I agree with you. Unlike gouache or watercolor and even oil, the gap in quality between student grade and professional grade acrylics is too small that professional grade seems like a scam.
Both paintings are beautiful! I can really see how freer and bolder you were with your colours and strokes in the acrylics which matches the dynamic movie scene! But also love the subtlety and softness of the second painting! It’s interesting to see how a gifted artist like yourself can adapt painting styles to different mediums :)
As someone who doesn't use acrylics, I never realized the shiny component you discussed, but in comparing your pieces its so apparent! Good to know if I ever take that leap. Great impromptu comparison, and really cool painting results!
Yay more movie scenes! It's cool seeing a painting of something as universally familiar as a good film. And both of these are great movies. The Dark Knight one is my fav, the energy in it really suits the scene and the painting style you used works excellent with city lights. I'm doing two scenes right now, one from The Mandalorian and one scene from The Haunting of Bly Manor :)
if you used a glass palet or any straight surface instead of paper is way more better. you want even lose any paint while mixing I suggest a glass palet or a wood palet they are the same but the glass is way more esyer to clean it. and I don't need to say any about the vid.. your paintings are always amazing
I still haven't used my regular gouche yet but I will try it out today on a sketch of a movie/TV shoe scene. I really need to get back into art and eventually into drawing original concepts. Watching these vids helps me overcome anxiety 😅. Edit: I loved the way talk about the movies you love! Could you do more movie based art so we can hear more about what you liked about them?
Ik this is supposed to be about your artwork, but both of these movies are each in a favorite category for one thing or another. But seeing them in your art style is breathtaking!! Thank you for sharing this c:
I can relate to the feeling like "omg am I writing something offensive?" I speak Japanese at a business level, so I usually dont have any doubts. The other day for a friend's birthday I made a mahjong themed cake, with tiny pieces. The kanji were so tiny I just randomly made strokes with a tiny red frosting tip all willy-nilly. In the end, I gave the cake to my friend and he thought I wrote the kanji for "DIE!" on one of them!!! lol
i find it hard to sculpt in acrylics. even though you can layer it, the layer beneath affects how the top layer shows. acrylics is now my main medium, still adjusting so thanks for showing your process of it!
Hi, Ate. When you do goauche paintings, do you use any clear varnish to have a layer of protection from the elements so that the painting will not be ruined as time passes? Thank u po✨
Cool. Just I don't understand why if the acrilic guache can be reactivated it permit to be glazed. Can You elaborate here more on this? Thank you Have a nice evening
acrylic gouache cannot be reactivated.. it is basically acrylic paint with a matte finish ... traditional gouache can be d reactivated .. hope that helps ..
@@arcuda2001 @arcuda2001 Yeah, what I also thought. But in this video... ... Anyway, thanx to Your replay. Appreciated. Too many youtubers does not care enuff into replay at the comments. But this is another topic. Have a nice evening.
Just wanted to say that instead of applying the Matt Medium directly to the paint your using to then mixi it in, you just need to paint your whole piece, and once you have finished and is dry, seal the painting with the Matt Medium and it will be matt. Adding the Matt Medium directly to your paint is no effective. But even if it were effetive, you'll never gonna add the same amount to each color to make the accurate matt medium/paint ratio. Another thing to consider is that when you paint with different brands, (sometimes even within the same brand) some colors are glossier than others, and the end result ain't nice. One can actually see the difference in the shine amd it disrupts the whole painting. That is easily fixed as I said, by sealing the painting with the Matt Medium. And for those who prefer a shinny finish instead of matt, they can achieve an uniform look, by using Gloss Medium instead of matt. 😉
That’s a good question 😭 there’s a couple of reasons but the best one is i dont like how acrylics ruin my brushes when i forget to wash them. My palettes get very hard to clean too
Definitely do not relate to the difference between student and artist acrylics being small After a run-in with bad student acrylics (tho I have also used decent ones), I think I'll get low artist's grade primarys when trying new media

I was hesitant to say that because i thought it was just my inexperience showing! So glad you think so also ❤️

I could watch you paint all day! You're incredibly talented!
Golden has a Super Matte Medium that'll get you the Acryla Gouache look! Super loaded Matte medium is another name for it. It's great.

Thank you for doing this, it’s nice to see the difference between the two acrylic mediums side by side. Your paintings were great too.
I loved it! Incredible!

Super cool to see the details emerge in such small paintings! I like how both turned out. Acryla-goauche is on my list of mediums to try, too. 😀

Immm suchh a bigg fann ahh i hope u notice me someday😊
Hello! Thank you for watching my videos ❤️
both came out good...if acrylics dries too fast you can use Liquitex Fluid Medium and a little bit of a retarder and a wet palette.
What type of camera did you used to record?
excited
Amazing 👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷
Well, since the acrylic gouache use acrylics as a binding, it's the same as acrylic paints 😅😅😅😅😅😮
Can you do a full length video i dont really know how to paint faces and stuff so please
I loved it 🤡💜💜
Can you please paint harry potter scenes again 😄

If its so easy liberating why don't you use acrylics more than gouache?
