  • IT'S NOT CHI-FI... IT'S-FUN FI! I review the DOUK T8 PRO 7-Band EQ! It's super affordable and fun! It's not perfect but it might fill in the gaps in your system! Retraction: I mistaken referred to the T8 as a parametric EQ, a helpful subscriber set me straight. It is a volumetric EQ. Knowledge is power!

It's early in the morning and the wife is still sleeping I picked up my phone in bed and watched your video with closed captions and the sound off. I was thoroughly entertained and enlightened. Love the content and humor! You make hifi, lowfi, midfi and funfi feel like it's mifi (TM)!

I'm a fan of your videos. I'm pretty stoked when I see a new one. You look like you're having fun and it's nice to see someone enjoy their gear and their records. Plus the Kissa bar you (and your friends) made is enviable.

Fun is the best thing to have. So FUNFI works for me. My ten band graphic equalizer has been out of operation for quite some time, Enjoy your videos and thanks.

  • @darkhorse1968

Holy moly, that was a terrific video. Love your style!

Fun-Fi! Love it!!!! I may have gone a bit crazy and purchased four Fosi and Ayima products and have been really impressed!!!! Great video, again!!!!

  • @VintageGearMan

Oh! Love your lamp shade in the background! Nice lighting. Ha! Guessing vintage also.

I really like “Fun Fi” and will use it. Not demeaning like the other phrase. I also built a Jazz Kissa after your inspiration. A work in progress but I really like it. Thank you for showing yours! Cheers!

EQs are fun. I had a Quadraphonic Blaupunkt in my car with an EQ. Had EQs on a couple of the popular mini systems in the '80s as well.Good times.

Saw the review of this piece of gear on Randy's channel already but really liked your perspective on this!! Thanks for another great episode of US of A. Oh and just a little tip to maybe consider: if possible try placing the teleprompter/notes on a little above your camera. It will make it seem more like a conversation between you and the viewer and less like a lecture. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪✌️

I really enjoy your videos. You look like you are having fun making them. I remember back in the 70s it seemed like a lot of guys in the barracks had equalizers and they usually had all the sliders pushed all the way up. Lively but crappy sound.

Great show! Love the new word!

  • @JimboSliceXX

I usually enjoy watching the install and operation the item being reviewed.

  • @korling99

Thanks for the trip to the People’s Republic of Fun-fi!

  • @michaelwright1602

Fun-Fi! Love it! And Talking Heads Movie/Live! I was listening the other night on the Zu's... The Fun-Fi Speakers on the old Sansui 4000!

  • @gregcarson3444

Back in the 70’s I had the soundcraftmens eq. Those were the days, (yeah old man here). I borrowed a white noise generator, a scope and a microphone, and with that eq, set my speakers to flat for the room. Never touched the EQ again, if I wanted to tweak I had Bass, Mid, and Treble controls on the ol’ Sansui.

  • @tedliu1025

Good review!I have been using T8 Pro for three months. It's fun and i enjoy it.

  • @VintageGearMan

One super cool thing I do with my AR XA turntable, if an album sounds a bit to bright I take off my acrylic mat and put a wool mat on instead. Sometimes that all it takes. I do this fairly often rather changing my EQ settings. You would be amazed how well this works at times. Running a beautiful Shure V15 III,,, 1970's chromed cartridge.

  • @punkish7

Like the idea, would be fun, but why tubes?? I'll keep looking. Thanks for your content, enjoy what you're doing here.

  • @moonytheloony6516

I always thought the EQ's WITH the spectrum display was more of an 80s thing because all of the EQ's I saw from the 70s had only those sliders but i digress.

  • @Simon_Hawkshaw

Just want to ask if 'all' hifi isn't 'fun-fi', especially if it fills your ears and heart with joy? Love the patent vocabulary. You educate and entertain us all. Thanks for your perspectives, time, and effort sharing this with us all. BTW, you keep distracting me with, oooohhhh, VU meters, glowing tubes, Muscrat Love, and Afternoon Delight. 😂😂 I still have my spectrum analyzer/EQ with bouncing levels. p.s. Love Levon!
