- Industry giant (and good friend) Ren Ferguson has started his own guitar line with his son Tim, and we're here to help document the process! In fact, not only are we checking out their new factory, but we're actually designing 7 custom guitars to showcase on this channel!! Stay tuned for that upcoming content and thanks for watching!

Thank you for paying a visit at their shop. Ren, Tim and I worked together at the Guild Factory and I've learned so much from them and will never forget the amazing experience it was to learn from the best. His guitars are and will be the best guitars you will ever play and hear it.
What years was Ren at Guild?
Wow, guitars made by savior of Gibson acoustics.
I could never afford one but just hearing one would
be rewarding. Great video, thank you.
About time, Ren! Having worked with you for over a decade at Gibson I can honestly say, no one luthier on the planet builds a finer guitar!!!
Can't wait to see and hear the finished guitars! It's good to have Ren back doing his own thing - especially together with Tim.
What he did for Guild was a labor of love, literally brought it back and made it absolutely beautiful
Very nice! Thanks for sharing that, Paul!
I love the set up of Father and Son, and Ren sounds just like a dad, I wanted my son to do everything the hard way, the same way I learned - LOL, I can relate. Also loved the comment, this one is out of Brazilian, it was fun - great stuff! I look forward to seeing and hearing some of your guitars. I would love to own one of the B grade guitars you put out! Ren, I am glad to see you and your son making guitars!
Much success to you, that Ditson is a beautiful shape...great shop Thanks for the tour
I'm excited to see and hear all the great boxes that will come out of that shop. Ren is a great and now he can truly do what he wants. I love that his son is partnered there too. Great all around
All the best on a great endeavor!
Yes, the Ditson v interesting and remiscent of the few guitars that Stradivarius built (which you find only in museums) and you could say Strad knew a few things about tone and volume, e.g. get the midrange out, too!
Look keenly forward to more news and views on Ren and his son's output, it can only be superb..
Nicely done - more of this please.... 🤘🤠👍
I can't imagine such an undertaking! Exquisite craftsmanship. Personally, I love that "birdseye," but there's so much more involved. Fascinating!
The only thing that would make this video better is if we could hear what these beauties sound like-hopefully soon? 😎
Oh my Jumbo goodness Yes! Yes! Yes!
Outstanding!!! Love this!
That was Awesome, thank you ! I absolutely want one !

As someone who owns one of Ren's Gibson Custom Shop acoustic creations, I'm excited to see this happening. I'm definitely interested in ordering something a little more special than an off the shelf acoustic.
Ren looks healthy here too -- especially compared to his 2018 interview vid. Here's to many good years with this new venture!
Paul always finds the most interesting products... Can’t wait to see these finished. The New Yorker looks amazing.
I have always had a lot of respect for Ren. Would love to own one of his guitars!
Great news! Those New Yorker inspired models. Hmmm.

So fortunate to have a REN Gibson jumbo autographed quilted maple back guitar bought in Nashville 10 years ago
Just beautiful- incredible sound and sustain
Thanks for the tour. 🎶🎶🎶
Paul this is going to be a very exciting adventure, can’t wait to see the first one.
Interesting, beautiful, and wonderful. I hope you'll demo and show close-ups of the guitars you get from them.
My father is Larry brown and he worked for and with Ren in the late 60's and early 70's
Can't wait to listen to the tones of tese great guitars
Enjoyed this !
Interesting Development. A new brand how cool.
Looking at this outstanding vid, can't help but wonder why, or HOW, some feel compelled to give a disapproval rating ("thumbs down"). Well, enough wasting time wondering why for the past 2 seconds, can't wait to see what these look and sound like when Music Villa gets 'em in.
Since we know that MV is great at not only guitars but monitoring these forums (and ALL comm for that matter!), you ARE going to provide a demo of these when you get them in, right, Music Villa? Looking forward to the email notice on that forthcoming demo vid!
I can’t understand that either.
@@batman48195 - over the years, I've formed the view that some folks just have the need to complain (silent "thumbs down"=complaints in this case) or stand apart by going against the general consensus.
Anyhow, great to see/hear the demo on these Fergusons so soon (02-24-2021), right?
They do sound sweet!! Cool father/son story too.
@@batman48195 GREAT pop-son story! From this socialist cesspool (ooops! Derned spellcheck substituting cesspool for California) to Bozeman, building acoustics in a small shop.
This is a full circle story. Back to his roots.
Great stuff !
Grate Video 👍
Awesome
The big question is…………
Will I be able to afford one once they become available.🤞
If I could only afford a Ren guitar!
you should add a link to where we can buy these beautiful guitars.. thanks
How about Music Villa, when the get 'em in. Ferguson's been a custom guitar builder, referrals only (2:03). Looking forward to the demos as well ;-)
Where is the Ferguson shop located?
in the Bozeman area
I can’t find a website online. Do you have a link?
Don't believe he deals with the retail consumer trade, only referrals and shops (2:03...that one kinda' silently slipped by). While I understand an extreme passionate curiosity to learn more (we ARE...extremely curious!) more efficient that way from a craftsman's view.
@@DJWRailroad I’d love to get a referral and order one.
@@richardhoran6360 - Howdy RIchard. Fyi, as you're probably aware, since these are truly hand built expect a fairly high price. Regardless, reach out to the folks at Music Villa, they'll be able to help you if they can (availability) with the Fergusons.
Also, be aware that there'll probably be a waiting list no matter which model we would choose. These boys (Ferg) don't use a production line. Contact Music Villa though. Everyone I've referred to MV has been very satisfied all the way from the pre-order (selection, fair pricing, etc) through delivery. You can email them or call. One of the rare businesses who respond to emails and pretty quickly.
One request from you. Keep this forum posted, updated on your results with the Ferguson.
Time to start saving, I expect these will not go for less than 5k at minimum
gassing right now
GAS, an inherent side-effect of subscribing to Music Villa vids!
I wouldn't mind owning one of their "failures" !
