- Timmy & Debbie take us on a vintage weekend in Bedfordshire. The site of the Glenn Miller Museum at Twinwood, a one time WW2 airfield hosts this fabulous 1930's, 1940's, 1950's and 1960's celebration of fashion, objects, curios, live music and jolly nice times. Campers, Motorhomes and Caravans descend on the site by the thousands to explore this haven of retro periods. We sing, we dance, and we shop, eat, drink and be merry. So come with us...

great festival guys glad we got there early no queing or mud
Been to many festivals in the campervan the last 15yr - but not this one. Have just booked tickets for 2023 on the strength of your video.... really looking forward to it. Great video by the way - it captures the atmosphere perfectly😊 Thanks for posting.

@@Vanwithnoplan Met you both @Twinwood '23 while walking around the site....amongst the thousands of people there i spotted you both [by the classic cars] and had a chat🙂 Great festival and people really friendly....was there for the full six days. Perfect setting as well with a large open air arena and smaller more intimate settings amongst the trees .....so many highlights, but the one that stands out was the Glenn Miller Orchestra [UK] on the Sunday afternoon, with the original connection with Twinwood it was all very moving.....have always been a fan of Glenn Miller's music as well. To sum up... an amazing festival with lots of atmosphere and many happy people - still on a high over a week later😊
One connection between us...we both have an Auto-Sleeper, mine being a smaller VW T4 Trident campervan.
Love your Welsh accent and humour [hunter shopper.....must remember that]😄

@@geoffcorker6882it was a really nice surprise to meet you (twice indeed!!) We’re so glad that Twinwood delivered for you Geoff. Glenn Miller tunes on Sunday were possibly our high spot too. It was a glorious afternoon. We’re off to the @south west motorhome show at Shepton Mallet next for, 80’s guitar heroes theme… “and now for something completely different…” as they said. Thanks for sharing, I'm not going this year, going to Vintage by the Sea in Morecombe. I am really keen to get a camper van so I can take my pooches on trips with me. How is your little dog when you are at Twinwood does he just settle down when you go out and about?
@@Vanwithnoplan I have a over anxious mini poodle who howls but he is only a pup my other dog is more chilled but howls when I leave her if in a strange place.🤦♀I need to really think about the camper van option because I love taking my dogs to events and currently limited to daytime events. Thanks for your response.☺
I guess if the van becomes a nice place for your pooches, they may not howl when you leave them for a short while… costly though if they don’t get to like it. Good luck 🤞🏼
