Thanks for commenting. A small tornado caused by the airflow sucked into the air intake. Very rarely seen on rainy or damp days. It is a mysterious sight.

Quite wonderful if I do say!? I love and respect the Japanese people. Their military is very professional, and dedicated to the defense of their home. As an American, I can truly appreciate their passion for flying these magnificent aircraft. Such a good friend we have in Japan. １２年前の今日 ３月１１日夕刻前に３０５飛行隊（梅組）の２機が茨城県南端の町まで偵察に来てくれました。大きな被害が無いと確認されると２機は大きなバンクで百里へ戻って行きました。それを見ていた私も小学生の子供たちも有難うと手を振りました。あの時の梅組パイロットさん 有難う 今でも元気にしてるかな。
あの日、どこで何をしていたか 忘れる日本人はいないと思います。
そのパイロットの方もコックピットから見たあの日の光景をまた今日思い出しておられることでしょう。

もう少しで301sqが三沢基地に移動します。それに茨城空港で初めて見た戦闘機が梅組のF-15だったなぁ。（当時は小学校二年生）
もう一度あの頃の姿を見せてほしい。
そうなってしまうと、百里基地に残るのは救難隊を除き、三沢基地から部隊移動してきた第3飛行隊のみ。
