Good idea, we removed all the seats except for the captions chair, in our 20’ Thompson this way there is a lot of room a box like that with a swivel and a track for sliding forward and back.

Jon I don't mount them ,they just set in the boat . That way you can move them out of the way while fishing if you need to.
