  • The ability to attack the short ball with your forehand is essential at higher levels. Without this shot, you are forced to stay back and grind it out waiting for your opponent to make a mistake.
    It’s a shot that seems like it should be easy, but in reality a lot of players struggle with it. One of the key reasons why players struggle is not using the appropriate foot work. In this video I explain 2 different short forehand footwork patterns and the keys to making them work for you.

    Looking tip-top condition physically! Love your emphasis on footwork as too many times it's ignored at the recreation level.

    I have been using your drills and my game has improved tremendously. Just to let you know if you are in America you can get mini cones at the Dollar Tree and that is where I got my mini cones.

      @@TennisHacker Yes. That is the side even the pros miss. They run up to the ball quickly and smack it right in the top of the net or send it long. There is no strong right wrist to give it topspin so that is the toughie. Even club players dispose of short forehands.

      @@TennisHacker watch Federer and Nadal in slow motion and you’ll see what I mean. Good technique otherwise, but your wrist is too stiff
