As a baseball fan, I think an outfielder making a clutch assist, especially late in the game with the game on the line, is one of the most exciting plays. That was a laser throw!
SAN DIEGO PADRES win the series against the best team in baseball, Tampa Bay Rays!! Happy Father's day to all the hard working fathers everywhere! LET'S GO SAN DIEGO!!!

Que juegaso a dado contra el mejor equipo de grande ligas ahora mismo si jugaran siempre con esa misma emoción no habra equipo que le gane arriba sandiego 👍✌️
Tatis is a young Roberto Clemente... dare I say. Speed/Strong Arm/Power/Hitting with both being an exciting presence in the line up. Kudos on Jr.s maturity while maintaining team presence after the steroid/broken wrist issues. Keep it up and Pads may make the playoffs after all... They're starting to gel.
I saw a few Rays fans saying Nola was blocking the plate on that Tatis throw so while I agree with you I feel like I shouldnt complain too much (also I have no idea if that foot block on the base is legal or not)
Rays lose this series in San Diego after nearly coming back against the Padres. GG Padres. After a week on the road, we head home for a rest day, and then we face off against the Divisional Rival the Orioles. Let’s beat them and gain more on the Orioles.
Good games man. Unfortunately the Padres don't get a rest and now go to SF to play the 7 consecutive win Giants who just swept the Dodgers. After this series they will have played 9 games in a row
this has been the best game in this year for the padres. i hope they start picking up . Tatis is been having the team in his back , they all need to start making adjustments specially machado with the bat , soto too and bogaers cuz defensetly they been pretty good but not with the bat.
Machado had a nice seeing eye single to add a run…as well as a sac fly to produce two big runs. That’s what wins games…if all our guys focus on just getting the RBI vs smashing one over the wall…they can win many more games. The game before with 3 consecutive bunts that ended up producing enough runs to win…hopefully showed this team that if they’re willing to add the small ball to their game consistently…they can win those 1 run games that have been so elusive the first part of their season. Time will tell if they’ve truly adapted.
What an idiotic move for the catcher to throw the ball to 2B instead of just going to first. Essentially costed them 3 runs, and gave the Padres the game. Absolutely stupid
What I don't understand in baseball when you steal and you try to tag the base and his foot is blocking your foot from hitting the bag why wasn't Tatis safe then isn't that interference I have only really into baseball the last few years so I am still learning here
This is true..Tatis was already on third and going back to the base because the catcher threw there after the pitch...infielder making a tag on a runner cannot block the base with his foot or any other part of the body that would obstruct the runner from being safe unless he was touched with the ball via mitt or hand before 1:25 .....pretty much the same rules as home plate, but those are always in the gray zone
@@Mra5000- Yeah, on the play at the plate, the catcher may have been blocking the inner half of the plate from a foot away, but the runner on the outside of the baseline still had plenty of daylight to half of the plate. With that pick at 3rd, the fielder was literally blocking the entire front of the bag with his foot. Tatis would've very easily been safe without that obstruction, not much gray area there.
Trade Soto. Don't wait for the deadline do it now why he has some value.Pick up a picture and a outfielder I don't know what happened to Soto he just can't hit anymore. He is a good solid defensive player and gets on base buy walks a lot. But the Padres got him to hit for power.
I can kind of see where your coming from but every single player on this padres team is having a down year besides tatis offensively, soto is actually one of the top guys for the padres believe it or not. He’s tied for the most RBI’s on the team if I’m not mistaken and has more home runs than most of the players on the team,
@@x1_real803 Soto is a 250 hitter. In another year we won't be able to get anything for him. If we can get above-average outfielder. And an ace picture out of a trade I think the Padre should do it. I wouldn't just trade him for anyting. Kept hearing him to other Padres doesn't work for me. All the other players are going to stay on the team. Another year-and-a-half Soto leaves anyways. You bet thanks for that stat. Padres are going after the Superstar from the California angels. We also need to find a new hitting coach before next year.
What? The pitching has been pretty solid all year including a league leading lowest bullpen ERA. The offense has been extremely inconsistent and has hurt this team in so many games.
As someone who watches the Padres highlights every game, their starting pitching is getting better. Wacha has been the most consistent starter this year. Snell and Musgrove started slow, but both have had a pretty good last month. Darvish has been pretty up and down, mostly down lately. Weathers has been really bad, but Lugo should be back soon. Lugo started well, then not so good, then got hurt. His turn around is a key to going forward. Bullpen is usually very good, excpet Garcia hasn't been as good as last year. Can't wait to get Suarez and Morjeon back. The offense is more problematic in my analysis.
Don't forget Tatis running through that stop sign from the third base coach. That was as much a game winner as the throw out at home. Nino won the game with his play.
What a throw from Tatis to save the game
