They do work in keeping the stuff down in the water. Just taken the disk's out of my two down hear i just don't need them with the up flow if front of the Pod's you will see in next weeks video down hear
A really useful video as I’m a fairly new member of the nexus club and I’m also running a nexus 200. You mentioned the upgraded micro K1 chamber. Can you not just change the media or do you have to install the upgrade to the inner chamber ? Great little tip on the back flushing of the inner chamber, think mine has become a little blocked so will give that a go tomorrow before work. Keep it up mate and one of these days I’ll get over and see a proper filtration setup ! Keep safe and looking forward to the mid week update !
Nice video and well put together, i never minded cleaning my 210 out, its kind of therapeutic watching all the muck come out of the media. Although i dont miss it when its freezing or p'ing down lol
Can't fault the nexus filters imo. I love my 200, the crap it pulls out is unreal. I too have swapped out the standard k1 in the centre for micro. Great video mate 👍🏻
I have had mine years mate and if you're welling to get out and clean them then they are great.. I feed heavy too. (Sorry liked your comment from a channel I had to set up for shooting videos lol)
Great video again Dave! Like the sail shade! When you flush out the filters with the hose do put it through a big blue or anything first? I do agree regarding the flow rates and the shower. I definitely think the shower benefits from a high turn over rather than the evo equipment . Keep them coming. Stay safe!
No straight from the hose for cleaning, those filters TO ME are just mechanical. No bacteria to be saved in the eazy sections in my opinion. The bio side of the nexus and the shower especially is my biological filtration. Cheers
@@dkoi-tv fair, I tend to always make sure mine is filtered but if it works for you then great! I do however wash my easy strait from the hose but avoid the media. I’ll have to get a video up also of my cleaning process. Anyway.... great videos! You sure have got the editing spot on now; love it! All the best mate!
@@cornwallkoi6743 Yeah the eazy sections get the hose as they are mechanical filtration only in my eyes. I wouldn't hose the bio side or my shower..... Great video mate is it 18 litres of micro k1 one in the easy for the upgrade ? Regards Matt and there’s nothing wrong with shorts and welly’s proper bloke wear 😂👍🏻
I hit it with the hose to get the water spinning at a high speed just to draw everything out of the media centrifugal force. That's all, speed things up a bit 👍🏻
Can't beat a good filter clean video dude especially when you're laid up stuck on the sofa unable to do Jack shit {fecking arthritis kicking the shit outta me} 😭 Pond looking good though dude 👍👍👍
@@dkoi-tvThanks mate 👍👍👍 you're not wrong as the ibc tank has just been dropped off 👌I just hate having to rely on others to help me with the labour intensive work 😪
The centre of the Nexus and the eazypod are mechanical filtration. They are used to store fish poo and waste. The bacteria that settles on that is of no benefit to my pond. That's my opinion and experience. I don't spray the bio side of the Nexus with fresh water. Also IN MY OPINION only lol as others may disagree. I would say 80% of my biological filtration is coming from the ceramic media in my shower. 👍🏻👍🏻. Thanks for watching.
Thanks nice run through ,love the sail looks fab ,hope you had a good Father's Day x
I did indeed thank you the ladies spoiled me.... Thanks for watching..
Great video Dave squeaky clean filters love the shade sail stay safe 🙏🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🙏
Thanks Carol, had to protect them from that sun, although it was pouring it down when I put the sail up and there has been no sun since hahaha
Great value yet again Dave well done
Cheers bud 👍🏻
Loved my Nexus and easy Pod. Good informative video Dave. Cheers
Cheers Steve,
Nice run through Dave. Love the sun shade sail. Really cool!
Turned out okay don't ya think? Thanks for watching Lau....
@@dkoi-tv most definitely! The rectangular one would have not looked right on your pond but the triangular one is really cool.
Nice overview of your filters and maintenance regime. Loving the sail cloth I'm looking to get one soon 👍

Dave, I thought the pod with the UV was pump fed only. Have you just cut the inlet to use it as gravity?
Yes converted mine to gravity fed. Sharp eye wondered who would spot it lol.
