@@OfficialWhip That disastrous last week of the season seemed to wake the Rangers up. I haven't seen them playing this well since June and July. This is a team, when healthy, that would have won 100 games itself. The 90 win record is very deceptive. They were basically a 100+ win team that suffered tons of injuries to like 5 or 6 different all star players.
Been a Ranger fan since 07 when my dad passed away, they were his favorite team. I was there during the 2 World Series runs and the disappointment that followed, then we get some hopes again in 16 and then immediately lose to Toronto. At the start of the 17 season I bought a Rangers wristband and went to the season opener which we lost and began a long stretch of losing baseball for the team, but I never gave up on them. Ive kept that wristband on and have not taken it off ever since that day because I knew even at their lowest, one day they would be back on top. It is now my superstition item and I will be there at home to watch them once they take on the ALCS. I know they will take everything that belongs to them! For this team, for Bochy, all the fans who stuck around and all of the ones we lost along the way that continue to cheer for up above, LET’S FREAKING GO RANGERS!!!

This is why we dont have a championship. Man, this team is white hot. Baltimore never had a chance to get going this series and Texas just dominated them in all aspects of the game. Evo was lights out and is a beast in the postseason. The offense exploded once again with El Bombi getting in the mix this time and Lowe finally getting him a big hit. Garver by far is the MVP of this series and is just straight raking. The Rangers were a team that people thinking were gonna get swept out of the playoffs or be the first ones out. I guess they proved them wrong by going undefeated and doing the sweeping and the first ones in the CS. Keep shocking the world Rangers! #TRFL
As a Yankees fan, it’s scary to see how good the O’s are. They had a fantastic season. I expect them to be in the playoffs again. Hats off to the Rangers! Always nice to see some fresh blood advance deep into the postseason.

I've got to hand it to the Oriole fans. They were cheering loud and hard the first two games at home no matter what. There's a lot of spirit in them. I'm glad my Rangers are moving on, but I wish Baltimore all the luck next season. On a side note, was anyone else REALLY annoyed at this announcing crew? I thought they were supposed to be an impartial national crew, but it was ALL Orioles ALL the time with them. Even when the Rangers were winning 7-1 on their way to the sweep all they could talk about was how good this Baltimore team is...
The Texas rangers only ever won 2 home games that entire post-season. Game 1 of the World Series and game 3 of the alds. I was EXTREMELY fortunate to go see game 3 with my dad. He always paid for the tickets so I thought I could do the same this time. I hesitated though because If I bought the tickets I would be short on money for bills and what not. But I thought “fuck it, this will probably be my only time I get to do this.” So I went anyway. suffice to say it was MONEY WELL SPENT!
dude i'm sick of the "heater" narrative building around this team. In every capacity thus far they have dominated their competition winning 5 straight post season games against the inflated records of the East with their softer schedules. Their bullpen blew double digit games in the ninth inning even if they got half those games back they'd be close to 100 wins on the regular season. They are the real deal and all we can do is sit back and enjoy it, like Jacob deGrom.

I remember as a kid standing outside the old ballpark in Arlington. Waiting for a chance to see Steve Buchell, or Raphael Palmerio, The players would come out to the fence and sign autographs. I have a pic of Palmerio in the batters box turned around facing me posing before he bats....

They're pretty good. The lineup is on par with those teams, the starting pitching was a wee bit better back then, but if Max and Gray come back it's a push. The pen then was way better, but right now this pen is pitching lights out. They're better defensively now. Love Wash and always will, but I'll take Boch over him just because of the experience and resume.

As a Rangers fan, I don't know, we were 4-9 this year against them, and last 2 times we played them, it was disaster, last series with the blowout sweep, and the series before that with Jonah Heim getting injured. If we do play Houston, which we probably will, we need to play perfect if we want to have a chance.
