This tut is perfect for me, thank you! I’m kind of a girl-stuff novice but recently found the vintage fashion to be one of the few feminine styles I feel really comfortable with. These look so much easier than the pin up tuts I’ve tried 😁
Is there a trick to getting a pinup scarf knotted on top to be symmetrical? When I double knot, one end points toward my nose and the other to my tail. I want both pointing towards my ears!
My last victory roll ended up being like the size of a deodorant stick because I couldn’t figure out how to get it as thick but not as big with my hair length 😂😂😂 and then I wore it to school For throwback day
Do you have any advice for wearing a bandana in the hair? I have a problem, the bandana always goes behind my ears and it looks weird, even when I put in Bobby pins, the bandana still moves. It feels like my head is too small or my ears are not in place or something. Also, whenever I wear a bandana with my hair loose, there is this “bandana-bump” in the back. I don’t know. I think it looks amazing on other people but on me a bandana looks so weird and I don’t know what im doing wrong 🥴
This happens to me too. The best half-solutions I’ve come up with are 1) buying bandannas that are a little bit stretchy. This allows them to accommodate my head shifting around more, they don’t give me a headache if I tie them tightly, and they tend to have a texture that doesn’t slide around on my hair as much. And 2) fuss with the variables: The angle- how far forward (towards your forehead) are you wearing it? The thickness- try making it thicker or thinner by adjusting how you roll/fold it up. The knot- your bump might get less noticeable if you use a square knot. You can also bobby pin or tuck the tails under the bandanna so they don’t stick out as much. Or try having the knot still under your hair, but off as far to one side as you can get it. And when you find a sweet spot with one, you can always leave it tied and just slide it off your head so it’s still the same way next time you wear it. I know this probably seems excessively detailed but that’s bc I used to wear bandannas in my hair every day for work lol so I had a lot of time to figure it out
