GBA SP Wont Turn On. How I clean the switch

This Gameboy Advance SP wouldn't turn on. This is how I fixed this one. If it doesn't work, you probably would need to replace the switch. Make sure you let the unit dry before turning on. hopefully it works for you.

Just a question, Why did you disconnected the ribbon of the screen if you can reach the power button without doing this process?

That helped a lot before no click on switch now it clicks found battery dead and screen cracked so all contact cleaned and ribbon not so hard even cleaned contacts on that

I hope that's what's wrong with mine. I bought a bootleg GC adapter and it broke my GBA SP. It won't turn on or charge, the light pops on for a split second when a charger is plugged in. The screen will turn on for a split second if I plug the charger in while it's on. If only I wasn't so stupid with my old hardware. :'(

What if it does turn on, but can't make it pass the boot-up screen that says "Game Boy"?

I hope this is what is wrong with mine. I thought the battery was dead and I replaced it and it won’t still won’t turn on so I’ll try this tomorrow

The power light is flashing or the screen is flashing?

@@jcfixplay493 sorry for replying here but ive been searching for the past 6 hours and cant find an answer. my gba sp charges fine but whenever i go to try to turn it on the power light flashes red and instantly turns off. ive tried multiple good (tested) batteries. please help!
