Catch and Cook BLUE Meat Lingcod on a Sheer Cliff After 3 Dudes Fail Spearfishing

- Fisherman's Life, Andrew, and I take a 3-4 hour drive up the coast of Northern California for a diving/spearfishing trip for a couple of days but fail to catch anything substantial. PLUS, I lost my GoPro so unfortunately, I couldn't capture all the amazing wildlife I saw while diving.
Matts, Andrew and I go fishing and catch a lingcod from a cliff that we cook for dinner. We make fish tacos for Andrew's first ever lingcod.

Really nice production on this video w/ the shots + audio. Sorry about your GP and that spearfishing didn't work out (did you rent or buy that gear?), but Matts is clutch with those swimbait catches and those tacos looked great!
I fished for them out of Bodega bay once and we were down over 500 feet . Fished them from Big Sur up to New Years Island but stopped when it became obvious their numbers were dropping . Used to be allowed 5 any size and limits over 100 pounds weren't that rare .One of the best eating fish there is .
