You know Carl that is one of the most honest fishing videos that I have watched on RUclips! It takes a good man to admit and show that he has blanked. If the truth beknown I suspect that every single fisherman that has watched even just one video on RUclips has blanked at some time in their lives but I suspect that we would all have to trawl through an awful lot of videos before we found someone that admitted to and showed that they blanked! I raise my hat to you sir and hope to see many more of your honest and down to earth fishing videos! P.S. I have subscribed!

Amazing vlog carl another two great spots .penny point and my home town river the roach
Monsters on roach big brownies it's full of them. It was once a Salmon River before the industrial revolution choked the life out of it . Parents used warn there kids if they fell in they would loose limb's because they would fall office because it was so polluted . Nobody ever drowned nobody ever went in . But its a little gem of a river. Tip fishing on lob worms is key.

If your feeling the wilder side of fishing try tirlmere lake Cumbria some of the biggest perch you will ever catch chance of trout and pike also but perch it's the best water I've ever fished for perch.

You’re right about the rods , I tried Conti rods and they’re not bad in the right conditions but sometimes you need a bit more . Recently I spent a bit more than normal and got the new version of the Daiwa tournament pro surf and straight away you can feel the difference in casting and playing fish . I’d gone to get a 6 & bait or fireblade was shown the tournament aswell and once I’d looked at it just went for that . As far as lure fishing goes and I know some people will disagree but most copies are never quite the same , they might look the same but they don’t seem to fish the same and the quality is sometimes lacking . There are exceptions and the savage panic prey is a good cheaper version of the patchinko . I know people catch on the copies but personally I think it’s worth spending that bit extra and getting originals from the likes of ima , longin , duo and xorus etc for bass . Pike , perch and trout can be easier on the wallet unless you get into the jerkbaits and custom lures . My perch box pretty much consists solely of crazy fish nimbles in 1.6 - 2 & 2.5 inch sizes in various colours and my trout box solely of crazy fish nano minnows in 1.6 in various colours . They are all fished on bfs setups though with 2-3.5gm jigheads so you might need to adjust the sizes depending on what your rods cw is . For pike I do like jerkbaiting which can get very expensive but soft plastics like kopytos and the bigger nimbles are good as are some of the savage hardbaits . Are you still an albert member or just sea fishing now

No I left PA due to politics and I have to agree with everything you said about lures. It’s going to take me a while to get the originals. I bought the panic prey as you pointed out to after a recommendation and they seem ok.
      It’s a right learning curve isn’t it ..

@@Carlfishing I know what you mean with the Albert , if it wasn’t for the ribble I would’ve left ages ago . Pike and perch I’ve been doing for years but it’s my first year after bass this year and what I did was just buy a few at a time with just one of each lure and just keep adding every now and then , mainly from lure fishing for bass and the odd one from from mr fish in jersey and also Malcolm in abc when I’m down there . So far the ima hound glide 125f in cotton candy and ima sasuke 140 in sandbora are my favourites . The savage sandeel and sw pencils are good aswell . It’s just a case of trial and error at the minute deciding what to buy and which colours and what to avoid. If you’re ever up Morecambe have a look at Gerry’s , they’ve got ima , tacklehouse , shimano and savage etc . Have you tried that pump on the Fylde and if you have how are you getting on , I’m toying with getting one but I’ve never done it before and I’m assuming it’s a lot harder than it looks .

@@leen8939 I’ll take a trip up-to Gerry’s soon enough. I love the pump and it’s mostly luck on the day with worms. Tides and conditions equals effort.. I don’t buy worms anymore and that’s what equals reward. I only pump what I need too..
