    How would these two creatures ever meet each other? By that I mean, why would a snake ever need to go that far into the sea? To be realistic here for a moment, I believe Megalodon would win IF the two ever fought, simply because...
    1. A shark is deigned for life at sea whereas a snake is more adept for travel on land.
    2. (This is all stuff I found, so say I'm wrong if you want) Titanoboa was said to have been around 42ft in length while Megalodon was said to be around 43-70ft in length, and that's a rough estimate due to the problems that occur in trying to replicate the shark completely.
    3. Bigger teeth = wider lacerations = massive blood loss = death.

      Megalodon patrolled the coast, if they lived at the same time it’s not far fetched that they could have met. Large South American constrictors such as anacondas are heavily aquatic because they are so big, no reason to think titanaboa wouldn’t be too. Snakes are my favorite animals, but there is no snake, past or present, that could win a fight with a shark.

  • @MsHhhunter
    @MsHhhunter 8 лет назад +134

    I gotta go with Megalodon. Meglodon was a super predator if there ever was one. There is no escaping or hiding from Megalodon. Megalodon/fish has what are called "lateral lines" They use it to detect depth/water pressure, prey, predators, sense current movement and orientation in the current. Megalodon also has a sensory device called the "ampullae of Lorenzini" It detects electrical impulses of the brain of any animal so the Meg can home in on it. Megaladon doesn't need to see Titanoboa to know where it is. Also Megalodon inhabits the deepest waters of the world, the Mariannas Trench. Seven miles deep and pressure over 16,000 PSI. If that doesn't crush Megalodon, Titanoboa won't stand a chance. And last but not least, Megalodon weighed up to 70 tons, and could take a bite out of a whale the size of an elephant with a bite force of 35,000 lbs, the strongest bite force of any animal that ever existed. Meglodon wins 50 outta 50..

    It depends on the environment. If its deep water then the Megalodon will eat the Titanoboa from below. Eventually cutting it in half. If its shallow water then the Titanoboa will coil around the Megalodons gills and suffocate it to death.

      Chaotic Dinosaur exactly right they live and hunt in 2 diff environment it's too hard to call cause they wouldnt naturally neva meet so like u said deep water mega goin through him him 1 bite the mega like 60 ft right? it's no match in deep water cause that's mega huntin ground and in a swampy area where u would find boa the shark probably couldn't even fit even if he could boa would use underwater trees as an advantage. i say its no way to make that fight fair but mega would win where they picked them to fight

    • @SwirlyBag
      @SwirlyBag 7 лет назад

      Chaotic Dinosaur sort of true if titanoboa wrapped itself around megalodon it would die...if it could get there because the megalodon was a 60 foot long super predator and titanoboa was a giant snake megalodon is probably faster in deep water while titanoboa knows where he is in shallow water but megalodon would win either way unless titanoboa ambushed megalodon

    • @xero9928

    Lets be realistic here...its a win win, they can kill each other in a few seconds of meeting, boa can sneak up on mega and wrap its body around while holding a firm grip with its jaws if it has to eventually suffocating the shark, mega on the other hand has the bite force and ambush on its side thus if catching can end the snake's life in one bite though one its cover is blown its a 50,50 chance on who gets to the other first,

      Nah all sharks can sense prey by sight smell touch ect. But the main one is electricity and heart beats so would know the snake was coming when its like 300 miles a way. Clearly Megalodon would win. But then again if you think about when and where it happend night time and in shallow waters, Snake. Day time deep waters, Shaek WIN WIN

    • @johncadena9330
      @johncadena9330 9 лет назад +1

      The Titanoboa has a chance of winning because the big teeth only work on large pray. If the megalodon bites it there's a chance it could bite it, or it can escape a gap from the large teeth

    The only threat to a Meg would've been the giant sperm whale called Leviathan. That thing had teeth actually longer than Meg's(over 12" in length) and judging by its brain size, would have a huge intelligence, making it a very dangerous animal. If the encounters of modern Orcas vs Great White Sharks mirror the encounters of Leviathan vs Meg, then it looks pretty bad for the Megs.

    • @GGDaolonWong
      @GGDaolonWong 10 лет назад

      You know there was only one documented case of an Orca killing a Great White right?

    • @AmericanThunder
      @AmericanThunder 10 лет назад +2

      Perd Asan Great white sharks do not generally attack whales, unless they're young and fall behind the pod
      And there has been one "documented" case of the orca killing a great white, but that hardly means it's only happened once. And as I mentioned, great whites don't normally go after large prey, they go after the young, as that one tried to do with the orca, and it didn't work out for him.
      Orcas have a HUGE intellect, and they know exactly how to make a shark go catatonic, by rolling them over on their backs. You cannot defeat an intellect like that, accompanied by huge mass, huge teeth and an aggressive tactical mind. An ancient giant sperm whale would be scary, even for a meg, and a big risk, so I'm not sure the shark would try it. Modern Sperm Whales have an echo location so powerful that divers get nauseous in the water near them. Giant Sperm Whales would probably stun/kill a person who was was close enough to be hit by the echo waves. I'm not sure what effect that would have on sharks. Sharks are instinctive, and they didn't survive this long on Earth by trying to attack things that might hurt them, or things that require too much energy to kill. They don't attack humans, because humans lack sufficient fat to provide enough calories to offset the calories burned to attack them. Sharks can tell your fat content, as I'm sure they can tell a lot of other things. As I said, they didn't survive this long by taking chances and wasting energy on prey that isn't worth the time.
      Although, the meg did not survive, so maybe they DID take risks.. lol

    • @GGDaolonWong
      @GGDaolonWong 10 лет назад

      calzor8 Where'd you come up with that? From one instance of an orca killing a smaller great white shark? And in every predator prey relationship, the prey wins at least 1/10. And considering great whites and orcas are more likely rivals than predator/prey, it is extremely unlikely the orca would win 10/10.

    • @DFCMAD77
      @DFCMAD77 10 лет назад

      Perd Asan You're in denial Orcas are stronger, faster, more intelligent, bigger and generally just better and where do you come up with your utter bullshit, ppl fear sharks because they're sharks naturally feared creatures. The killer whale is waay out of any modern sharks league I've seen more than 4 documentaries about this subject and over 10 different fights the killer whale stomps every single time 10 outta 10 you see now dipshit. I have story of titanoboa in thailand
    At ww2 japanese military go to building the base in forest at kanchanaburi
    Because this forest is very good resoces .at night some japanese patrol in forest but they missing
    Some soldire.until the day They have prepared the troops to take down the enemy. And they found a cave that was supposed to belong to the enemy When they entered, they found only skulls of humans and thousands of animals. The general ordered the soldiers to go and explore. Not long after entering the sound of a gun occurring inside. Those soldiers came out and told the general that The monsters were inside. We shot countless but they didn't die. The general ordered the soldire to bomb this cave. boom !!! When everyone went in to see a snake carcass that is as tall as a closet. As wide as a pantry And the roughness equal to a football field They cut the carcass of it Its spine is now in a temple, but the spine of the titanoboa has been stolen and mysteriously disappeared.

    If the shark had just the right angle, he could probably swallow the snake whole. Then again, as illusive as it is, the snake could easily dart to the side and curl around the shark. Let's just say they're both fierce monsters who we should be glad never met face to face.

      SliferTheSkyDragon71 That snake is the same length as Megaladon and wrapped a T-Rex 3 times over. It has the power of 400lb per square inch which is the equivalent of 3 Eiffel Towers stacked on top of each other. So I think Titanoboa will win.

    • @MeshaMichaelSavio
      @MeshaMichaelSavio 10 лет назад +10

      Alex The Meerkat Actually the Megalodon has a better chance of winning. It's estimated to grow to about 60ft, whereas the Titanoboa maxes out at about 50ft, and the Megalodon had a bite force ranging from 22,000-36,000 psi, where as the constricting power of a Titanoboa is 400 psi. So the Titanoboa can't completely constrict an animal that's typically much larger than itself, and it certainly wouldn't be wise to go against an animal that has a bite force of more than 50x your own power projection. So if they were to fight, the Megalodon would win.

    Everyone keeps saying that Titanboa would win if they were fighting on land, but has anyone thought that maybe a giant shark wouldn't do so well on land. Also I think Megolodon would win IN THE WATER because well, he was the worlds most deadly predator and even though you might say that the snake would suffocate him in the water you have to remember that the snake needs oxygen and they couldn't go to deep without the pressure hitting them. So final verdict,
    Land: Titanoboa, only because Megalodon can't go on to land
    Water: Megalodon, duh

    depends how they do it
    If titanoboa has enough air for the fight it could prepare an ambush
    If megaladon manages to ambush it could win
    although it would have to be an ambush for a victor to rise

    Megalodon would win because titanaboa would be helpless because its only way of killing was suffocation so megladons gills would be a huge advantage and titanaboa is big but not big enough to take down Megalodon

    • @dianaesters8173

      wrong titanaboa would be able to kill megaladon I've seen other snakes that kill by constriction eat fish in the river that was in the front yard of my old house I've often caught a snake in their only to have it regurgitate it in front of me (sometime on me)

    • @jzsldg-fan2984
      @jzsldg-fan2984 10 лет назад +1

    • @Hawk-gu8kj
      @Hawk-gu8kj 10 лет назад

      Esteban Cota how big was megladon around the size of 1 to 1 1/2 the size of a school bus maybe about the size of 2 school buses of I remember right also their's not a whole lot of difference between a fish in a river and a shark I've seen both the outside and the inside of both as far as I can tell their shouldn't be a reason a titanaboa couldn't kill a megaldon also they kill by crushing the life out of the animal it's not always suffuocation that kills the prey

    For all those who say titanoboa would win by squeezing it to death, Megalodon has these scale-like coverings along it's body called denticles. This feels like sandpaper on a normal shark and can cut you if you stroke it backwards. But on a bigger shark, Megalodon, means bigger denticles which means more rough skin to injure attackers. I usually am the person who says it depends on a few certain things, such as Rex vs Spino, but there just seems to be no chance of titanoboa coming out victorious. Megalodon was bigger by a lot, more bulky and powerful, and an insane jaw force that can snap a semi-truck in two. Titanoboa cannot just swallow Megalodon even if it unhinges its jaw, Meg is just too big. It's only advantage is being more intelligent, but the only smart thing to do in the situation is too escape as quickly as possible. It's also not even as fast as Megalodon. If I get one word saying it is faster, remember, Megalodon was built to live and thrive in water. Titanoboa mostly made for land. Picking up what I'm laying down? Sorry titanoboa fans, but it's the truth. It hurts us all the most
