honestly doesn't make that much of a difference. If you are not quite sure what I am talking about check out this photo of what the new V2 studs look like: laseddesigns.com/collections/frontpage/products/v2-mounts-for-7-round-headlight-adapters
Thanks for the advice. Would you please make a 4" fog lights adapters video, cause I've ordered them and don't have any idea how to install them. Appreciate your efforts.
This channel is seriously underated!! The amount of effort and time you put in to make these videos is staggering. Keep up the great work man! 👍 I'd love to see a video of how to wire up comms and antennas if you ever have the time lol
Haha thats just one of many ideas that I have! The biggest problem I have right now is that it takes a while to get these videos to this level of quality and I only really can do these in my free time. I really want to try to make these videos as understandable as possible for experienced and newcomers to understand.
Don't apologize on your video lenght. Some people have long videos because they just like to talk. Every time you speak you are relaying useful information. Terrific job.
I have been contemplating this upgrade for my H3 for months. I looked for kits but found none. Not only did you create a highly detailed video, but saved me a lot of heartache with trying to "wing it" using my own badly fabricated parts. Thank you for the how-to! I'll be ordering these. Great Job!!!
Oh yes! I have looked into some other DIY custom retrofits that people have done in the past and they are just too complicated and there is a lot that can go wrong. Also many of these other methods involve sacrificing the OEM headlights to fit the new lights into. I really don't like that because if the project doesn't turn out good, you need to rebuy new oem headlights. In contrast, these new adapters allow you to keep your old OEM head light housing if you ever need it. Also I have seen some people do some janky wiring to try to get these lights to work instead of using the proper harness.
@@4lowmode exactly. I'm not for using zip ties on headlights. Your way is definitely the best method for the upgrade. I found the ThingVerse 3d printer schematic for adapter free to download. We have a local here that will print a prototype for me for $20, so I'll let you know how that goes.
@@LibertyHand Oh yes I know the ones that you are talking about. That was done by a forum user on Hummer H4O. There is not a whole lot of information out there about them. Apparently the guy that designed them did get them to work, however all the photos he posted on them are no longer available which is annoying. Also he later abandoned that idea and instead opted to fit 5in headlights in the stock headlight housing. Those 7in adapters do seem like they work, but are 3 negatives that I see. One is that the studs are not removable or replaceable. So if you break one, you need to replace the whole adapter. Second is that they do not use a retaining ring to hold them down and instead, they use 2 screws on either side to pinch the headlight in. Less of a secure fit in my opinion. Third is that these adapters were never tested to see if they could fit multiple sized headlights. Not trying to scare you off from trying it, but that is just the limitations that I have seen myself from looking at it. Here is the link to the original thread about the subject: www.hummer4x4offroad.com/forum/showthread.php/13403-3d-print-files-for-7inch-led-headlight-adapters
Right on. I was thinking the same things. The one you used is a much more advanced designed, and those replaceable studs make a lot of difference. I'll add that often 3d prints need to be readjusted often after printing the first one. I didn't realize it wasn't designed to use the retaining ring. Thanks for pointing that out. After looking closer and with your input, I'm going to run with the same setup you used. It is less troublesome and more reliable of a design. Thanks, Bud!

That's something that I would think about doing in the future. I do think that I need more subs and viewers for that to be realistic. From what I have seen only a very small percentage of viewers will donate to a channel, which is totally fine. I don't expect anyone watching to obligated to donate. Also I really do gotta get better with how much I upload. I currently have tons of different ideas that I would like to cover, but finding the time can be difficult at times. Down the road, I would really love to turn this into a part time or even full time job where I could actually have a dedicated amount of time each week to cover something new. Thanks for the kind words!
@@4lowmode My theory, based on my personal behaviour, is that the percentage of viewers who support creators on patreon decreases as that creator gains followers because viewers will think there's enough support for that creator. And yeah I can completely see how hard it is to find the time to make these kind of videos. How many hours did you spend on this video? I notice and appreciate how you set up your camera for a birdseye view at 21:18 , how you added footage of different angles while you installed the part at 38:16, how every clip is cut and edited efficiently so that you're always talking and giving useful information in every second of the video, and how you made this video super easy to navigate and even gave us two methods to choose from! I can see you definitely making this a full time job because you got the skills for it. Not only are you good with cars but you're also a movie maker. You respected my time as a viewer and provided me with great content. That's why I want to support this channel specifically (I've been on YT since 2008 and never signed up for patreon). JUST TAKE MY MONEY MAN
You are AMAZING! Thank you for this wonderful informative video! The longer the better since you cover literally every aspect in every video you do! Keep it up! :)
Bro,,, love your videos and thanks for the Hummer tips but duuuude please relax the switch hands while your talking lol 😂 your doing a great job 👍🏻 keep it up man
Love the videos. Since I now know how to remove the grille guard, d rings, bumper and skid plate, I'm going to upgrade to halo head and fogs. Wish you could should a fog light replacement video (or just add to existing ones). Gonna change out the horn, turn signals and side markers while I'm at it. Can't wait for your next upload.
Yep they are pretty new! Much better option rather than trying to modify your stock OEM Headlights and fit a pair of 7in Headlights in them. I have seen that done before, but it looks like a pain and requires way too much work. These adapters allow you just to pop them right on!
@@4lowmode I've seen some of those installs on here.I can't believe what some will do,just to make them fit.I'm also concerned about what brand to buy,and the lifespan of them
@@MrCrf450rider In terms of brands, there is a huge price disparity between the cheaper lights that you can get on Amazon and the brand-name ones. As I mentioned in the video, the cheaper ones don’t really have an actual brand. What sellers will do is order them from Ali-Baba, stick a company name on them for branding purposes, but they really don't have an actual company behind them. These cheaper lights are still pretty good for the price, but I imagine in 5 to 10 years that the lenses may start to get hazy, but it is still cheaper to replace them again, then buying a brand name one. The brand name headlights will definitely hold up over time better and possibly come with a warranty, but the prices for these headlights usually start at around $400-$1000. One of the more common brand name ones you see are the JW Speaker Model 8700 J2 Black Headlights which are on Amazon right now from $449. This model was an original design that many of these cheap no-name brands copied the design from.
just got my Hummer H3 found this channel looking for some information, great videos on how to install and update your hummer, just a question hope you can make a video on HUMMER H3 VEHICLE/TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSORS just not able to figure out how to replace the trans input speed sensor.
Not exactly sure, but I know they are only temporarily out of stock. Lased Designs will stop taking new orders if they start getting more orders than they can handle. It should be only a few weeks at most.
Thanks for the great video! I had no idea someone made adapters. It would be nice if the adapters filled the part of the empty headlight cavity between the grille and around the headlight itself to prevent bugs, mud, etc, from building up. I plan on replacing my headlights in the future.
Haha yeah! The same people that made the adapter are working to make a cover. No word on price point yet, but there is a working prototype as of right now!

The round headlamp that was installed is a 70watt and the other round headlamp that wasn't installed is 300watt. Would the wattage affect the relays being blown out? What would you recommend
This is awesome I have 2006 h3 and want to do this. On ebay how do I tell which parts actually come with the unit and which need to be purchased? They show pics but listings are mostly confusing. I have some videos on my other account on radiator replacement. Shocks and some other things
hey brother I really liked the video it helped me a lot but I have a question. Where can I get the support rings and the plastic tubes? Because the rings I have do not fit the h3 truck, if you can tell me where I can get them, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you so much.
Is the option 2 the same as buying a canbus adapter for h4? Or is it a special polarity converter? Thanks excellent video so much detail there is no chance for error
You have something called hyperflash. Hyperflashing is when the turn signals blink faster than your stock incandescent bulbs did. This happens because sometimes your new LED bulbs draw such little power that your turn signal relay sees the bulbs as being out. In order to fix this, you need to add a load resistor. What this does is use more power when you use your new LEDs so your lights don't hyperflash.
I really want to upgrade my headlights, but I couldn't find a suitable 7" Round Headlight Retrofit Adapters v2 and 7" Headlight Bezel. I am confused. Is there anything else I can replace?
Thank you so much for your videos on the Hummer H3! If it wasn't for you, I would have been fumbling through removing my brush guard and grille. Could you do a video on the wiper fluid pump?
@@4lowmode Thanks for the reply. I finally made the upgrade with some Morimoto sealed7 headlights and foglights. They look great! And so much better visibility. I was not able to get the DRLs to work for some reason. The turn signal function is working however. Also, it seems like this would allow much more rain to get in through the headlight area vs stock. Have you had any issues with water in behind mainly the driver side, as the fuse box is right there, along with all of the headlight connections and relays. Thanks again. Would not have been able to do this without your videos!
How long did it take for your adapters for headlights to come in? I ordered a set of adapters for headlights and fog lights back on December 2 and still have not received anything, product or confirmation of any kind ?
Once again great video I’m actually going to do this conversion. I’m thinking for the ground to use the fender support bracket that sits below the light housing. I seen another video some mounting a different type turn signal I’m doing that as well . Again thanks
Hello 👋 Is it possible to put a h3 5 cylinders 09-10 front differential to a H3t alpha ? I have a hummer H3T alpha 2010 and my front differential doesn’t work any more, what can I do to fix my problem? I tried on looking for all the parts of the differential and fix it but I couldn’t find all of them , and I was looking to put a front differential from a H3 5 cylinders but i don’t know if that’s possible, what can I do in my case?
Yes they do. I made another video on my channel talking about larger projector style 7in headlights. In my video, are used KC Gravity Pro 7" headlights but the Morimoto 2.0s share a similar concept. For my KCs, I did have to do a little bit of trimming on the back of the OEM headlight assembly. For the Morimotos I think they need to even less trimming. So far I have seen 2 H3 owners install those 2.0s successfully.
Are you talking about the ones with a smaller lens on the top and a bigger lens on the bottom? If you are, the low beam is the lens on the top and the high beam is the lens on the bottom. When you turn on high beam, the low beam lens remains on.
WOW thank you so much your video really helped. The other four vehicles I have don't have to be dissembled to change a light bulb. My right turn signal and marker light went out. The engineers that designed this POS were really stupid and went out of their way to create spaces for rodents to live in. First they put a depression under that battery that is a perfect house for mice and rats. A ground squirrel died in the air cleaner after building a giant nest because of the easy access between the inner and outer fenders. Following your instructions to remove the grill I found out that between the plastic inner fender and plastic outer fender is a great space for rodents to live. That is why the squirrel decided on the air cleaner, there were too many other rodents in the other spaces. They chewed the wires to the side marker light and turn signal and other wires. I couldn't have created a better home for pack rats if I tried. Keeping the hood open did not help because the inner and outer fender space is a self contained habitat for rodents. Now it is apparent that they used that to get to the windshield wiper deck which we discovered was stuffed with mesquite beans when the windshield was replaced. I really appreciate your videos but I am selling this POS because I can't keep the critters out no matter what I do.
Glad you found use out of the tutorial! To be honest, in all my years of ownership of the H3 and reading forum threads about H3s, I haven't really heard that many problems about rodents burrowing into the H3. It could just be that you get a lot more rodents out where you live. To change out the marker and turn signal bulbs, you don't really need to take the grille out and remove the headlight assembly. You can actually access both of those bulbs by dropping the wheel wells to get access to them. The wheel wells are held in by a total of 10 plastic push clips. You can actually get away with taking about 6 or 7 of them out and then just bending the wheel well down so you don't have to take the entire thing out and then you can gain access to the bulbs.
Nice job, dear and full explanation .. I have a question .. regarding installing 7 inch of my Hummer H2 car .. the same or different steps. If possible, make a video for that
Love all your videos Man veryinformative recently got a 2008 video that had number for fan speed not work and realized that it had a recall on the little wiring harness behind the glove box on the passenger side and the dealer only replaced half of it the female side of the plug was still burnt you might do a video on that to let everyone know that both sides of that plugneed to be replaced it is in the parts directions at your mine was only half replaced. the pigtail
The female pigtail is available at your and must be spliced into the wiring harness on the female especially if your plug is burnt. The recall says could catch on fire apparently my plug had caught on fire and they only replaced the male side of the white plug on harness

wow very good video, hit all the check marks. Probably the best automotive lighting video I've ever seen. keep up the good work!
Im so glad i stumbled upon this video its my first time on this channel great channel. You just warned another subscriber keep up the good work. I will be upgrading my h3 hummer headlights
Thanks for making this. Just ordered the adapters.
Fantastic tutorial. Shot extremely well.
Great info! Going out of state to pick up my h3 tomoro. Cannot wait! Your videos are amazingly informative! Thanks!
Thank you so much bro, really informative for me. Just got an H3 my self and ordering buncha stuffs ready to mod them including these head lights...thx again!
Bro you have helped me soo much with tons of mods on my H3 and I just wanted to say thank you and you are very appreciated
Thank you!
Why not make a patreon? I honestly think you deserve it with the amount of effort you put in the details and explanations.
JUST TAKE MY MONEY MAN
@@4lowmode btw a great short clip you can make is your opinion on the new Hummer EV video!
Thank you very much! Great video 12/10 easily you explained everything well & showed amazing pictures n drone shots too! Thank you sir
You are AMAZING! Thank you for this wonderful informative video! The longer the better since you cover literally every aspect in every video you do! Keep it up! :)
good info man, I know the video is older but I'm wanting to get into a H3T
Bro,,, love your videos and thanks for the Hummer tips but duuuude please relax the switch hands while your talking lol 😂 your doing a great job 👍🏻 keep it up man
I’m super excited to see your next video!
Coming soon!
Hummer H3's are great. They are notorious for "Reduced Power" error which are hard to diagnose and fix. Any advise on how to fix this error?
Great explanation of the install.I planned on buying these for my H3,but didn't know about those adapter rings
You absolutely made a cool and useful video, excellent job!!!
Cool video, Do you know where else you can get a bracket? Lased does not appear to be selling them or anything else any more.
just got my Hummer H3 found this channel looking for some information, great videos on how to install and update your hummer, just a question hope you can make a video on HUMMER H3 VEHICLE/TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSORS just not able to figure out how to replace the trans input speed sensor.
The 7” Round Headlight Adapter is currently out stock, any idea when is coming back? Or where else I can buy it?
Thank you for making this video!!
Followed your steps and everything installed perfectly. Went with the single harness recommended by Lased Designs.
That's awesome! I actually installed them yesterday on my 2008 Alpha using the Relay Harness! Went pretty smooth!
@@4lowmode Installed the fog light kit at the same time using the Lased Designs fog light brackets. Also went smoothly. Had to reverse the fog light connectors for them to work correctly. I also have a 2008 Alpha, Birch White.
@@NavyChiefEWC Nice! Yes I am making a video on how to do that but I still got some editing and film a few more things before its done.
what would you suggest if Lased Design is out of stock on the brackets?
Hell yea I was wondering when I was going to see some new content thanks bro I'm definitely going to be installing these headlights!
That's awesome! I love my new headlights. I didn't know how awful the stock ones were until I mounted these ones up!
I really appreciate all of your videos. I've searched RUclips for a video on the removal of the rear interior panels and there aren't any. Maybe you could make one.
Hi, great tutorial, I’ve found all the parts but the adapters are not available, any other place to get them?
Thanks
This is ChrisFix level quality of instructions. Thank you for providing such an easy follow along video for a vehicle that's kinda lost it's popularity. Hope to see more soon!
How are the wiring harness opt. 2 holding up for you. I'm installing it now
Hi, i have a problem trying to get in my 2006 h3. The battery died & my doors are locked. The key hole to open wont turn. I tryed charging the battery still will not respond to key remote. Any suggestions besides asking the police or lock smith to slim jim the car??.
The round headlamp that was installed is a 70watt and the other round headlamp that wasn't installed is 300watt. Would the wattage affect the relays being blown out? What would you recommend
Great job. Very detailed. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Thanks for watching!
This is awesome I have 2006 h3 and want to do this. On ebay how do I tell which parts actually come with the unit and which need to be purchased? They show pics but listings are mostly confusing. I have some videos on my other account on radiator replacement. Shocks and some other things
Have you used or heard of any other adapters to install the headlights and fog lights on the Hummer H3 other than Lased Design?
Can you give me the link where you buy the adapters, please, I looked for them but I couldn't find them.
Hi I like your video it’s very detailed...... great job
Thanks!
hey brother I really liked the video it helped me a lot but I have a question. Where can I get the support rings and the plastic tubes? Because the rings I have do not fit the h3 truck, if you can tell me where I can get them, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you so much.
Are you talking about the headlight adapters? You can get them from laseddesigns.com. What are the tubes you mentioned?
@@4lowmode yes I talking about that
@@4lowmode is little tube for the ring
@@cutbertosuarezdelacruz7132 The studs? Just a quick note that those studs have been changed. Watch my 7in Headlight update video to learn more.
Any recommendation for fog light upgrade?
Is the option 2 the same as buying a canbus adapter for h4? Or is it a special polarity converter? Thanks excellent video so much detail there is no chance for error
Great video but I have a question. I replace the blinkers with led but they are blinking rapidly
@@4lowmode much appreciated
I really want to upgrade my headlights, but I couldn't find a suitable 7" Round Headlight Retrofit Adapters v2 and 7" Headlight Bezel. I am confused. Is there anything else I can replace?
Thank you so much for your videos on the Hummer H3! If it wasn't for you, I would have been fumbling through removing my brush guard and grille. Could you do a video on the wiper fluid pump?
Will the kc gravity pro 7 with drl work on my 2008 h3 ,and do i still need the polarity boxes for them? thanks
My 2006 H3 grill has the “angry eye” look to it , which LED headlight do you recommend?
I like how you properly used the word, "Artifact"... I bet most people do not know the definition as you properly used it.
Do you know if the H3 requires 7 inch led headlights with anti-flicker? Would they work without this feature/adapter?
No anti-flicker is needed! The headlights don't flicker at all, even in slow motion on camera
My headlight kit came with fog lights too. Is there an advantage to use one of the mentioned harnesses versus the other one?
I cover this topic in my newer 7in headlight update video: ruclips.net/video/Rw2S94b4eEY/видео.html Start at: 10:32
Once again great video I’m actually going to do this conversion. I’m thinking for the ground to use the fender support bracket that sits below the light housing. I seen another video some mounting a different type turn signal I’m doing that as well . Again thanks
Thanks for watching! Yes there are definitely multiple options for attaching a ground wire too.
im interested in buying the relay harness and bracket adapters where can i get those?
Hello sir I really like all you do but put the 7 inch light but my high bean don't work what can I do with that problem please I need help
Hello 👋
Is it possible to put a h3 5 cylinders 09-10 front differential to a H3t alpha ?
I have a hummer H3T alpha 2010 and my front differential doesn’t work any more, what can I do to fix my problem? I tried on looking for all the parts of the differential and fix it but I couldn’t find all of them , and I was looking to put a front differential from a H3 5 cylinders but i don’t know if that’s possible, what can I do in my case?
@4 Low Mode - Loving your H3 content. Do you know if these adapters will work for larger projector style headlamps, like the Morimoto Super 7 2.0?
Yes they do. I made another video on my channel talking about larger projector style 7in headlights. In my video, are used KC Gravity Pro 7" headlights but the Morimoto 2.0s share a similar concept. For my KCs, I did have to do a little bit of trimming on the back of the OEM headlight assembly. For the Morimotos I think they need to even less trimming. So far I have seen 2 H3 owners install those 2.0s successfully.
How do you get rid of the static in the radio after hooking up the led lights?
So with the egg style ones......that's what I baught.....does the bigger high beam go on the bottom or the top?
Are you talking about the ones with a smaller lens on the top and a bigger lens on the bottom? If you are, the low beam is the lens on the top and the high beam is the lens on the bottom. When you turn on high beam, the low beam lens remains on.
Great videos, keep them coming. What size tires are on the black h3 you installed the lights on? Thanks
On this H3 I have BF Goodrich KO2 All Terrain Tires. The size is 285/75R/16 which is stock size tire the H3 comes with.
one of the top channels that i subscribed on, very useful for any hummer h3 owner, well done. any plan for new videos?
Thanks! Yes I do plan on making more. I already have some videos filmed, but I still need to finish editing them.
If possible, make a video for that
The H2 does not need any adapters or harnesses. They are plug and play.
@@billiebowling7755 Yes I am aware of that problem! I had that happen on my 2006 H3. I got it recalled and took it to the dealer. It worked for about 5 minutes and broke again and they said they couldn't do anything about it. Thanks for the tip though. I'll have to look into doing that!
Dude your video skills are epic.
Thank you! Haha they do take a long time to make 😅
4 Low Mode worth it so much. I had no idea what I was getting into. I had already ordered a set of LED lights for mine and I was like shit how am I gonna mount this. This video was a life saver!
@@brianpresto1446 Haha yeah! When you understand the concept it is a lot easier. It's just when you aren't sure about what to do, it can be confusing. Especially when the only advice people give you about it is "Oh it's not really that hard" 😅
Just getting around to this today. My adapters don’t seem to be drilled out for the nubs at all. What size drill bit did you use to open it up? Thanks man!
@@brianpresto1446 Oh yes! There has been a V2 update to the studs. You now use the the factory clips on the old OEM headlight assembly that you pull off the H3. See photo here: laseddesigns.com/collections/frontpage/products/v2-mounts-for-7-round-headlight-adapters
Do you know when the brackets are going to be back in stock?
Keep up the great work man!
