How to Install FortiGate Virtual Machine VM with Free evaluation License in VMWare Workstation Pt II

- Starting with FortiOS 7.2.1, Fortinet removed built-in 15 days free evaluation license from the Fortigate VM images. It was replaced with the permanent evaluation license, still free. The steps to get it have changed - you now have to create a free Forticare/FortiCloud account, and use it inside the Fortigate GUI to activate this evaluation license. The license will be generated and added to your Forticloud account automatically.

How did you get it to connect when it was not coming up? About 10 minutes in the video.

I want to install it so I can use the image with EVE-NG. But the build I have doesn't get access via GUI(I can access via CLI) and ask for evaluation license which I couldn't find anywhere. Do you have any image that I can use for EVE for trial license so I can do labs with routers connected?
You should be able to access gui... Try using http instead of https and also check whether you allow access for http on the interface

Hi SIr, My mouse get stuck while opening this FG-ov file in vmware. When it ask for user and password. Any suggestion ?
Press control + alt keys at the same time. Your mouse would be visible. You can use the mouse in the Fgt VM... You can just type your username then press enter and type your password
I tried to follow your guide with V 7.2.4 but still have license issue, I guess your guide doesn't work with V 7.2.4 version.

hen I'm login to activate the evaluation license with forticloud account it show error " Error downloading license: Invalid product model". I'm using 7.2.4 version. Can you please help?

Are you able to ping the Vm from your system?

But after ping completed it says 4 packets receid lost 0
