Michael Hedges was a friend of mine and tragically killed in a car crash on California's Rt. 128 when his 1986 BMW skidded off a slick, curvy road, slid down the embankment and flipped over, ejecting Hedges in the process. My first book, Kun Lun is dedicated to Michael Hedges. Michael was the inspiration for my writing career. Note to Macyn- your version of Ragamuffin sounds exactly like Michael's. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and I know he would be proud. Can we expect to see CD's by Macyn Taylor? You go girl!

I've been a fan of Hedges since the 90's. I've listened to several renditions of Ragamuffin. I truly think that this is the closest to MH's original album recording I've ever heard. Please keep up the good work! :)

As someone who's always been in awe of MH's guitar work, you've executed a stunningly great rendition of a very difficult song and with a beautiful ringing sound. Congratulations!
Probably the best rendition of this I've seen/heard. The chorus especially is very clean. The slaps are tight, without a lot of the incidentals that are present in most of the performances of this song, just sounds really clean and exact.
I can see a smile just waiting to burst onto your face all the way through! Really enjoyed it, its definitely not an easy song to play, that chorus riff takes excellent coordination to get it right. :D

I have seen Micheal Hedges live several times @ the Coach House and miss him preforming, I would first off like to say awesome job covering his song, I would dearly love to see how your preference of any style or how far you have come along in your performance as an guitar player. Do you tour? or play @ festivals. fans want to know /
that 1:34 smile is like "wow - this is actually me playing this well!" - it is definatley a knowing smile.... You're really good Macyn!! wish I had half your skill! Keep going! :)

Nice how your feelings for the work drifted away at the closing of the piece, as if in a place where the sound of the music was the only thing in the universe, a closing reminiscent of David Crosby's gentle "Guinnevere" on the landmark disc 'Crosby, Stills & Nash'. I guess that's why we play music. It just takes us from here to there...tom.c., kenosha.
