Ndugu is giving a lesson on the history of Rock 'n Roll and other music forms. I just visited my grandmother in North Carolina, and some guys down there swear Rock 'n Rock was created by Elvis Presley & the Beatles...It's scary how some people can be so ignorant.
@queenmcsleaze I understand America and The West Indies have the music they have because of the "slave trade." Once Brits, French, & Portuguese conquered the peoples of Africa - they in turn brought with them a keynote you will NOt get any place else. I'm not looking, or listening, to music from a racial perspective, I simply recognize the Souls that create it. Those who can't create this music are searching for Soul. They take it, rename it, and tell the world they've create it.
@queenmcsleaze I did NOT say black people invented Soul. I am professing that Black HAVE Soul along with other dark peoples living closer to the equator. America has successfully convince the world to discredit it's underclass (Blacks). Blues and early Rock n' Roll was originated by guys like Lil' Richard and Black musicians from New Orleans and that part of the American South.
played w santana 74-75 did not even fit w the band to wild splashy! was he even trying to tell carlos santana to replace the great conguero armando peraza your wernt even in the league of the greatest latin rock band of alltime!!
this is called "bioessentialism", folks, and it's fucking stupid and it's what's been used to justify the most horrible racism against non-white people worldwide. there's no scientific basis for it.
What a Giant❤❤❤❤
