Early season powder! GREAT skiing conditions at Whiteface Mountain

- It snowed for 3 days straight. Needless to say, conditions were fantastic this week at Whiteface Mountain, especially for late November! In this video, I ski down newly open terrain. Whiteface usually opens with Excelsior, but this year they decided to open with Lower Northway, so this day was the first day that Excelsior was open. It was nice to ski it again! Great trail.
Whiteface Ski Area is located in the Adirondacks of Upstate New York and has a vertical of 3,166 ft. It's even higher if you're willing to do some hiking and the slides are open.
Whiteface Ski Area is located near Lake Placid, New York, in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. The area, including Whiteface Ski Area, hosted the 1980 Winter Olympics.
This video was recorded on Nov. 24, 2023. It was my 4th day of the ski season.

Awesome! How many days you planning to ski?
Gonna be there this weekend for the first time. Cant wait. Looks like they're getting hit with fresh powder today, saturday and sunday. Hopefully that forecast stays as snow and not rain!
It is raining at lower elevations right now, but hopefully we pick up some fresh snow overnight up high!

@@LincolnintheAdirondacks Not yet, I'm going sunday. I live near Albany and bought a ski3 season pass. Hoping it'll be snowy all day.
So I notice no snow making equip up there lol...obviously there's no need...I'm still thinking East skiing isn't like out West at least in Canada where snow making is sometimes needed but not mostly. I'm up in Northern Ontario Canada and my locale mountain is Searchmont Valley Ski Resort here and I crave to go down a hill that goes on for a long time....regardless mountain you have there!

It’s just the sun 😂 when I was watching all the raw footage it goes away when the sun does
