Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 As you already know, this was their very first song, but it is even longer ago than you thought. 'Doki Doki Morning' was recorded at the end of October 2010 - over 13 years ago. Su-metal (lead singer) was 12, Yuimetal and Moametal were both 11. The video was recorded around August 2011 on a shoestring budget. Doki Doki is onomatopoeic for a fast or excited heartbeat, so the song is about a girl waking up late and rushing to get ready for an exciting day at school with all her friends. The name BABYMETAL is not about their age (although when they started in 2010 they were aged 12 and 11 so it probably did play a part too). The name was chosen for two reasons: - to symbolise that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal) - because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is nearly identical to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love a pun): BABYMETAL = ベビーメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru) heavy metal = ヘビーメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru) There is nobody quite like BABYMETAL. They don't copy the same format as virtually every other band, they are original and unique and do things their own way. They started as a sub-unit of a school themed JPop Idol group and created their own metal sub-genre mixing Metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics and they brought choreographed dance to Metal ... but not dance as you may know it - theirs helps with interpreting the meaning of the song or a lyric, but it is also designed to involve and include the audience so they also become part of the performance. They separated from the parent group in 2013 to become an independent band in their own right and have been touring the world every year (when they could) since 2014. We have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet and the most successful Japanese band there has been internationally. BABYMETAL are Suzuka Nakamoto / Su-metal (lead vocalist and the whole concept was formed and developed around her vocal talents and stage presence - she is exceptionally talented), Moa Kikuchi / Moametal and Momoko Okazaki / Momometal (in charge of backing vocals, harmonies and mainly hyping and involving the crowd with their choreo). The original third member, Yui Mizuno / Yuimetal, last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for health reasons until she announced in October 2018 that she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band. After Yui left Su and Moa chose to continue as a duo through to and a bit beyond their 10th anniversary. So it was just the two of them for 4 or 5 years supported from 2019 by 3 dancers who would take turns dancing in the third spot until 1st April 2023 when one of those dancers, Momoko, was finally revealed as the new official third member. They have nearly 70 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre, but they will mix and blend so many other musical styles and genres with the metal - usually when you least expect it. Their official videos are all very good, but live BABYMETAL is best. I'm sure you will get a lot of great suggestions for more songs. Some are straight metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. All you can be sure of is that they will surprise you every time, you will not be able to predict what you will see or hear from them next. Expect the unexpected.
wow, that is impressive!! Also I really love the pun of BabyMetal, its so clever 💞 I can't wait to get to know them better and react to more of their content 😊
⚡ 💀 💕 / 💓 ⏰ This song covers all of those traditional Heavy Metal themes, like waking up excited for a new day at school, and deciding on your lip gloss and cute hairstyle for the day. : ) Pretty much everything that followed was because the music video for this song unexpectedly blew up. They had a later viral tidal wave with the 'Gimme Chocolate!!' video, but this is what kicked it all off to begin with. At this point, BABYMETAL were the "Heavy Music Club" sub-unit of the school-themed Idol group Sakura Gakuin. There were other sub-units besides BABYMETAL at Sakura Gakuin that had originally had more resources for costumes and video production, like the Twinklestars (Baton Club) that Yui and Moa were also a part of. This music video was a shoestring production, although I think they made it work, even with that small budget. Su's coat was borrowed from one of the Sakura Gakuin teachers. Moa's vest was borrowed from Yui, and Yui borrowed hers from fellow Sakura Gakuin Raura. The girls taught the skeleton dudes the dance moves themselves. This song is still a huge hit with fans when they play it live. It reminds us how far they've come.
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey.🦊🤘🔥 Rare first time reaction for a BM song but it makes sense to start this amazing journey just like many fans did like me when they have no other songs around but this. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24. -YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. About this song: Doki Doki MORNING is where everything started, they got 11 and 12 yo when the group was created in 2010 with this song but the official MV (Edit version) was released a year later, so almost 14 years since this song came out. The girls look so young i myself was thinking they got less than 10 yo when I met them with this song around that time. The backing band you saw here are hired actors called "baby-bones", you'll see them performing live during early shows until 2014, after that Kami Band took their places as a real band on stage. They're singing about waking up and going to school while worrying about make-up and usual girl stuff, this a metal song after all 🤘 There's an Air Dance version of this, with the girls dancing in front of the camera in this same room. There's also a funny commentary vid made by the girls telling us more details about the backstage on this song. You can enjoy the live version of this with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 and after Budokan 2014, they also performed this at Budokan 2021 celebrating their 10 years and last year they introduced the Metalverse era with this song performing and introducing some big surprise. I'm gonna leave in my next comment where to get more original clips safe to react if YT allows me to do it. Meanwhile next suggestion: - Headbanger!! live at Legend 19997 (2013) Thanks for sharing this and see you next time. 🦊🤘🔥

What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until last year unlike the other one with full updates till this year. ruclips.net/video/9X5vj1-Sg_4/видео.htmlsi=icqbG22Ysw0Pc-Ll 🦊🤘
Great reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL. I already consider the "not what I was expecting" reaction a win, haha... No one was expecting this when it first came out in 2010 (except for Koba, the mind behind this madness). They are very diverse musically since they like to mix any music genre with metal and no two songs sound alike. So, always expect the unexpected. 😁 Enjoy your BABYMETAL journey. 🤘🦊
Welcome to the foxhole, there is no escape, Waite till you see them live, Su-metal controls an audience like no other and the audience is truly a part of the show from start to finish.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction. BABYMETAL past performances have been good, but their current live is also the best, and I'm sure you'll like "Monochrome Live at Pia Arena." I strongly recommend it🤟
Welcome to the wonderful world of happy metal that is Babymetal.❤ Shock, awe and confusion are normal for first time exposure to Babymetal, but as long as you can keep an open mind, you will always be surprised (always expect the unexpected) and delighted. Doki Doki ⭐ Morning was my first exposure to Babymetal as well, and I honestly thought it was someone's idea of a satire video and did not take it seriously. It was only after seeing the live videos for Road of Resistance and Headbangeeer!!! that I realized they were a real act and fell in deep into the Foxhole. 🤘🦊🤘 If you come across a Babymetal song you don't like, it is okay to respectfully say so. The ONE (Babymetal's fanbase) are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people in the world, but like any fanbase can become quite rabid if they feel their Queen and Princesses are being disrespected. #notacult. 😊 All that said, here is my wall 🧱 of (un)important information about Babymetal.... BABYMETAL started in 2010 as an experimental sub-unit of the larger JPop/JRock group Sakura Gakuin. Babymetal are: Suzuka Nakamoto\Su-Metal (Vocals and Dance): Angel of Song, Queen Su, Queen of Kawaii, Metal Queen, and Metal Goddess. Before Sakura Gakuin, she performed in a stage production of "The Adventurers" and was a member of the JPop trio, Karen Girls. Fun Fact: Bullfrogs are her Kryptonite Yui Mizuno\Yuimetal (Scream and Dance) Left the group in 2018 due to undisclosed health issues: Angel of Dance, Princess Yui, Yui-bot, Tomato Princess, Tomato-Kun, Kawaii Princess and Devourer of Souls (or at least she stares into your soul). Yui had a minor role as a child actor in a Japanese TV Drama before joining Sakura Gakuin. She has cute, chubby cheeks. Fun Fact: Yui is tickled by Bullfrogs. ** WARNING ** Do NOT, ever, under any circumstances call her “small”, "smol", “short” or “tiny” (same rule applies to Moametal). Moa Kikuchi\Moametal (Scream and Dance): Angel of Love\Smile, Queen of Hearts, Princess Moa, Kawaii Princess, Super Moa-chan, Best Metal, Maiden of Mischief, and Headmistress of Hedabon. She has huge dimples and a smile that melts the hardest of hearts. Fun Fact: Loves to troll Su-metal on-stage with little pranks as well as torment Su-metal with Bullfrogs. Momoko Okazaki\Momometal (Scream and Dance): Angel of Joy, Kawaii Princess, Princess Peach, Momo-Monster, Vampire Slayer, Kabuki Queen. Also a Sakura Gakuin graduate. Was a contestant on the Korean reality survival program "Girls Planet 999" (which thankfully for The ONE, she was eliminated from early on) and performed in a stage musical production of "Black Butler". Momoko was the only “Avenger” (see below) to perform in the “10 BABYMETAL Budokan” shows in 2021 and was officially named Momometal and made a permanent member in April 2023. She deserves the spot! Fun Fact: Momoko's father is a popular comedian in Japan known for making dead-pan jokes. Momoko worked very hard to make her way without using his name as a crutch. BLACK BABYMETAL: Yuimetal and Moametal performing as a duet while Su-metal takes a breather. Also known as “MoiMoi”. There are 4 BBM songs (GJ!, Onedari Daiskusen, 4 No Uta\Song 4, and Sis. Anger) some of which Moametal performed solo a few times after Yui's departure. Now that Momometal is a member, we are hoping for more BBM songs with MoMoa! But only the Fox God knows. AVENGERS: 3 Dancers who took turns performing the choreography in Yuimetal’s spot after her departure. They were not official members did not have microphones and were not even named. It was the fans who quickly figured out who they were and you will see them in live performances between 2018 and 2021. They were: Momoko Okazaki (see above). Riho Sayashi: Suzuka’s former rival at Actors School Hiroshima, often competing for the same roles. Former “Ultimate Ace” of the JPop Idol group Morning Musume. Now a solo artist. Kano Fujihara: Former Member of Sakura Gakuin, the school-aged Idol group that BABYMETAL was born out of. Like Suzuka and Moa before her, Kano was Student Council President her last year in Sakura Gakuin and like Yui, was considered arguably the best dancer in SG during her time there. She is now a member of the Idol group @onefive, which is comprised of 4 Sakura Gakuin graduates (Kano, Momo, Soyo and Gumi). Kano only performed with BABYMETAL in Japan as she could not travel, likely due to her commitments to Sakura Gakuin and the then developing @onefive. We are #notacult. Kitsune Da O! 🤘🦊🤘
What a wonderful reaction. I recently discovered Babymetal too and am totally hyped. Personally I prefer the older songs (Doki Doki Morning (the cutest of all), Megitsune, Pa Pa Ya, Headbanger, Road of Resistance). I absolutely recommend to watch the live versions of these songs. Headbanger has 3 special versions - Yuibanger, Moabanger, Momobanger) where not the main singer Su-Metal sings from start to end but the others take over. A must watch for me is Headbanger and Road of Resistance at Legend 97 (celebrating Su-Metals 16. birthday in 2013). It is unbelievable how far they got from Doki Doki Morning to that. Also I want to recommend another group. 2 years ago the band "Electric Callboy" wanted to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest for us (Germany) but have not been allowed. But they made their way and I highly recommend to start with "Hypa Hypa", "We got the moves" or the cover to Cascadas version of "Everytime we touch". In the comment section people often mentioned Babymetal. That's how I found my way to them. Babymetal absolutely raises your mood. And I can guarantee you, Electric Callboy will too.
Great reaction. It takes a bit to wrap your head around what Babymetal does, it is so unique. Everybody goes through that stage. This song was their first one, and it took a bit for them to find a sound and get confident to go heavy. You should check out some of their later stuff. The Baby in Babymetal is not related to age; it signifies something new, a new style of heavy metal. Which it certainly is.
Better buckle up, because from here on it's going to be a wild and fantastic journey! 🤭🤘🏻🦊 Little hint: The name does not refer to their age, but to the birth of a new metal subgenre they created with the combination of kawaii/idols and metal. 😉 _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it."_ ※ Band-Maid ※ Gacharic Spin ※ Lovebites ※ Nemophila ※ East of Eden ※ Hanabie ※ Asterism ※ Trident ※ etc.
After watching your first babymetal song: not what I was expecting, but I like it. After watching your 20th babymetal songs: still not what i was expecting, but i like it. They have huge variety of styles and genre, you can't pigeon hole them. Enjoy your journey into the foxhole.
First BM thing I ever saw and I was instantly hooked although I assumed it was a gimmick, ther potential was obvious. Then I saw them live..... Great reaction!
Hello Princess Sofi, po! I hope you are having a wonderful trip. I really do miss picking on you in real time, so I'm looking forward to you arriving home safely and soon. Please take very good care of yourself and say hello to Faro and you mom for me.
You are not weird, this is pretty much the typical reaction when people see Babymetal for the first time 🤣 The first opinion is usually "WTF?" But then, neurons in the brain start to rewire. After a while, you watch it again and boom.... you are in the Foxhole and can't get enough 😆 Beliefe me, I have been there, too 😉
@@pubsapass1214 Don't feel bad - it's a common mistake just about everybody makes. I attribute the error to two things: first, the type font used is a problem - an upper case "i" looks like a lower case "L" (I=i, l=L); second, almost everyone seems to forget that about 99.999% of titles begin with an upper case letter. If it makes you feel any better, even BABYMETAL's official RUclips channel has got it wrong. ruclips.net/video/xk2MW2g5c7k/видео.htmlsi=t93JxLtQUieEzeRm KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
This was first recorded in 2010 as part of the Sakura Gakuin project, they were the Heavy Music Club, with the video being produced on a very small budget in 2011. In the video Su is 13 and Yui & Moa 12. Obviously they went on to be the huge phenomena they are today but it's always fun to see where it all began and they still perform this live today with pretty much the same choreography. There's also a version featuring Metalverse.
Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘 Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Download, Sonisphere, Glastonbury, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they released a new amazing album last year and they just finished a world tour where they had many shows here in the US. They also recently released a new music video for their song called "Metali" that features Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello. 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction, Sofi! It is absolutely normal to feel the way you feel, lol! The only thing you can expect from Babymetal is the unexpected and it only gets better from here. I can't wait to see more! Kitsune Up! 🤘🦊🤘 I hope you are having fun on your trip! Stay safe!
I'm Japanese. Thank for your great reaction. BABYMETAL's members are famous star (acting in TV. CM. etc) in Japan from when a child. The agency they work for is the largest listed entertainment company in Japan and has many stars. It is very difficult to get into this office, and female applicants need to be exceptionally beautiful, first of all. Many stars have been with the company since childhood and take various lessons from leading instructors, such as dancing, singing, acting, etc., and usually become an actress. And among them, a small number of people with high singing ability (like the lead vocal of BABYMETAL : Suzuka Nakamoto) becomes a musician. This is because it is extremely rare for a person to have both a beautiful appearance like an actress and a high singing ability. We can see many videos of her singing song since when elementary school on RUclips. BABYMETAL was created to make use of her talent in 2010(When she was 13years old). Now she is often selected as one of the top rock singers in the world by famous music magazines in the United Kingdom and is called 'Queen' in the metal fandam. When Babymetal song is voted in popularity by Japanese, 'Akatsuki' usually comes in first place.😀
Great reaction and welcome to Babymetal! My first time (Gimme Chocolate, then this song): OMG, WTF, no way I’ll listen this kind of music. 1 year later, while doing house chores: “RING RING RING!! Ohayo Wake Up!!” 🕺 Yea, they’re my favorite band now. Babymetal is the most addicting musical drug, get ready! Suggestions: *iine (Official MV):* Their 2nd song ever, dial up the “WTF” factor to 1000. *Metali (Official Live):* 13 years after Doki Doki Morning’s recording, 4 albums, and 10+ years of world tours later, in Nov 2023. Fun festival song. *Megitsune (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* The song they played the most live (~340+ times sonce 2013). Still slaps, and even better now the gals are mid-20s. *Headbanger (Legend 1997):* Dec 2013 show celebrating lead Su-metal’s sweet 16th. The quintessential Babymetal sound. Look forward to more Babymetal!! 🤘🦊
@@FaroSofi Haha, can’t wait! By the way, it’s iine (2 “i”s). Pronounced “ee-neh”, meaning, “so good!” It’s okay, everybody screws this up. So much so, even Spotify listed the song as “Line!” Lol.
@@FaroSofi As I mentioned in my comment, it isn't "Line", it is "Iine!" - the letter "i" twice (upper case then lower case) followed by an "n" and "e", and pronounced "E-nay". 🤘🦊🤘
And we see how dire their money situation was. They even hadvto loan clothes from friends to have matching costumes. And the baby bones that they used to let the people notvrealize that they were mainly worked to backing tapes.. And to be precise the video production itself showed to the girls that he meant wgat he askedvthem to do. They had to open malls and department stores for him toe earn money for real concerts. The video was sold in extremly limited numbers on dvd. And in fact the main argument by Amuse to the girls was "He has no money!" They only changed their policy when Suzuka had to leave Sakura Gakuin and suddenly they were ready to finance Babymetal directly. But Su really loves this shock effects. They often enough were positive for them It took them quite some timr till they were capable to finance a real backing band.. But they were a long way from financing big ceawlers that carry portable stages + Equipment and a fleet of camera drones.
They basically proved that you don't need a massive budget to be successful, only great talent💞 Also very happy that everything worked out at the end for them😊
@@FaroSofi Good Groups can work accordingvto the show. In Japan they arevin a stringent schedule because everyone has to know what happens next but on smaller shows (4000- 5000 guests) Moa and Momo, they look their guests in the eyes to understand what the guests are doing and from time to time they take their Headsets out to Listen how parts of the audience are going. Do they follow Our guides. And that us how they create such a tight audience reaction it is no fault of their guests if they cant speak japanese but they look you in the eye but they show you what you have to do. As an example in New York the order was given sit down. But on the ground there was not enough room they wouldbhave tobsit in the lass of strangers (a big no no if 40% of your guests are female) and in the case of elerly people, zhey might get down but how and when do they get up? Su got really aggressive since in her ryes they didn't follow her Orders but Moa and Momo signaled to her that is fine, continue. The result, after this show the callout was changed to get low, "We don't care if you sit but allow the people behind you watch the stage." Moa and Momo are Su's Micromanagers. She doesn't have the time but Moa and Momo have parts of their performance where they can make time to praktisch each other or react abd interact with their audience. That is something normal dancers don't learn but it was a part of Moa's Show and itvwas a significant part of what she taught Momo. Follow your own schedule. You must not break the show but the audience will react and Pick up changes and if you Lauch and they Lauch you did your job. This was mainly a part of European and US shows, but they obviously try to put it into their japanese shows to. They have learned that several ofvtheir fans don't see the show forvthevfirst time and they react to changes quite positively. It were originally small Private pranks between Su and Moa and Koba was no Fan of these interactions. But Moa didn't feel threatened and started to build these elementsvinto her repoirtoire and she obviosly played rank with Momo ("You do what I tell you, don't worry about this old Grumpy Cat.") And since they are all Metals they follow their own instincts they stood a very significant partvof their lives on stage. They can handle their audiences and Koba knows this.
Wonderful first reaction to BABYMETAL! Doki Doki Morning was literally their first single, released in 2011.... so you've got 13 years of BABYMETAL output to go through! It will be a fascinating journey for you: all their songs are different.Their live performances are much better, so here's another early song "Catch Me if You Can" Live 2014 ruclips.net/video/ZPYimKmxW0g/видео.html It has an amazing instrumental intro! Please react.......? :)
The “I was not expecting this” and “WTF did I just watch” are the typical reactions among first-time BABYMETAL viewers. A lot of their songs tend to get that - even after watching a number of them! Anyway . . . . You’ve opened a can of worms! BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" [DONE] and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of these recommended songs (along with suggested versions): Doki Doki Morning (official music video) [DONE] Iine! (official MV) Gimme Chocolate!! For the links, see the RUclips playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty”; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014). There are playlists for both on the HEAD123456 RUclips channel. Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
Thank you so much for taking the time write everything up, I have added all the recommended songs on my list, and am very excited to get through all of them💞
Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 As you already know, this was their very first song, but it is even longer ago than you thought.
The name was chosen for two reasons:
- to symbolise that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal)
- because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is nearly identical to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love a pun):
BABYMETAL = ベビーメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru)
heavy metal = ヘビーメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru)
There is nobody quite like BABYMETAL.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 💓 ⏰
This song covers all of those traditional Heavy Metal themes, like waking up excited for a new day at school, and deciding on your lip gloss and cute hairstyle for the day. : )
Pretty much everything that followed was because the music video for this song unexpectedly blew up.
Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey.🦊🤘🔥
Rare first time reaction for a BM song but it makes sense to start this amazing journey just like many fans did like me when they have no other songs around but this.
They are:
*SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26.
About this song:
Doki Doki MORNING is where everything started, they got 11 and 12 yo when the group was created in 2010 with this song but the official MV (Edit version) was released a year later, so almost 14 years since this song came out. The girls look so young i myself was thinking they got less than 10 yo when I met them with this song around that time.
The backing band you saw here are hired actors called "baby-bones", you'll see them performing live during early shows until 2014, after that Kami Band took their places as a real band on stage.
They're singing about waking up and going to school while worrying about make-up and usual girl stuff, this a metal song after all 🤘
There's an Air Dance version of this, with the girls dancing in front of the camera in this same room.
Meanwhile next suggestion:
- Headbanger!! live at Legend 19997 (2013)
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time. 🦊🤘🔥
Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
- Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.
ruclips.net/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/видео.html
- Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo.
ruclips.net/video/g2372C5PJLM/видео.html
- Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/dU38CYkpBvI/видео.html
- Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997.
ruclips.net/video/nwsinmxTxbo/видео.html
- Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one.
ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html
- Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/видео.html
- Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do.
ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html
- Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs.
ruclips.net/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/видео.html
- Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
ruclips.net/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/видео.html
- Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.
ruclips.net/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/видео.html
If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
ruclips.net/video/ESzY9dL613Q/видео.html
- Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
ruclips.net/video/1dT1ywYR5So/видео.html
- Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
ruclips.net/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/видео.html
- Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
ruclips.net/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/видео.html
- Road Of Resistance live in Japan official live MV, be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
ruclips.net/video/zTEYUFgLveY/видео.htmlsi=BsVOSExS25Qndy1H
- Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
ruclips.net/video/M8FKumvh-w8/видео.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
- GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
ruclips.net/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/видео.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
ruclips.net/video/q40VmTHSh4c/видео.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one).
ruclips.net/video/aIb2xEthdSg/видео.htmlsi=EnEYU4nN3tuiY3WL
There's a beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until last year unlike the other one with full updates till this year.

Thank You so much for all the information and video recommendation, it really means alot💞
Can't wait to start my journey of BabyMetal😊 Very excited!!!
Enjoy your BABYMETAL journey.
🤘🦊
Welcome to the foxhole, there is no escape, Waite till you see them live, Su-metal controls an audience like no other and the audience is truly a part of the show from start to finish.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction. BABYMETAL past performances have been good, but their current live is also the best, and I'm sure you'll like "Monochrome Live at Pia Arena." I strongly recommend it🤟
I have added it to my list, I will be reacting to it soon💞
Welcome to BABYMETAL🤘🦊♪
Welcome to the wonderful world of happy metal that is Babymetal.❤
Shock, awe and confusion are normal for first time exposure to Babymetal, but as long as you can keep an open mind, you will always be surprised (always expect the unexpected) and delighted.
If you come across a Babymetal song you don't like, it is okay to respectfully say so. The ONE (Babymetal's fanbase) are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people in the world, but like any fanbase can become quite rabid if they feel their Queen and Princesses are being disrespected. #notacult. 😊
All that said, here is my wall 🧱 of (un)important information about Babymetal....
BABYMETAL started in 2010 as an experimental sub-unit of the larger JPop/JRock group Sakura Gakuin.
Babymetal are:
Suzuka Nakamoto\Su-Metal (Vocals and Dance): Angel of Song, Queen Su, Queen of Kawaii, Metal Queen, and Metal Goddess.
Before Sakura Gakuin, she performed in a stage production of "The Adventurers" and was a member of the JPop trio, Karen Girls.
Fun Fact: Bullfrogs are her Kryptonite
Yui Mizuno\Yuimetal (Scream and Dance) Left the group in 2018 due to undisclosed health issues: Angel of Dance, Princess Yui, Yui-bot, Tomato Princess, Tomato-Kun, Kawaii Princess and Devourer of Souls (or at least she stares into your soul).
They were:
Momoko Okazaki (see above).
Thank you very much for taking the time to write everything up, I really love reading all these informative comments😊
Happy to see Anya and Babymetal on the same screen.
Little hint: The name does not refer to their age, but to the birth of a new metal subgenre they created with the combination of kawaii/idols and metal. 😉

After watching your 20th babymetal songs: still not what i was expecting, but i like it.
They have huge variety of styles and genre, you can't pigeon hole them. Enjoy your journey into the foxhole.
👍 👍 👍 BABYMETAL is timeless. Joy/Happiness never goes out of style. A very fun MV.🦊🦊🦊 🖖 ❤
First BM thing I ever saw and I was instantly hooked although I assumed it was a gimmick, ther potential was obvious. Then I saw them live..... Great reaction!
More BABYMETAL please!🤘🦊🤘
Hello Princess Sofi, po! I hope you are having a wonderful trip. I really do miss picking on you in real time, so I'm looking forward to you arriving home safely and soon. Please take very good care of yourself and say hello to Faro and you mom for me.
You are not weird, this is pretty much the typical reaction when people see Babymetal for the first time 🤣
The first opinion is usually "WTF?" But then, neurons in the brain start to rewire. After a while, you watch it again and boom.... you are in the Foxhole and can't get enough 😆 Beliefe me, I have been there, too 😉
I'm huge fan of BM, but with Doki Doki, i'm still stuck on "WTF?". And same with Line 🙂
I can't get it out of my head, the song really did grow on me and I don't hate it😂
@@pubsapass1214 It isn't "Line", it is "Iine!" - the letter "i" twice followed by "n" and "e" and pronounced "E-nay". 🤘🦊🤘
@@Filboid2000 Thank you for the correction, how didn't i notice that ! 😁
If it makes you feel any better, even BABYMETAL's official RUclips channel has got it wrong. ruclips.net/video/xk2MW2g5c7k/видео.htmlsi=t93JxLtQUieEzeRm
KITSUNE UP!!!
Kitsune Up! 🤘🦊🤘
I hope you are having fun on your trip!
Wow, I had no idea how the music industry in Japan works, so thank you very much for all the information💞
Also, that is very impressive of them
Great reaction and welcome to Babymetal!
My first time (Gimme Chocolate, then this song): OMG, WTF, no way I’ll listen this kind of music.
1 year later, while doing house chores: “RING RING RING!! Ohayo Wake Up!!” 🕺
Yea, they’re my favorite band now.
Babymetal is the most addicting musical drug, get ready!
Suggestions:
*iine (Official MV):* Their 2nd song ever, dial up the “WTF” factor to 1000.

Hi Hi 안녕하세요!!!
Just keep reacting, you will love them more and more!
They often enough were positive for them
It took them quite some timr till they were capable to finance a real backing band.. But they were a long way from financing big ceawlers that carry portable stages + Equipment and a fleet of camera drones.
They basically proved that you don't need a massive budget to be successful, only great talent💞
Also very happy that everything worked out at the end for them😊
@@FaroSofi Good Groups can work accordingvto the show.
BABYMETAL is both the name of the group and the name of a new subgenre.
It means a newly created genre.
that is so awesome😊

After Doki Doki ☆ Morning comes Uki Uki ★ Midnight !! !!
Wonderful first reaction to BABYMETAL! Doki Doki Morning was literally their first single, released in 2011.... so you've got 13 years of BABYMETAL output to go through! It will be a fascinating journey for you: all their songs are different.Their live performances are much better, so here's another early song "Catch Me if You Can" Live 2014 ruclips.net/video/ZPYimKmxW0g/видео.html
It has an amazing instrumental intro! Please react.......? :)
I will definitely be catching up to all their songs, I have also added your recommended song on my list and will be reacting soon😊
Nothing sounds less like Babymetal than Doki Doki 😂😂
Definitly not the song to listen first to imagine what BM is.
Nice reaction 🤘🦊🦊I would like to recommend you the song "Rondo of Nightmare" by BABYMETAL😆
I have added it to my list, I will be reacting to it soon💞
Great first reaction👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾
Great reaction friend
🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
Funny reaction, this band is a real shock to begin with.
You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of these recommended songs (along with suggested versions):
Doki Doki Morning (official music video) [DONE]
Iine! (official MV)
Gimme Chocolate!! (official MV or Legend 1997 Apocalypse version)
Megitsune (official MV)
BABYMETAL Death (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) [for those who are religiously sensitive, see the Budokan Black Night 2014 version]
Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version)
Song 4 No Uta (Budokan Black Night 2014 version)
Uki Uki * Midnight (Budokan Black Night 2014 version)
Catch Me If You Can (Budokan Black Night 2014 version)
Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Live at Sonisphere 2014 version)
Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version)
Road of Resistance (Legend 2015 New Year Fox Festival version)
Karate (official MV)
Meta Taro (Five Fox Festival version)
GJ! (Fox Festival 2017 version)
Sis Anger (Fox Festival 2017 version)
Shanti Shanti Shanti (official MV)
Pa Pa Ya!! (official MV)
BxMxC (official MV)
Metalizm (official MV)
Metali!! (official MV)
I would include the links but, for some reason, RUclips sometimes thinks I'm posting spam and will delete my comment.
(You're in for a wild ride!!!)
Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!)
KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
