6 Months ago, I made it my personal goal to build the absolute best Gaming PC for Minecraft, Bedwars, and video editing, costing somewhere near $5000 in total value. Ouch...
And this computer was absolutely insane, a RTX 3080 Graphics card, Ryzen 5800x CPU, and 32gigs of RAM, very impressive specs for a Minecraft PC. We were able to get up to 6000 frames per second and run some crazy ray tracing shaders. Everything was going great until one tragic day, something went horribly wrong.....

I mean, we can't really do much about how good our GPUs are so yea
the whining noise is because of the amount of frames it renders. If it renders too much frames it starts that noise, this is specially noticable in indie games when they dont cap the menu screen and gpus can easily render the simple menu in massive framerates

How'd you spend $5000 on a pc with a 5800x, 32 gb of ram and an RTX 3080? I have similar specs in my system, and the total amount of money I spent on it was around $2700. (It should be around $2000 but I got an $800 3060 during the height of the GPU shortage, very bad decision on my part.)
Scalper pricing, at the time it would've been $5000 ish, but I didn't buy from scalpers and was able to get the parts a lot cheaper though.

the whining noise is most likely the coil whine that most higher end gpus make due to higher power draw, and memory should be under 100c for long term use, so assuming your memory just burned out due to long term high memory tempature
2:43 my 1080 do that too but still working daily even 5 years later
the whining noise is probably the coil whine made from the cpu capacitors, almost no way to fix it besides undervolting, or can be fixed by capping fps to something low like 360.

I think that happened, cuz you had a lot of fps, if you cap it to your monitor's screen refresh rate (just turn on vsync), you won't see a difference (other than seeing your fps counter being a high number). I think everybody should enable vsync if a game supports it, it makes your game look smooth, and don't have these weird vertical lines and stuff. I hope that your graphics card won't be damaged another time.

My monitor only supports 75hz. So vsync is ass. Unless you have a high refresh rate monitor I don’t recommend vsync
u should cap ur fps bc ur monitor only has a 144-240 hz refresh rate, so u cant see more than that anyway. It also puts less load on ur gpu

I was wondering maybe my graphics card might be dead would you know of like me getting 800 fps and then it just goes back and forth with 50 then 800 and I have a laptop but it is not a bad one but while my laptop is plugged in my battery starts dieing? Only when I play luner on Java 1.8.9
Same happened to me, but with a 4060. I was casually playing minecraft singleplayer, when it just turned off and the same thing happened what did to guiny. I swapped my 4060 for my old gtx 750 ti, and my pc came back to life. Now i am stuck with this gtx for the next week or so 🫠

hey, your gpu is making that whining noise (called coil whine) because your gpu was being overworked trying to render the thousands of frames per second you were getting on minecraft. you can fix it by capping your fps instead of setting it to unlimited. hope this helps!

Ih yea avrege vram temp under stress test is 90c but 110 is hot and 3080 fe has vram temp issues but usually dosent kill itself that fast

can't the warranty cover it? It was brand new and never disassembled, therefore the overheating memory chip is inherently there. AKA, factory defective.. slightly..

i got an new Radeon Graphics card and CS:GO was running fine pc building simulator 2 was running fine up until i played minecraft
with mods and then some seconds later a dark purple and light purple strips appeared and when i turned it on surprise surprise it wasn't booting up to windows
the windows loading will come up and then next is just a black screen
and my father tired to format but i had my old graphics card which is an GTX 650 Ti from Zotac
when the windows 7 format screen came up the screens were distorted
and i jumped in excitement and then my dad swaped the card and it is now working
and i now have an GTX 1050 Ti OC edition from Zotac
its fine for not uploading all though how good do you think a RTX 2060 is or should i get RTX 3080??????
