I was withdrawn because the Ghana card was linked to every sim.
Plus some merchants were stealing Ghana card details to register sim cards for others. They could keep cards of some ignorant people and use it to register sim for people.

I think the best way is to use our Ghana card to withdraw our money on mobile money. If you come and your face is not the same as what is on the ID, no merchant should withdraw money for you. Simple.
Everything has a disadvantage. It wouldn't favor a lot of people. Imagine someone on his sick bed, deputing his child to make a withdrawal on his behalf, imagine the number of Ghana Cards that will get missen. This fraud thing is only with MTN.. They are just shit.

The kinda question the guy is asking the merchant be foolish questions... and moreover it's only in Ghana that MTN can block the merchant's working sim card. let them them try that foolish act here in Europe like the merchant will sue MTN and he will win straight because it's a business sim and if they track the merchant's sim records they should know.

I am just surprised a young man will keep 24k on momo knowing very well there is lots of mtn momo frauds going around.....why not keep it in your bank account and connect it to your momo so you can move the money from bank to wallet when needed ....simple common sense

@@HeadlessRUclipsrSometime Ago I suggested at an MTN forum that a short code should be designed by MTN or probably a feature on the simtool or MTN app to enable victims of phone snatch, robbery, theft, call scam etc , to personally pick a near by phone to quickly suspend his/her sim+momo account for one hour immediately it snatched or notice it has been stolen or compromised.
This system can include the victim entering his/her GHANACARD number, date of birth, phone number, current momo pin and any alternative number registered with the same GHANACARD correctly before a message is received for successfully suspension.
Within that one hour of suspension the victim is supposed to continue calling the emergency customer care numbe(if it's late night) or rush to a nearby MTN office or police station to make an official report. MTN should have a special toll-free number for Ghana Police stations across the country to use specifically for this purpose...and there should be a team dedicated to the course; anytime the police call they have to pick asap n provide quick response.
Ghanaians and "mepa wo ky3w" you don't have to plead to MTN on this matter, everybody should be angry at their services.

This MTN tin is getting out of hand. I miss my MTN sim 2021.. whiles I was out of the country..I'm back I want to MTN for my sim and ask to pay 20gh for the sim I did ...they asked me to come back in one mouth time. I also did again.went back and all they told me is I have no money on my account... fine..I told them I needed statement,, guys it was back and forth...they won't give me statements that the network is bad .. up to now they have not done anything about it...

I was a victim, I called MTN Gh and reported it and gave them every detailed of it, they blocked the person accounts that they are investigating and assured me that I will have my money back and 4 years now I haven't received my money.
Well, 1. It's not mtn fault. 2. Not the agent fault cos if he be scam like he won't leave one cedi mpo for his account after the withdrawal.
3. Our victim here is suspecting wrongly.

If they wipe the phone they can't get the data the keyboard stored or on the phone. It's an insider. One day I woke up and realized my pin has been entered several times and was locked. I asked mtn and they said I did it. I even told them I did transfer at 11pm. How can I forget my pin and locked it.
I had another friend too complain like that. It has never happened on telecel.

some third-party keyboards can store numbers typed on regularly esp when buying airtime or allowing cashout. my Xperia is an example and I normally clear the cache after every transaction.

Quesyofficial probably saved his pin in his notepad because the momo pin is saved on mtn servers not on our phones so it's impossible to crack unless you have access to the physical mtn server storing that pin.

It happens in Kejetia as well, there are people who buy Sims from stolen phones n pay half or quarter of the money in the Momo account cos they can easily withdraw it.

Please, they have his PIN. Either they tried many various permutations or they monitored him and got his PIN without him knowing.
Or they may have also worked with some MoMo agent or MTN staff to crack his PIN.
MTN must refund the money, provided it is not proven that the victim participated in the whole thing. 😃
