Thank you (!!) Les for a tutorial that anyone can follow - I found it highly informative (unlike so many other tutorials that assume people are familiar with working in PPTX, or those who only focus on Windows, to the detriment of MacOS.)
My question is: What if I simply want my Table of Contents to be a text list that hyperlinks to the appropriate slides? (as opposed to a selection of slides)
    My reason is:
I'm designing this to be sent out (not necessarily me "presenting")
I have a specific "look" to the table of contents slide (it has a background image with a particular format to the typography - meaning I don't want to create a table of contents that looks like it comes from a completely different design
Also, I don't want the viewer to be faced with a "pop up" and potentially confuse them. I just want the text to link to the slide to allow them to jump ahead
(and then I'll set out to create the persistent hyperlink back to the Table of contents page.
BTW - regards the hyperlink (to get back to the table) and whether the viewer is able to see it or not - none of my backgrounds are allowed to be see-through - all have images/colors to enhance the presentation

@erichfunke4219, is it fair to assume that you understand how to highlight text on a slide and under the INSERT ribbon menu click INSERT to create a text-based hyperlink to another slide in the presentation? That is the traditional method for for click and jump to slides, as opposed to the graphical solution from this tutorial. Before I respond further, can you confirm this knowledge and if not, I can elaborate more. (Includings some annoyances I don't like.)

This is an amazing tutorial! Thanks a lot.
One question that comes to my mind: ido you have "Zoom" Links on that section sides as well? Is there a way to download a dummy version of that to get even a better feeling on how you structured that? Parts are very "short" in the description :)

@ba singa, thanks for the comment. This specific example does NOT use "section zoom" but that would be a great alternative method. For the full "interactive" click capability to jump back to the table of contents at any time, the hyperlink trick is more flexible . . .otherwise you need to always complete the Section slides before returning to the master Zoom page.

@@PowerUpTraining Thanks a lot. What I'm wondering: why dont you use a "zoom" on the agenda slide and just copy that (in a small version) instead of an icon? Any issues with that? I'll gonna try it this way.

I am giving you extra credit for CREATIVE THINKING. I went it to test the idea by creating a ZOOM link icon and then copying it to the SLIDE MASTER parent; but failed to get it to function correctly. So in my quick test, I failed with this idea.

@@PowerUpTraining Yeah, same here. But i then just placed it nicely on one of my content slides and just copy and pasted it. It's a manual effort, true. But as it's a zoom I just can take the "placeholder"-agenda slide at first and just "update" it later.

Once again, great CREATIVE THINKING of a clever use of existing tools. Great job!
