Limited in terms of part and color selection, yes. In terms of customization, I argue this has more depth than GX’s machine creator. The only thing that’s attached to your part selection is your weight. The machine’s stats and name are completely up to you, and you have more options for paint details like stripes, number color, and canopy color. In GX, your stats and your name are tied to your part choice, and while you can achieve some cool effects with clever decal placement, each body part only has one color option. It doesn’t help that a lot of the body parts just don’t mesh with each other well.
i think the reason for this is because they play other racing games that are realistic, so then u dont really need to turn that much and there isnt as much of a loss of speed.
Replacing other machines with a custom, I don't like the sound of that. I like what they did with GX how you saved it in a different slot. But the idea of this customizing on X is much better I think.
