We get our modern words from things in the past as a concept. It's just funny because we're no longer connected to them and we rediscovering them. I also like the storage on paper because it doesn't require batteries.
Er, yeah. They're called "files" and "open" and "desktop" as analogies to the real-world things. That's deliberate. The computer words are adapted from previous words. That's not remarkable and doesn't need to be announced in that patronising tone.

@@domdecosa yep and to give the young people something to connect with he called it a “laptop” which I think was a great way to get their attention giving them a relatable term and let them experience some history from the early 1800’s. The current young generation don't know those real-world things because they grew up with screens in their faces.
