2 ½ hours with no bites. I actually really appreciate this info. Keeping it real. Way too many videos, especially about lures and bait, make it look like you should get a fish on every 2nd cast. Then I feel like a loser when I’m out and I wonder what the heck I’m doing so wrong.

I just started bass fishing and caught a nice 3lb black bass with the Googan Drop Shot (Brown Gill) and a shaky head within 5 minutes of my first cast. I'm very impressed with it!

My daughter found a dried up snapping turtle in a puddle. We put him in water and he was alive. I kept him in a tank for 10 years. He grew from size of 50 cent peice to bigger than a frisbee. Let him go this spring. Into a pond. Should have plenty of food.

That turtle could bitten your finger off. It could have also broken your toe, maybe not use your feet as a guard next time. You needn't worry too much about the turtle biting you if you keep it facing away from you. I used to go out and track turtles around my birthplace in Indiana. There is a small county park called Ox Bow Park in the city I grew up in, there I caught SO MANY TURTLES. My largest-to-date snapper is 47lbs 13 oz. I accidentally caught him on some expired pork I was using for catfiish.
