What guitar are you playing, please? You have a 12-string preference, as well? Thank you in advance.
Renting the castle is the cherry on top off an awesome song.
Op bro
So many people have the technique, but you Sir, do not only master that, but also write so incredibile melodies.... You are truly such a great musician, THANK You!
you should make a video in the Fuchs Villa!
Beautiful melody!! 👌🏻
Thanks Charles! 🖤🤘
@@Bernthguitar +1 suggesting making a video at the the Fuchs Villa -- also at De Es ' warehouse
Yes
The man, the myth, the legend, Charles.
Charles, I understand how tempting it is, but it is imperative that you take the utmost care when accessing this RUclips channel. We can’t afford another tear in the fabric of space-time like the one you guys created as a result of your last battle. The future of mankind, dare I say the universe, is counting on you both to restrain yourselves.
I love how he always does something when he records a song, he rarely just makes it, he put fireworks on his guitar, he put water in his guitar, he Drilles holes in his guitar, and he’s playing in a castle. How much cooler can he get, he blows my mind every time
Hes a champ at guitar man fr, hes getting more popular as more people see him play
He also built the longest guitar ever😂 (Infinite)
The most impressive thing is how he managed to get all these takes and shots in only 3 hours
On a cold day!
Nah. It's the playing by a thousand miles
and then I would wonder what and the world took so long - if he had already practiced and knew which song he would be playing - he should have been able to do it in one - all he did was to record his song - and take it with him to alter in his home by just adding music in the back ground - as do all these others on boobtube - some people have very weird imaginations about simple things - ahahahahahahaha - what I was wondering is - why did he not have more information on the castle itself - very odd ! - in the business -- we call these cheap tricks - but the playing sounds pretty good anyway -
@@user-du7pe6pm7d you're the first person to ever wonder "what and the world". Safe to say you think differently sir, and your condescension sure comes across as jealousy. Bernth rubs you the wrong way for some reason?
No doubt that Bernth is one of the best guitarists of our generation
Yes very true. Watching his videos alone made me a shredder.
He absolutely is!!!
He got there with obsessive practice day and night. Liszt was a pianist back in the day and was known to practice 14 hrs a day. He was a rock star too of that era.
I honestly think there's a new wave of guitar style that, I don't think each of the guys like Polyphia Bernth Charles Berthoud (bassist obviously but) they don't sound the same but there's this interesting expansion of melody and difficulty being done by them which is very cool and surely different in some ways
right up there with ichika nito and tim henson
I like how Bernth turns a song into an experience. It's artistry.
Even without renting the castle, the song sounds so good
Bernth is one of the very few musicians that can create music that gives me chills every time. His music and talent is incredible.
You just know the ghosts of that place are vibing hard.
Pure talent + Hard work = Perfection... I think you've hit perfection a few times over, dude
how do u match talent with hard work
@@ripecoin469 we all have a genetic window of potential, the work will determine where you wind up in that window of potential.
Today my grandmother passed away, and the first song that i've heard was dopamine. The music and video are incredible. Congratulations Bernth
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️🙏
i love how pretty much all of bernth's videos go along the lines of "doing this random guitar thing sounds (insert adjective here)"
Sweeping on an acoustic is a whole new level of playing! Loving it!
Bernth is one of the few guitarists in the world, whom I'd actually love to hear an all-acoustic guitar album from
Yes
Then you are limiting yourself from the amazing world of acoustic instrumental music. Your loss.
I am sure the castle owner must have liked Bernth playing Dopamine in his castle 😁
You deserve it, you proved you are a true king, and I'm proud of being part of your kingdom...
The king found its castle
My God man. You just made my favorite song even better
Man, that sounds Incredible.
This is my new favorite accoustic instrumental song. Amazing my brother.
Best
Such a beautiful song! I've always been fascinated by old and abandoned structures slowly succumbing to the surrounding environment. Hearing this in person there must be a phenomenal experience
I started following you to learn how to play. I didn’t know you made music, and admittedly when I found out I wasn’t interested. But holy goodness…I’ve seen a few videos of your music and it’s unbelievable. Came to be a student, ended up a fan.
One of may 3 other shredders I know who actually make sweep picking more about the feel of it rather than just flashy notes, love your playing Man, never stop. 🤘
I love BERNTH, because he makes something new and different. Just when you thought that we’re out of melodies to copy and tweak, he comes along and says “what if I could use something to make a new sound?” Water, fireworks, a church, etc. I think the different ways he makes sound are like a journey, an adventure. The things the sound had to do, and the places it had to go before meeting our ears is its own story
Copy ? Just some, you must be a youngster, "fact check" is all I'm saying or rephrase your comment 🤔
I'm really feeling the evolution of your guitar playing to softer stuff and acoustic guitar
I love the original version of Dopamine, it's my favourite track of the album, but this? This is beyond astonishing, I absolutley adore this version, it´s incredibly soul warming, keep up the amazing work Bernth, you're AMAZING!!!
This is one of the most beautiful guitar and musical pieces i have ever heard. He takes it to a transcendent level
I suffer from really bad Anxiety. Your music helps take that away. Keep doing what you do. Such a talent.
You inspire us all to chase our dreams and goals , im happpy for your acomplishents , keep it up my guy !
The cinematography reminds me a lot of Behemoth's virtual concert; In Absentia Dei, and yes, indeed, it feels truly surreal to listen to these sweet melodies in such a place, and behold the beauty of it, even through a screen. As you said, I can't help but wonder what life was like in that place a millenium ago.
I wonder what people waiting for their turn in line for their castle rental we’re thinking when they heard this being recorded.
Oh this is just beautiful… my ears have not heard such a pleasant melody. It’s just incredible.
Bernth time-traveling back 1000 years ago just to film this video for us was a phenomenal success!
The unplugged version is so passionate and vibrant fills the soul🥰 and sound amazing in those walls🤙🎸
I love playing/singing in acoustically unique and powerful locations. I'd love to hear an unaltered version of this without the background music and only the guitar.
This performance is magical! Regarding the passage of time, there are ways to know what life was like 1000 years ago. But surely people there weren't expecting something like this in their castle in ruins 1000 years on.
It's insane how good you make a simple acoustic sound. You have unbelievable talent. Keep it up!
0:16 Haha it's fun to see others are chewing the pick too.
You never cease to impress . This is Epic . To be honest this acoustic work is where your skills shine brightest !
Playing guitar? This is far beyond playing, this is guitar totally mastered! Beautiful!
We had a drowning guitar, a burning guitar, a guitar with holes in it and now a single guitar in an entire castle;) you never fail to amaze me Bernth and my ultimate goal as a guitar player is to become as good as you are (or at least to reach 50% of your skill and perfection). Keep on the great work ❤️
Wow! Just spectacular!!! Wish I could have been there with you when this was recorded! The castle: such a fitting setting for the renaissance of your exquisite sound! I can image a party of dancers, lords and ladies, in that chamber, for a gala. Albeit, the music was probably slower paced. I’d say to them, “Bernth? One day your great great great grandkids are gonna love it!” Cheers! Awesome!
When I listened to the intro, at first, I thought "no way it's a 4/4 rythmic signature..." But when you think about it, it turns out it is !
First of all bravo! Always wanted to learn guitar, but never got around to it. As a fan of both instrumentals and castles, this was well worth the watch and listen. I'll be checking out more of your stuff. 🤘😎
This song actually musical magic, Im a pretty new viewer and this song really blew my socks my off. You really area master of the guitar, its so awesome
One of the few rare songs of this world to bring me to tears. Your work is amazing brother.
2:15 to 2:20 was so cool one of the best transitions ive ever heard
I love these acuostic songs you have been making recently and the way you shred it in some parts
Beautiful song and great shots of the castle! Love it.
As one who also loves guitars and old castles, this just made my day!
Im just in awe most times when I listen to an open guitar, so many emotions so much depth.
Bearnth you Rock!
I have to come to really love how the comments you put at the bottom of the video screen feel like the unsung lyrics of your music
So impressive. I really love when you play acoustics
Awesome acoustics!!! Well done 👍😎
This man went all-in on the bard class.
Wow ❤ I didn't expect that I would cry from how beautiful this sounds 😅 awesome work
other bands: play music videos in old warehouses
bernth:C A S T L E
Oh my god you’ve done it! A new song without a destroyed guitar!! 😂😂 No seriously it sounds really cool
Something about the piece makes me a little bit more poetic and a little delirious in saying that the shots of the castle with the piece sorta gives life and after images of the people if there had been a festival or banquet happening.
Wonderful Acoustics will Make Your Day!🥰
Thanks for sharing!👍
Mike in San Diego.🌞🎸🚀🖖
RUclips just dropped one of your videos for me and now I'm in love with your music! Also the aesthetic, beauty, simplicity, and direct (you go straight to the point) of your videos. You gotta a new subscriber :)
Love this tune and your acoustic work! So beautiful!
May all the souls that might be engaged in this place and still seek absolution, or resolve for the transgessions during their time, be now, and forever more, released from any contract, entrapment, or connection, and live in peace with creation and all that is !! As many are still trapped and seek relief from their condition, pray that it will be so !!
As amazing as the “full” version is, I just love the unplugged version of Dopamine sooo much more. Sounds magical.
Sounds amazing. Been enjoying a lot of your acoustic stuff recently - hell of a lot of talent!
Im really glad you made and acoustic version. My favorite of your creations so far.
You are amazing. It's like our souls speak and they agree that these things should happen. And then you make them happen. And I am blessed with this experience. Thank you.
Wow, this made my jaw drop for the first 162 seconds. Beautiful, harmonious, wholesome. Thank you!
You deserve to be known worldwide. Your songs get me through hard days of work and hardship. I love it and keep it up
A the strings flow, I can imagine ever moment of time that has happened on that place
Awesome work, Bernth! Really enjoying all of the new music you've been putting out!
It’s like as if there are ghosts roaming around the abandoned building, even ghosts forgotten in time has all gathered to the very same spot to hear a memorable performance from you and one they will always remember
The beauty of his music literally took my breath away...acoustics in that castle are phenomenal.
Everytime I hear him play I want to quit. 17 yrs of playing and I cant hold a candle to him.
Sweep picking on acoustic, wow. I still remember my first acoustic action was higher than everest. Salute, my teacher 🫡
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate that the guitar survived the video.
😂
This song makes me goosebumps and emotional at high level. I decided to join your Patreon today, so I might play something like this one day. So, now excuse me, I have to practice! :)
Bernth, Good day to you, I have been enjoying your videos for a few months now. Great job and thanks for the the continued entertainment
He makes it look so easy! Love it! From one guitarist to the best!
This has got to be one of my favorite songs of yours so far
You are amazing!!! Fantastic performance, bravo Maestro😊
Bro thank you for waking up the fire in many of us. I gotta share a stage with you one day. All love from Cali brotha
His acoustic talent is on another level!!!
Thank’s for sharing your talent with us. Love the location.
It may be forgotten by time but it still has electric and nice flooring ! Great performance in such a beautiful location. Fantastic !!!
Bernth and I are equally proficient on 1 major and highly important technique: putting the pick in our mouth while tapping!
I love his amazing songs!
Literally brought tears to my eyes
Reminds me of a story Mick Gordon told about David Bowie at the GDC 2017, where they only had one track over to record the vocals. But they needed reverb that was "scalable". And with the possibilities they had, they put three mics in a room some good meters away from each other. One with Bowie in front of it. And the other had a gate so that they opened up after each other based on how loud Bowie was singing so they got all the good reverb from the room on the remaining track. I hope I got that right. But the concept by itself is very interesting.
That would have been a great thing to listen to reverb getting bigger and bigger based on how hard you're playing without any post production. Only guitar, mics, a way to record everything and a church.
Another concept I love to work with when it comes to reverby things is setting up a compression effect that and if you stop playing it brings up the room and environmental sounds. Especially when your working with distortion and other things that aren't a thing when you are recording "unplugged" acoustic songs. But the thought behind all this is interesting.
Playing guitar in a church gives a lot of room (no pun intended) for experimental thoughts. 🤔
Ah by the way I love your work. It sounds amazing. Your an amazing artist and teacher... I guess. Sadly I only know you from videos. But I'd need a teacher like you because I still suck at guitar (14 years after starting to play it). 😅
Always wondered what Dopamine would sound like played acoustically. I absolutely LOVE it!!! 🎉😄
Absolutely my favorite living guitar playing legend!!
A man that shreds on acoustic guitar with that clean …. Man your on another level
Awesome guitarist! Very tasteful and respectful shoot.Kudos!
Prolly the best picking those halls ever saw. Cool man. Much better than destroying a guitar
This was beyond beautiful
Bernth is one of those guys who never, NEVER disappoints. Amazing work there
I felt every emotion all at once loved every second of it
Just my fav guitar player (teacher) ever. You're so inspirational
this is amazing! BERNTH is one of the guitarists in the world, maybe ever!
Thanks for sharing with us all, can only imagine how it felt to actually be there 🤟 Beautiful song!!!
Fantastic, loved the setting as well. I found myself wondering if he was a musician back in those times. How would the people in that Castle have reacted to his song? Lol
