This town is proof that Hyrule will have a bright future.
The ending of the game too
Yes, BotW 2 will have more towns
Once Calamity Ganon is finally slayed of coarse
I agree
I can’t wait for BOTW 2
This is the song that makes me feel that people on this earth really do care about each other
loved your comment... damn right!

tbh i feel like building tarrey down is just as if not more important and influential as defeating ganon. defeating ganon restores balance and the hyrulean monarchy yeah, but that’s just a beginning step
tarrey town directly affects the people of hyrule and directly helps with rebuilding the world. it’s the only town that isn’t dominated by a single race of people. tarrey town is a sort of beacon of hope and a new hub for multiculturalism and diversity
That was an observation I made! It's the first town in Zelda in which all races live equally! Such a milestone honestly and it's weird that I didn't see it earlier that racism is literally explored with the older Zora
Telling, however, that instead of race being a unifier a new one takes its place. In this case it’s a meme, having “son” in the surname, but it remains insightful.
@@cameronreyno7175 old zoras = racist
thats true
Who is ganon?😂😂😂
I love how the OST is a mix of instruments from all the races in the game: Hyrulian, Rito Goron, Zora, and Gerudo. Makes the world feel perfect with all of them coexisting like this in harmony.
I loved this side quest. I think it was more rewarding than beating ganon or doing the champion's ballad! The theme is the best part, though. It incorperates all of the major region's themes into its own, and everyone has such a lively, friendly vibe walking around the town as it plays. I love the dogs and children running around. Nintendo, I really want to see Tarrey Town in the sequel!
50 wood, 4200 rupees, and talking to probably everyone in each race's city for this quest was *definitely* worth it. I now have a solid green rectangle south of Tarrey Town on my hero's path from me flying there via the Dah Hesho Shrine. Somewhat of a rectangle for the Fairy Fountain too.
One of the greatest side quests of all time.
This is one of the very few sidequests in the franchise that shows how a positive influence Link can be for others (if you decide to take the quest):
-Bolson company expanded
-A lot of people unsatisfied with the current state of their lives got a chance to shine (and be appreciated too)
-As the town grows, it slowly becomes populated, showing that Hyrule is still recovering from the Calamity and has a chance to flourish again in the future.
-Finally, a fully functional town sets
-A couple gets married (Impliying that Hudson becomes the mayor, sort of)
-And (hilariously), a tradition is born (the -son naming)
I loved this sidequest
And it would be nice that we can see this in the sequel (or as a DLC interquel at least)
Imagine walking around BoTW's sequel just to find an enemy camp called "Tarrey Town Ruins"
I’d literally cry
I'd cry like a bitch no questions asked
Ouch thats dark
Lol
I was thinking the same thing! Ugh, I would lose it!
In my opinion the legend of zelda botw had the best Village music in the series and the this track tells why
Ordon ranch from twilight princess
I could listen to this song for forever. I wish we had background music that would play in our lives. This is exactly what I would choose! At least for most of the time.
never have i felt so proud of performing so much deforestation with bombs
I'm severely depressed... after 30 secs I'm OK
Stay determined, stranger
Ok boomer
@@ababan497 why was that necessary?
Let's get better together... Sending strength
Bruh Moment
Question: Doesn't the song gain a new leitmotif when a new race enters the village? Like, you can hear the tune from Gerudo Town, the Brass from Goron City, and the flute from Rito Village, but wheres the Zora motif? It's still a great song, but I can't hear the Zora motif...
Goron : Brass + xylophone arpeggios
Gerudo : Sitar arpeggios
Rito : Flute
Zora : subtle Guitar depth chords + violins
Hateno : alto wind instrument
harp and violins are zora
0:06 GERUDO TOWN HATENO MUSIC AT 0:35
Actually the Zora part in the Tarrey town song are the drums
@R L i think the bagpipes are from hateno itself coa the theme of hateno has bagpipes
what i love about this song is how they clearly took inspiration from Koji Kondo's Outset Island from Wind Waker... I hope that they either bring back Koji Kondo for BOTW 2 or they continue to draw inspiration from one of the greatest video game composers of all time
I hope in Botw 2 there will be more side quests like this showing towns being built or better yet all kinds of structures like seeing each race get a new home in Botw 2 would be so cool
i feel like there will be. i can imagine the player having to help people rebuild ruined towns in hyrule field and other places scattered across the map. possibly if you've built enough you can build castle town lol.
I'd love to as well, but idk man.. seems like they're going for a very dark tone this time around.. welp, hope never dies
Dont worry. There will be.
Lulirien village has a dedicated quest to rebuild the place with Bolson after you kill all the monsters
We all makes memes about Zelda screaming at Link to stop goofing off and come help her defeat the world-destroying demon already, but I like to think she was watching him help construct the first new town Hyrule’s seen since the Calamity with a smile on her face.
This quest was so satisfying to finish one of the best side quests in Zelda ever
What ever that low register, brass instrument is I love it. (Maybe trombone?)
Yep
i wanna say it probably has a mute in it too judging by that sound but i'm not sure
@@bittersweetvictory8541 I don't think there's a mute. I think the player just blasted his part and they turned down his track during mixing.
Tyler Garavaglia as a trombone player myself I can confirm that that is not a mute, and the musician probably just blew at the top of his lungs
it's a (possibly bass?) Trombone just using some growling techniques
You're a lifesaver. Thanks for this.
Haha,I get it
Agreed. He's a lifesaver.
...cant have a rainbow without reyn, after all.
I love how this song incorporates melodies and instruments used is some of the other major towns themes.
Tarred town is my favorite side quest in this game, something about all the work you can put into building a hidden town in the game is so fulfilling
I set this as my grandmas ring tone, i always love getting a call from her now
i hope Terry Town returns in Tears of the Kingdom
This aged well
Do do, do do, do do do do doooooooooo.
YOU AGAIN :D small internet, eh?
Hang in there, everything is going to be ok
Literally the song lol.
Whenever I'm down and stressed, I start this song. I'm listening to it on repeat while at work.
Building a minecraft town inspired by tarry town. Playing this to set the mood, so peaceful
I absolutely love the tiny bit of brass, it gives the same feeling as Goron City.
best side quest of all video games
Anytime someone says BotW has a bad soundtrack I point them to this song
i dont think anyone said (/will say) that...
@@AlShwan That was a very, very, very big complaint by a ton of people at launch and when I praise the soundtrack there are a not insignificant amount of people who still say it's one of the worst in the franchise

pipebomb
I don’t know how many others can actually live in Tarrey town, but I can my name ends in son
If you realize, it is played by the main instrument of their bgm where the different characters have stayed before.
Holy moly does it have all of the leitemoifs of the zora, Goron, gerudo and rito?!

Love the trombone here! :D
Not a fan myself. It doesn't fit well IMO. I think the track is otherwise perfect though.
The music in this game is amazing. The music and everything botw has is what makes it one of the greatest games of all time.
I love this town and music
I always found it interesting that "tarry" means to wait or to delay in acting, like the phrase "don't tarry," and that's what you do in "tarrey" town
i like the inclusion of the gerudo town motif and instruments
Same, and the Rito theme too. Great instrumentation in this score in general.
Anyone else hear the Dragon Roost Island Motif at 16:59 ? It's totally in there you can hear it.
it took you 17 minutes to notice that?
Does it concern the authorities?
When I heard it I knew it was from the Wind Waker! Thanks for refreshing my memory lol
You can tell they had fun with this piece
I'm getting Paper Mario: Color Splash Vibes here
This quest was my favorite because it addressed 2 of the major issues I had with BoTW:
It really reminded me of xenoblade chronicles in terms of how it affected the characters involved. A lot of the other quests in BOTW don't feel like they have any impact. Even if there's a reward, I never found my self low on rupees so it'd feel underwhelming.
It also had such a great song tied to it. Despite BoTW's greatness, I felt like it was lacking in the music department which was always my favorite part of the Zelda franchise.
billybobjoe it does have less music, but the queues for certain actions are definitely fun to listen to, along with songs like this of course
Honestly I felt like the music was perfect, even after playing OoT later on. It just fits this version of Hyrule so well. But I do agree about the side quest thing. This one was really memorable, and I love it
I feel like there were quite a few memorable quests but this is easily one of the best quests in any game, especially with how it starts off from another job that didn't hint to what would come next. I feel like a lot of Breath of the Wild side quests and music are very underrated compared to previous Zelda games which were really overrated. The Shrine Quests were generally good, except for some with Kass and the ones that were just finding the shrine that I managed to do before talking to the person anyway. I like how they don't even make the shrine free sometimes after all the work of getting in.
the fact you had problems with BoTW at all is well kinda i don't know how to put it...........
My only wishlist for botw is you can buy a house of whatever town of your liking for settlement and tarrey town is number one on my list
i love this song so muchhhhh
Please more of tarrey town in botw 2 I love it so much
Sometimes, I just stop into Tarrey Town to hang around and hear this song for a few minutes before or after sleeping / praying at Link's House in TOTK.
I love the gerudo part best
Agreed
This song should go on cassette! 📼
This song is the proof that Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece
if this is not played at my wedding then i dont want a wedding

Botw: Hold my master sword
I bet the only people who would say that are the diehard fans of Horizon Zero Dawn.
I don't think the music is bad in any way. I just found that a lot of the themes were forgettable. (With the exception of Tarrey town, Rito Village, Guardians battle, and hyrule castle.) I don't remember any of the combat themes or boss themes or any of the overworld themes. That's usually how it goes with more ambient music. They have to be paired with the game to get the full experience. But they're all good tracks and pair wonderfully with the gameplay, but i'm not really gonna be listening to the ost other than when i'm trying to sleep.
Ikr I love all the town themes it's just the overworld music that's a little lacking. It's not bad tho.
Jordan Gallant i remember mostly all of the themes but that's probably because I play it so often. :)

Dat trombone tho
instruction unclear, killed calamity ganon instead
I once read a fanfiction that started with the sentence 'Link looked around at the ruins of Tarrey Town'. This sentence was enough for me to not read the rest! I refuse to learn about a BotW world where Tarrey Town was destroyed, I only read a bit more to find out what happened to everyone, hoping that they escaped. WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE! It was described, how each one of the people we recruited for it was found dead and in how brutal ways they were killed. The saddest was the Gerudo. You learn that she was pregnant and literally the next sentence said she was burned alive in her house...
Might wanna skip out on Tears of the Kingdom then.
